Kudos to AK....Arslan came this close again to winning again, fighting his way through the lower brackets. Not to mention, I was surprised that only two Pakistanis had entered this event, and both of them ended in the Top 3. Massive respect to Pakistan and Phillipines.

Pakistan is restricted by having the weakest passport in the world and also many players from there don't have the money to travel. They really should move some majors to Pakistan and other Asian countries to accommodate them

6:17 AK's name came from his childhood when he couldn't pronounce his full name, Alexandre, so he opted for "AK". I remember asking this question in his stream around 2020-2021(Pandemic era) .
We've been eagerly waiting for this to happen to end his second-place curse in Tekken 7, including Evo Japan, SEA Games, and two TWT LCQ 2nd places. Now, in Tekken 8, he broke the curse and emerged victorious!
Thank you for the shoutout to the Philippines. I've been a huge fan of yours, especially learning Kazuya from your guides.
I hope that in the next world tour, a major event will emerge in the Philippines.
Congratulations, Boss AK! Such a wholesome player and so humble. He inspired me to take Tekken seriously since Tekken 7(but i play since tekken3) . Truly a Tekken prodigy in the Philippines.

And that whioe rising 3, canceling combo is extremely hard. Shout out to AK because to do that in tournament is crazy good.
WS1 was in Tekken7 but it only gave a f2,3
Also, i want to point out how difficukt these counter hit WS1's are. To even do tye WS1, you have to use a mive that lets you use the shade step, then cancel it, then near frame perfect, exicute the WS1. Then react to it cause its a near just frame to input the follow up.

Everyone is out to get Arslan seeing that he is beatable in Tekken 8 after he dominated in 7. He's got too much pressure on him and he's put too much pressure on himself. Every tournament he looks stressed like he's in a life or death situation which is the complete opposite of his calm and stoic tekken 7 runs. With every 2 or 3rd place finish he gets in a tournament his confidence decreases and he puts more and more pressure on himself to perform. He should just relax and enjoy himself like he used to

The reason the Tekken scene isn't as big in the Philippines is because of the barrier of entry, PH is a developing country and in Tekken you'd need a console that costs more than a single minimum wage (i think 2) and a PC that lasts like 2-5 of them, not to mention the game costs 70 dollars minimum to play online as well, this is also the reason why mobile eSports thrive here (MLBB, CODM) although along with valorant though that is very easy to run on PC.
Thank God for the modding scene of T6's PSP port because they are at least bringing some Tekken 8 (and even 7 then) stuff and movesets for some characters to give such players like MYSELF the opportunity to at least lab it despite inaccuracies.
I also want Tekken 8 to have an arcade release for this sake
