Do what works best for you! My aimlabs, kovaacks and rank in CS and Val have all gone up several divisions when I switched from right view to left view. I am right eye dominant. Could be placebo. Placebo that works for one may not work for others. been playing with the view model on the left for a while thinking I was right eye dominant, tested myself today and learned I'm left eye dominant, this video helped a lot!
Were climbing together, wouldnt be where I am without you, thanks for stopping by! Growth has been outstanding this year. In the "immortal Roadmap Program" coaching with several T2/T1/Pros and other masterclasses with Valorant players. The community has shared a bunch which helps tremendously. Kind regards :)
How would switching gun hands improve your aim in this case. Having the gun on the non dominant side should make 0 difference because you're going to be looking at the crosshair anyway. The gun is never in the focal point of your vision which is the part of your vision you're gonna be using for aiming. I could see an argument for dominance affecting percieving objects in the area around the focal point. I.e. you might be faster to spot enemies on the side of the screen which matches your dominant eye but that still wouldn't justify switching your gun side because enemies are equally likely to be spotted from left or right (unless you exclusively play in one corner of the map). I also read on a forum that the left handed gun model trend originated from early CS where there was no option to switch to right handed. The good players who had played since the beginning got used to LH gun models and people copied them because they reckoned that it must give them an advantage. I have no data on this so I might be wrong but this seems like more of a vibe than a legit tactic.
Also you could make the argument that blocking off your dominant eye with the gun means your dominant eye has to focus on fewer variables in the environment and thus focus better on the crosshair. So logically you should have the gun covering your dominant side.
"Spot on, it's a vibe with a mix of logic. However, I, as well as many pro guides and coaches, recommend not covering your dominant eye side with your gun. Likewise, I encourage looking at the model's head, not the crosshair (as much) - it made a huge difference for me from silver to plat+ on the climb to Radiant top 500 US. I recommend the Valorant coach "Woohoojin" - they have tons of UA-cam videos that go in-depth on the logic behind this. How fast your brain picks up info, passive vs active aim, are we sitting close to the monitor, are we an arm's length away - do what's comfortable for you. There are pros and cons to both. The CS thing is true; there was a console command to switch sides depending on which angle you're clearing, attacking vs defending, etc. Some VCT pro matches were lost due to a gun model blocking a player on Icebox at an angle a year ago - wild clip, it's out there to find. Thanks for your feedback; I hope this helps, as well as others in the community! GLHF @@heinzmonster
@@wraithblender117 I'm nowhere near the fundamental skill level where eye dominance would affect my play. I'm not adjusting to an entirely new screen layout when there are far more important factors I could be working on.
Bro this method has nothing to do with eye dominance. It just depends on how you position your hand in front of your face. 1 centimeters to the left or right but still in front of your face changes the out come 🤡
stretch your arms as far away from your face, and try again. Can make a circle with your thumb/pointer finger with one hand. I reccomend doing the two handed triangle method stated in the video. Good luck, Champion.
Good luck in your matches! Reach out to me with questions or tech you'd like to improve upon, happy to make a guide. Catch these tips and tricks live on www.twitch.tv/sybreeds daily
I had a bug with cypher where that happened lol. looked like an old Nintendo 64, 8 bit game for a moment, ill post that to tiktok and comment on this again :) ... fun fact, the POV in game of valorant centers you at your characters forhead. Which is why it can feel awkward to aim higher for a lot of players. The gun model is lower and right/left of the screen which makes a lot of new FPS players get dizzy, since enemy models or bots in the range look taller than you, key point, they're the same height, its just a POV thing. Keeping the crosshair in the center of their screen and aiming a bit higher goes a long way in this game. Good luck, have fun!
reach as far away from body as possible. try making a circle with thumb + pointer finger, then try the two hand triangle method, lots of other videos explain the methods too!. Choose an object a good distance from you. You could have ocular ambidexterity. Try whats comfortable for you!! Perhaps drills in aimlabs, Kovaaks and Valorant (range/Deathmatch) - which scores are higher over a 1-2 week trial period? Keep ups posted on your journey! good luck, have fun!
"Happy to hear the video taught you well! If you are left-eye dominant, then the default view model on the right is fantastic 👍 It will allow your left eye to pick up information more efficiently in-game.
Also a Yoru main here, I did come across that "how to test" picture a few weeks after getting into Valorant, found out I'm right eye dominant, switched handedness to left and after getting used to it, it's definitey miles better than the default right handedness. Fits well canonically, cause I'm left handed IRL as well. :-D
Happy to hear you found a method that works for you! Yoru mains unite! Thank you for sharing! do you play with mouse in left hand, keyboard on right? Have seen a few pros try it. I tried as well, so challenging. I stuck to just view model on left, but play KBM left hand, mouse right. GLFH in your Valorant journey!
interesting! What feels comfortable for you? Is Valorant your main game, any other games you play left vs right model? Perhaps do some range drills and tally the scores over a bunch of drills and see which is higher vs lower score. Maybe deathmatch a bunch and see how you clear angels/scores, ect. Thanks for sharing, thats cool you're ocular ambidexterity! 😃
@sybreedsTV right hand view performs better for me but the score isn't too different around 1 to 2 difference. On practice range bots. I did both sides 10 times and managed to get on average 24 on the right and 22 on the left. As for games I've touched almost every title u can think of.
Eye dominance has no impact on watching a 2d screen…this has been common knowledge in gaming years before Valorant was released
source??
searched it up , unable to find anything

Nah ur neutral
Nah hes just visually handicapped.@@octmonk8146
make the ring very very small, so small so that the object barely fits inside it, then try again and tell me if it worked
