John Paul I'l last Wednesday audience the day before his death. It's not the whole of what he said that day by any means, but contains whatever audio and video I have available to me. I hope to supply captions in other languages as well.

Isn't that a sad irony: the man in the audience wished him long life but the Pope would die just the next day.
He seemed like a very warm and decent person...the church could benefit with someone like him as pope after the coming election

Pope John Paul I also mentioned an exam at the end of our lives when we have to account to Jesus for what we did. It was so sad he said that just 1 day before his own death.

I am fortunate to have my copy of John Paul I’s brilliant book, “Illustrissimi.” At the time, his wit and erudition frankly surprised me. A scholarly man that could still engage the attention of the young.

John Paul I: A man who deserved to be Pope.
33 days but 33 well lived days. I hope he is in peace.

I often think of him. The humble smiling Pope and wonder what might have been if he had lived longer.

Hello, everyone. I just wanted to share the good news. A book of my translations of Pope John Paul I's writings as a bishop and cardinal was published today. It's called "A Passionate Adventure: Living the Catholic Faith Today." You can get it on Amazon or here: www.taucrossbooks.com

Doesn’t matter to be Pope for one day or a hundred years. Just serve the Lord’s will...
