Fab cover of this classic LR tune. Incredible how dark his songs were, while 90% of his contemporaries were still singing about peace and love. I think I may have mentioned already on the forum that a girlfriend of mine broke up with me (on acid) by playing this repeatedly until I got the message. Heavy scenes man!
Ah fab Brian! I see this was on the deluxe vinyl version. I have the non deluxe version on CD so I wasn’t even aware they’d covered Lou Reed. Smooth page turning, or scrolling on your tablet at the end…I like to think you went a bit lo-fi and had to turn a page 👍. Thanks for bringing this to Seasons.
@@PGUke Thank, John! Yeah this may be the only cover they ever did on a record. One of my favorite LR songs and I’ve been itching to record it. Ps What looked like a page turn was actually grabbing my egg shaker for the climactic lines of the final chorus. 🤓
Love me some Lou Reed (or "Squeeze" in this case) ... great job as ever, Brian!
Nice duet! Really nice cover with good playing and singing. That's the kind of sound that if I heard in public, I'd hang out and listen.
Well done. I like the little riff. It reminds me of one we did in our teenage garage band. Pleasant sounds.
darn this is so great brother! standing O here

Superb playing Brian, I thought it might be a Stranglers song when I first saw the title.
