Exactly my thinking also! I am 73 and married over 40 years, but even as a prospective bride I would need privacy and space and peace to choose. Enough pressure without adding more!!! Am wondering what "bonus", whatever is granted to attract anyone to this ordeal??!!
This explains why several brides get married in different dresses to the one they chose on the show, if the show got aired before their wedding and their friends, family and fiance saw their chosen dress, they might decide to buy another dress to get married in that will be a surprise on the big day.
So, what's in it for the bride? It doesn't sound like they benefit at all, other than being on television. Does the show cover any of her costs, travel, hotel, dress (up to a certain amount), anything? It sounds like they have to pay for show/channel to make money off of them, their families, and their stories.
Some of them have gone on to fulltime reality shows in the housewife's of ... And other shows. So a very small few have used it to launch acting careers.
Why am I not surprised! Except for the taping the “yes” over again if it wasn’t a good enough reaction!! Lol. That’s so crazy….. but it’s all about ratings and viewership. There has to be some big discount for appearing. Otherwise why go through all of that craziness?
The Pnina dresses are inspired by the lingerie that Victorian and Edwardian era prostitutes would wear. And they are equally tacky and trashy. Actually, Pnina’s dresses are often more revealing than the antique underwear. And then the obsession with the Swarovski beads which drive up the price of the dress like crazy. It’s glass, folks! Cheap glass! It’s costume jewellery. It’s worth nothing.
Just because I'd try on a Pnina doesn't mean I'd say yes to a Pnina. I do believe her gowns are stunning, but it takes the right person to pull off her dresses. There are as many Lazaros or even Randys, etc. who have gowns that catch the eye or have just the right whatever. Let the show have it's drama, just be focused on you and your party finding you the right dress for you. While they have rules for who to put on, you could just as easily come up with an agreement with your entourage that all the comments deep down you're NOT going to take personally because they truly are not commenting on you as a person or your true style or the overall outcome of the wedding. What they're commenting on is the dress presented in front of them on you. To be honest, it's VERY unlikely that you'd bring someone who critiques your every move and lambasts you to something as delicate as this appointment.
I do t think (no, I’m positive) that I won’t be watching this show ever again! The miserable at least one person in the retinue is more than I can stand! And personally, I think it’s disgusting what prices bridal gowns are going for and for the looks,of way too many of them!
Only wants the big deal why will you not watch it again because they have too many rules will they all know about them before they get there so it’s their decision not yours
If I were a bride and I just HAD to go to Kleinfeld for a dress I'd choose a Wednesday or Saturday. I would never want to be on the show and I think I'd have a better experience w/o all the cameras and filming going on around you. Being anywhere near where they were filming would take away from the experience. Again, that's if I just HAD to go to Kleinfeld. There are hundreds of other boutiques with amazing dresses at a fraction of the cost.
They often show brides trying on dresses over their budget. I wonder if part of the drama is that they state the lower end of the budget than what the real top of the budget is
Your video answered questions I didn't know I had about SYTT. I'm curious which episode the bride at 7:45 was in. Looks like it was an unusual but satisfying video and appreciate any links your have.
and hold up - so theyre saying the more drama ur entourage can bring the better? so theyre ok with some members of the entourage bullying the bride or bridesmaid? that seems pretty effing toxic just to get some ratings
I'm out of the bride running at 72 but there is no way I would agree to any of this. Not worth the hassle.
Exactly my thinking also! I am 73 and married over 40 years, but even as a prospective bride I would need privacy and space and peace to choose. Enough pressure without adding more!!! Am wondering what "bonus", whatever is granted to attract anyone to this ordeal??!!
The part about the budget is baloney. I see brides trying on dresses out of their budget all the time.

I’m sorry…but I think to have the episode on before the wedding is TACKY!
So what is the benefit for being in the show? Is the bride get a big discount on her dress?
My thoughts exactly...
Obviously for the attention. It is for their GIANT egos!
So it’s a casting call.
Of course. It’s a tv show. They have to get ratings or it gets cancelled
Strangers ,recording equipment along with all of those other things is a big HELL NO for me.
This would turn me off from buying a dress there....
Why would you drink alcohol while shopping? Is that a thing? I wouldn't even imagine that it would be something anyone wanted to do.

They know all of this and agree to go on the show: looks like giant egos...They love love love the attention, as brief as it is...
Some of them have gone on to fulltime reality shows in the housewife's of ... And other shows. So a very small few have used it to launch acting careers.
@@dashelyc how meaningful.
Explains why it’s so irritating-always have that one person who wants to ruin the appointment or be overly rude or dramatic. Phoney
I do love to watch this show, but oh HELL no do I want to be on it. Anyone who agrees to this should understand their contract clearly.
15 minutes of fame will make some people lose their minds.
The whole wedding industry is a massive scam, in my opinion...I got married in red velvet 😀
Manufactured drama. No thanks
Thanks for the info.
They are treated so well and Kleinfeld honors the brides to be.

I wish I could try on Pina tornai most expensive dress! Her work is definitely my taste.
I totally agree!
This has so put me off watching, authentic is better.
That's terrible that they are forced to try on a Panina dress. Most are tack trashy and way overpriced.
They can always opt out and not take part of the show...

Interesting, thanks.😊
I would like to go in and get counseling from the staff on why im not dating or trusting people 😅

so what does the bride get, if anything??
Unique personalities.😂
No, I would never want to be a part of this show! In fact, I am never going to watch this show again!!!

It won't let me post a link, but if you search on TLC's channel for "Lauren Finds an Amazing Caped Dress" you can find it.
SAY YES TO THE
Wow! Interesting! Thank you!!! Now I know for sure I will NOT be participating!
I hope all goes well for Hailey🙏
I believe there should have been another rule which says the bride pays for everything -- plane fare, hotel, meals, cabs and full price for the dress.
so is it 13 or 14 things
