Yeah the impact of developing a technique like the rasenshuriken is just all but gone. It’s the same with sage mode. They hype it up as something awesome and exceedingly powerful and then it’s just obsolete and irrelevant in the next arc of the story. It doesn’t help that the showrunners just kept upping the ante to the point where we are literally dealing with aliens from the moon. I get that shonen stories are meant for the hero to get stronger and stronger and deal with more powerful foes, but they really did Naruto dirty as a series with all the planet busting power scaling that came later. It all went out of wack. Looking back at fights like these with Kakuzu, Hidan, Sasori, Deidara, etc, and what we got towards the war arc and Boruto where Naruto is literally having a super saiyan fight and it’s not even the same universe. Kind of how like the Fast and the furious movies started off as street racing and road pirates harpooning trucks to steal their rig etc, and then suddenly we are at the 9th or 10th installment in the franchise and they’re flying tanks over a bride and going into space. And it’s like, you’ve lost the plot at that point. What a shame.
I agree and disagree. The implementation of that same jutsu is different... Showing how mature and smart he has evolved. How to use a simple weapon in more sophisticated and diverse ways is in line with his personality.
I watched this Battle now many many times but today is the first time i ask myself why Kakashi, the Copy Ninja never copied the Rasenshuriken from Naruto? Is there a good or did Kakashi never copied it because of honor to Naruto?
Nope. The Sharingan isn’t a magic jutsu-copying cheat code. The way it works is that its particular visual buffs - the improved perception and kinetic vision and the ability to see the flow and color of chakra - makes it the perfect tool for breaking down the inner workings of an enemy’s jutsu and memorizing their hand seals. It gives you a great theoretical understanding of the jutsu, but you still need the requisite skill and power to pull it off. Kakashi is a skilled enough jutsu technician that he can replicate most jutsu after seeing it performed once, but the Rasenshuriken is not most jutsu. It’s an S-Ranked jutsu that involves taking the highest level of shape transformation imaginable and adding a chakra nature transformation to it. It’s a difficult enough task that neither Kakashi nor Minato could pull it off, and the only reason Naruto could is because of his ability to use Shadow Clones to multiply the effects of his training.
