I sell appliances and I never really thought about recommending a top load washer and front load dryer together because I thought it would look too strange, but it looks great at your house! A lot of my customers hate bending over to get things out of a regular dryer, so I can show them your video and see how they like it!
Your laundry room inspired me. I cannot remodel mine for a few years, so I am cleaning it, decluttering it, and doing some decorating. I bought a great rug, clock, cute tin sign, basket, and I am going to make a really cute curtain to put across the area between cabinets where the litter boxes are. I found some really cute retro fabric, so the room is looking great. I love your ideas and your room is very attractive.

a Time As This-I have a flat venting tube that we purchased from Home Depot for the dryer. My last home had the washer dryer that stuck out from the wall a ways, so when my husband brought home a close to the wall vent I was very excited!
I just stumbled across your video! I love your laundry room!!! I did the same thing for a folding table and thought I'd share a tip. Get your husband to pick up a lattice strip tp tack to the front edge of your top. You can stain it to match and it makes your top look more like furniture. Just a tip! Thanks for the video, gave me lots of inspiration.

Becky - very efficiently organized laundry room. I really like that you have everything in a specific area and stocked with the necessities. Manufacturers are making more top load machines now because people prefer them. I presently have a front load but when I am ready to re-purchase I will be buying a top load. I am glad you like the crosses they used to be on my Christmas tree then when I changed themes I had to decide what I wanted to do with all of them, they went perfectly with the washer & dyer! I no longer work outside of the home due to helath issues (my back) I am trying to launch a new blog site that will tell a little more about my family and our home plus maybe offer a few products, that part is still up in the air :). I have had many questions on our personal life and thought that would be a good place to post and maybe allow me to get to know a few of my subscribers. I am currently a cosmetologist for over 10 yrs. ! Runs in the family. . Lol.. I also am certified in Childrens Etiquette and weddings.....which I love my hand in that.....but my passion is in decorating as well as a wreath designer. I started with weddings and got to be to much for me then did childrens princess parties, which were mini versions of my weddings they were that elaborate. I also have a deep love for Victorian homes/time period and did tea princess tea parties with a of Victorian flair also teaching etiquette of that time period I could go on and on. Wish we could converse in a not so public way. I bet we are very much a like :) I had a place that people where sending me messages that weren't on the site and was able to respond but I no longer see that option I guess Google removed that option?

I with you the whole freezer in the laundry room just doesn't work for me either. I am also a lover of most things that are oil rubbed bronze and I never thought about painting my shelving but that is exactly what I am going to be doing.
Trudy Lindsay-Hello Lindsay! I use a damp cloth on all areas. Then on the inside upper interior rim and on the exterior outer lid I put a little dish soap on a damp cloth. I try not to use any soaps/cleaning agents on the interior parts of the machines :) Ps my barrels stay clean unlike my ones that I had before these stainles steel ones are awsome and never get dirty. My old ones did and I would use very little dish soap to clean the ring that would form then made sure I left no detergent on the barrell

My health is much better and I am trying to get back into posting videos again. We recently moved into a smaller fixer upper so that I can manage easier after the chemo treatments I just can seem to do as much. I am in remission and am enjoying our new home. +Kathy MacKenzie It is somewhat difficult. I have to pull the barrel over by hand and hold it in place while I use my other hand and a rag to wipe it clean. Worth my trouble because I know it would bother me knowing it was there if I didn't haha

My health is much better and I am trying to get back into posting videos again. We recently moved into a smaller fixer upper so that I can manage easier after the chemo treatments I just can seem to do as much. I am in remission and am enjoying our new home. Thanks for asking have a blessed Christmas and may the New Year bring you much joy :)

Is it me, or do these your videos seem to show people w/ a whole lot of stuff? I had no idea people used so much stuff! It's interesting to watch.
LOL, yes I have a lot of stuff. We recently down sized and still manage to have a lot of stuff. It is great to be organized when you have much to be thankful for.
I'm happy for you. I think it's great that you can manage it all so well. I'm just not used to seeing so much but I really do enjoy seeing the beautiful upkeep. Take care.

How do you clean the top of the washer out ? Where the wet lint collects .
+Kathy MacKenzie It is somewhat difficult. I have to pull the barrel over by hand and hold it in place while I use my other hand and a rag to wipe it clean. Worth my trouble because I know it would bother me knowing it was there if I didn't haha
