- What can I say more about this bike. It has been a blast to ride and review the Devinci Troy 29. It really is a bike that flies under the radar but cannot say enough great things.

I built one of these when they first came out. It’s a great AM bike but I’m mainly using it for park riding now. For most of the XC stuff I do it’s often a bit too much bike. I mostly ride my Stumpjumper. I had a 2019 Troy as well. The 21 is longer and leans a bit more enduro in some ways.
The current Troy is a bit deceiving with it's 140mm rear travel because it really can smash like a bigger bike. It really owns that AM bike category that seems to be coming back. Going up it is comfortable, calm, and does so with enough haste. Down it's poppy enough yet eats the chatter and can hit the bigger lines better than other 140mm and even better than some 150mm bikes I have ridden. I agree it is no XC machine but for a do everything bike I cannot think of a bike I like better than the Troy.....and that's saying a lot for me since I love all bikes. Thanks for stopping in Greg.
@@StraightLine_MTB I think you’re spot on. It can hold its own against bigger bikes and still climb.I ended up moving to a 160 Lyrik and like it a lot. Rear X2 not so much.
Been waiting for this!! Love my Troy 💯 awesome review you speak my language!
It's an excellent do most bike. Really can get you up and down the mountain easily. Watched your video before I bought it.....so thank you for the recommendation
Bro such a sick bike I didn’t realize you were riding that bike in Sedona. Some bikes are so badass at 140mm. My evil offering is 140mm and it’s my do all bike I always grab
Yes sir. 140 bikes are kinda the ticket right now. Game on for the mid travel gang. Thanks for stopping by brother 🙏 🙌
@@StraightLine_MTB always compa 🤘👊
Troy looks awesome but a little overkill for my local Midwest trails. I built up a 2021 Devinci Django trail bike and it's so versatile and balanced. I've set many pr's on XC trails compared to my 2016 Trek Fuel even being a few lbs heavier. Running a 140 Fox 34 on the Django currently but will be putting on a 150 Mezzer Pro which will be a much better match for the bike I think. Fox 34 at 140 feels a little too flexy through rough terrain
Django looks like a great bike, and I'm eager to try one. Mezzer is an amazing fork, and I'm looking to get back on one. Sounds like you have a great setup. Thanks for watching!
Beautiful bike and great video. Thank you! 👍
Thanks for watching Paul
Great! I was waiting for this.
Sorry it took so long. Might have to try the new Spartan 🤔
Dang! I was actually looking at the three bikes you compared ( Ripmo AF GX, Troy Alloy GX, & Meta TR Race).
I went with the Meta TR Race.
Meta TR is a beast for sure and is a beautiful alu machine. For me the TR is a DHers trail bike as it really rides like a bigger bike like the Troy. You cannot go wrong with bike choice these days as the differences are small. TR is the Rock N Roll bike for sure.....just a bad ass on the trail and I love that about the Meta bikes. Thanks for dropping in RD.
@@StraightLine_MTB yea, I really wanted to stay within this travel for pretty much an All Mountain bike. Either one of these bikes would have to be special order so I've been trying to find some honest opinions. You helped me pick on the Meta TR on one of your videos.
Thanks!
I think the Troy is one of the most beautiful frames. Sounds like you need to try a Devinci Spartan next
I would love to try the Spartan. That bike looks amazing. Troy is shocker of the year for me. It's a bike that I cannot really complain about.
Thanks for the good info man! Seems really nice, but I'm feeling so "super boost resistant" right now. My short list right now is the Meta TR and the Transition Sentinel!
Superboost is something I'm not a fan of as it is another standard that I feel isn't necessarily needed. The bike is amazing so I'm able to look past it. TR and Sentinel are great options. Each do things a little differently but can't go wrong either way.
@@StraightLine_MTB Agreed. Do you happen to remember which of the two (TR/Sentinel) you thought pedaled better? Cheers.
@@Windband1 I'd say the Sentinel pedals better but I had the carbon. Not a fair fight but the carbon Sentinel will be lighter. I also felt the Sentinel had more pop.
@@StraightLine_MTB Nice. Thanks for your input! Take care.
I have a 2020 Troy, super boost does not bother me, got a 2nd Hunt wheelset. These are amazing with coils too.
Gorgeous Steed!
Thanks brother. She is purdy
@@StraightLine_MTB stunning!
Hey vato I just bought a raze rr sl and I love it have you ridden any mondrakers???
Would be cool to see you ride one
Love the look of Mondraker bikes. Long and slack is my favorite. I'll have to work one in. How do you like it?
I really like it. It feels really stable and gives me confidence to ride it quicker than I did on my ripmo…I feel like its really grippy climbs the steep stuff here in Tucson AZ great and just feels like a bigger bike, suspension wise, than it is. Also very light
Nice 🙂
That looks like a nice bike how is the split pivot suspension. Have you trie it at Northstar. We have been riding Northstar every weekend.
I haven't taken it to Northstar but it did great at Downieville. I have the new HP Spartan with Split Pivot and will get it out there. Let's hook up and shred
@@StraightLine_MTB Awesome for sure brother.
i realy want this bike.. im korean can i buy it?
@@arsobo shipping would be very expensive. Although I am selling 😃
@@StraightLine_MTB thx answer
if i pay how much totally
i want small size yellow carbone right?
Curious how tall you are on the large?
I am 5'11.5" and this bike feels spot on with 40mm stem for me.
@@StraightLine_MTB Nice! Just picked up a large today and I'm about 5'10" was gonna try a 35 or 40mm stem. Feels a touch long but I really like teh extra stability.
@@minimalistmusician ot is such a beast on the descents especially for 140mm travel. Super fun bike that does a lot of things well
