I've been out of WC for a while now, but I found it easier keeping the squeegee in the same hole as the mop - the divider was always rubbing against the squeegee rubber and damaging it

Do you think you'd miss the swivel action on the strap when bending down say for a loe patio door inside etc. or does it give a degree of flexibility?

TBH I think the pocket scraper slot is a bit unnecessary/gimmicky as like on the Ninja BOAB a scraper in there day in day out rusts up super quickly. Best to just do like you do and keep a full sized scraper in a dedicated holster so it's dry and separate from the wet gear. As someone has commented that scraper slot position could be better used for a 3rd (6"inch) squeegee holder. (Disclaimer I'll still be buying the Moerman pocket scraper with blue rubber cover just go have a matching set but leave it dry unused in the tool box lol)

I'll stick with my Dry Walker. I've adjusted so I'm careful going in tight spots. Been using it a year and haven't had the drip catch fall off once and my leg stays dry. This looks cool but the Dry Walker works well for me.

I dont understand why they've placed the washer against the leg and made the washer slot even slimmer. Winter time and a soaking leg is a no no and this is what that creates. Frustrating that we have so many BOAB out there but they all have flaws.
They should've made a complete unit Drywalker. Detailed review as always Tradman, thanks.

Finally Moerman have made a bob for the Excelerator!!! I like that you can fit squeegee in either way (handle in or out). I understand them wanting to make it as slim as possible but not sure that applicator slot is wide enough as it removes water/solution after you have it as you want it. Have you tried with a scraper to see if that makes squeegees slot in easier? Looks goo though, I like it. Keep us informed.....

Problem with those MOERMAN BOAB's is that plastic (connection) clips after a couple of weeks, they brake or loose shape, and BOAB unclip and fall down. Had this problem with previous blue BOAB an Drywalker. Now bought of them are connected to my belt with zip ties. Hope they improved durability of this clips?

This 2.0 hip bucket looks promising, hopefully the blades don't rub. Being wider and holding the 2.0 handle better is a plus. I use an 18" High flier for a scrubber. Will it replace my Samurai hip bucket? It's good to see innovative designs.

  • @windowswashbasin
    @windowswashbasin 2 роки тому +1

I acquired a few of these recently. I like it but I really don’t use just a squeegee. I’m using the combinator and flip pad almost exclusively so the new separated squeegee slots in the bucket are not even used, though the large applicator slot is sufficient for my tools……..so the bucket ends up being more bulky for no additional advantage to me. So that’s just my take given my cleaning method. However as you describe I think it’s a good accessory.

Hi Peter, my initial thoughts, after 5 minutes of footage.
    1) number 1 priority ( is the squeegee rubber protected?), not happy that it sits, and rubs against the plastic divider, although I know you can get those protectors, but I can't understand why they wouldn't include those.
    2) you can't carry 2 or more squeegees facing the same way.
    3) the squeegee compartments are badly designed, as you have pointed out.
    Not impressed 😕.

I have the dry walker which I really love best boab I've ever had keeps the leg dry keeps all my liquidators that I use and plenty of water for my washer this looks like I'd have a wet leg again but maybe I'd buy one as the dry walker was like £50 so maybe this is a bit cheaper? It looks about as good as that type of plastic boab can be from the video.

I love the Dry Walker too. The good thing about it is the bucket itself should never break so if it does become faulty it's cheaper to buy the base kit instead of the complete. In the US it's around 30 bucks for the base and 60 for the complete set.

Hi. How would a 14" Excelerator and 18" Excelerator sit side by side (facing each other) in the main bucket compartment? Is there enough room? I use an old school Pulex Tubex BOAB with a neoprene coolie can cover to catch the drips for my T-bar, Liq's with EXL handles, but have many jobs where I need the Excelerators with the FLQ pads on in various sizes. Thinking this new BOAB for EXL's exclusively, and my old BOAB for T-Bars and Squeegees.
Any word from Moerman on END CLIPS for the Liq's? I think they are deliberately dragging out the poor design fixes so they can sell a new model each year or two. They should have sorted the sliding channels and end clips issues years ago, but (IMO) they're just making micro/incremental advances FOR PROFIT. MOERMAN get it sorted! Sorry bro...just ranting. I love my Moerman tools, but the design floors are well known and the fixes should be easy. Polzn Blades would have fixed them years ago, but the Pen Pusher accountants at Moerman headquarters in Belgium are milking us for every cent we have. Doing a review on the new Mini-Dr Angle-Arm soon?

For large panes of glass at commercial jobs you'll want something around 18 inches

@@cowboybob993 Would you recommend some kind of waterproof sealant afterwards? Total paint noob here.

I'm curious how this compares with the Drywalker Flex? Can't decide which to get

For me the dry walker wasn't great, the drip tray would fall off and spill out dirty water. The squeegee slots lasted about 6 month then started to shred. Some folks get on ok with it though.

No problem 😊 that's just my experience, if you fancy trying the DW then give it a go by all means you may get on with it better than me 😉
