@@varuniriyagolle2788 it's not about how diverse the nominations should be it's about beautiful and talented works being nominated. Awkwafina should have been nominated because of her talent not because she is an Asian American and that should never be taken as an eligibility (it's the opposite happening here but still) to nominate anyone. Few of the scenes which she did are very hard, it really seemed raw for that alone she should be nominated.

      Don't be insufferable, please.
Women hate the term ''boss lady'' or ''female boss'' because sex should be irrelevant from the description. The same goes for acting. Actors is inclusive of everyone who acts.

@@DC-oy3gk Don't be an idiot, please.
I posted a quote of hers (which you immediately misunderstood by explaining to me that most younger generations don't know how to speak ''Chinese''). And to be clear: I have no problem with you misunderstanding me (we all make mistakes) but when I then explained to you what I actually meant... You became condescending for no reason.
Yes, I am Chinese. And no, it's not called ''Chinese''. It's Mandarin and Cantonese. Neither of which are referred to as ''Chinese''.

    • @DC-oy3gk

I merely tried to explain to you that Chinese is a hard language to learn and pronounce. Most of us younger generations don't know how to speak Chinese and when we decide to learn it, we usually have a hard time pronouncing the words and hitting the right intonations. I learned the language years ago, that's why I'm able relate to the things she said :" I didn't think I could ever speak Chinese", because at first that was what I thought.
By the way, which part of my reply that was condescending? I said I'm pretty sure you ain't Chinese. And I'm still not convinced that you're Chinese, since you don't even know that Mandarin is standard Chinese spoken by most of us Chinese people. You said in China people speak Cantonese, lol.
And don't call someone that you don't know an idiot, if YOU yourself is one. You're the one that's condescending.
