unorganized effort is fruitless. Boston MUST high post screen for shooters, then roll towards the basket expecting a pass or to rebound, low post play.
If CC would just wait for the screen, run shoulder to shoulder with the screener instead of just blowing past it before the screen is actually set. More times than not CC just blows past the screen with a huge gapping gap between she and the screener all while the screen is being set. It negates a roll to the paint for the screener and the defender easily gets over the top of the screen because of the gap to put CC right back in iso mode creating zero advantage. How was this not taught in high school or at Iowa?

I feel like nobody on the team understands how to set a screen. They go to set it and then drop out before it works allowing the other team to have easy access to double team CC while whoever set the screen is still sitting around the 3 point line. If they don't want to set the screen properly at least run toward the basket so that you can get the easy pass and layup. How many games and footage do you have to watch to see that you are not setting screens properly? If they don't get around this issue they will have to rely on luck for the rest of the season.

Aliyah and Caitlin come across as knowing exactly what happened in the game, and they both take accountability for their own lapses. Sides sounds like she has no idea what actually went on, she blames the players lack of experience, and doesn't really take responsibility for her own failures as a coach.

The team lacks leadership, trust, chemistry. This starts from up top. I do believe a better coach would help develop this young team. Right now, you have players who are playing major minutes for no reason, players who shoot every time they get it not looking to pass. The culture of the team has to change. Mitchell hasn't been successful on this team when she's been the primary scorer. Personally would get Mitchell off the team if she doesn't want to play team ball. You gotta weed these players out. Things have to change. CC is playing well despite not having the best offensive game which is truly scary and will only improve. There was a few instances where this team looked good with CC doing her thing. This needs to be looked at by the team.
Half the season is over. This isn't the NBA that plays 82 regular season games. The Fever coach wants her to give up the ball to other teammates so they can shine. They never pass the ball back to her. In one game, Caitlin had 20 Assists. Think of how many Assists that Caitlin Clark gets? Very little if none at all. And the coach is apparently munching on Wheeler, rumor only apparently. Rest of team were no shows tonight. This team just really needs to be disbanded. Seems obvious that they can not or do not want to play together and the coach has lost the team. Honestly, Caitlin should petition a buyout or just leave money on the table and play on a European team. She would make more money with alot less drama. She would be welcomed and probably become an international superstar like Ronaldo, Messi, and Beckham. The international cable channel could broadcast her games in the states.
