- Spinosaurus aegyptacus goes fishing in a late-Cretaceous river.
This one took me a long time, mainly because of work and study but also partially because of how many times I had to paint a new background! :P
Sound effects partially from Pixabay.com, and partially recorded by me.

The year is 2105, and paleontologists now know that Spinosaurus was a flying filter feeder with laser vision.
I love this comment, thank you
and spoke fluent italian
"A flying filter feeder" XD
XD
As a spino fan this was hilarious😂
Now I wish we’d actually get such a discovery.
I love the little detail of the birds resting on the spino and even pecking at him for food, kinda like how some birds peck parasites off of animals like cleaners in our time!
that attack was so realistic
Spino looks so proud of his catch, it’s like a cat showing their owner they caught a mouse.
I like that you didn't make the Spinosaurus look like a monster like most media tries to do. It looks more natural and expressive, like it would have in real life. I've never seen anything like your animations before.
same here, its quite refreshing
Finally someone who depicts the spinosaurus acting like a predator instead of a killing machine. Even most documentaries i've watched made dinosaurs look more terrifying than they probably ever were. (And yes, i know this sounds weird looking at this humongous animal.) The birds also make it feel more realistic.
I agree with you on this. I think they sensationalize dinos for marketing reasons. But the norm was probably more like this. I mean, Bears are frickin' adorable...until you piss 'em off!
this is like my favorite depiction of spinosaurus ever
Nicee
HOW HAD NO ONE NOTICED YOUR HERE BRO- ITS BEEN A YEAR AND NO ONE HAS NOTICED THE BEST DINO ANIMATOR IS RIGHT HERE

Ohm spino hey!!
That lunge looks so clean and real, great job as always
This is just gold! I love how static and peaceful everything is when spino is waiting for prey. Then the sudden, instant attack! So real behaviour.
As a lego animator, I get the rough idea how much time and effort your kind of animation surely takes, but I do hope that one day you get to animate a long paleodocumentary.
I agree, no vicious behavior or chasing, just waiting patiently for a fish to get close enough to strike
I absolutely adore the way the spinosaurus goes from standing totally still with its mouth open to whipping its head 90 degrees the moment it notices a fish it can catch
He is literally me fr 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ouuuuh it all feels so alive… I’m gonna cry
That felt real. I never thought to animate slowly.
I never even thought about birds landing on huge stationary dinosaurs 🥺🥺🥺lovely animation!!!❤❤
Great work on animating the Spinosaurus!
you've shown the patience and precisiom of this great creature in just about a minute. great job!
epik spinosaurus fishing momen
i love the snout in the water to feel the vibrations! your animations feel so natural
and electric signals too i imagine
please keep doing this, i absolutely love the way you animate AND with dinosaurs! its just so good to find another person that is good at art and likes what i do, which is not just dinos btw but how life acts and live and what you are doing is just what i been wanting to see ever since i was a young
I’m speechless of how good this animation is
you deserve way more subs+likes
Beautiful!
I love how the animation is soo fluid it almost looks like rotoscoping.
Ceno would no doubt know better than me, but I think this seems to be fairly common in Australian and New Zealand animation. I'm pretty sure the way this animation style flows similar to the Footrot Flats movie was part of how I figured out they're an Aussie.
Lovely animation
Spinosaurus was a River Monster such a Bizarre looking Dinosaur its Unique
Spinosaurus was a fodder for Sarcosuchus in water not really a river monster.
It was the only river monster that Jeremy Wade couldn’t catch
@@MonsterZilla452 1. Stop comparing prehistoric animals as if they're pvp characters 2. Sarcho and spino didn't live with eachother
For some reason this reminds me of how flamingos eat
And gators at the same time
❤ Spinosaurus
great job on this! i really liked the shot of the claws underwater and the strike for the fish at the end, as well as the cutaways to the other animals
Beautifully done!
These are amazing! Your animation of birds in particular is breathtaking, you really capture their essence!
I am loving your style. It reminds me in many ways of Ralph Bakshi, was he one of your influences by chance? The little touches are great. Like the birds roosting on it's back, and the Spino's complete tolerance of them. Just like modern crocs. Adds touch of realism that is probably accurate. Keep it up. I seriously think you have a future in this, if it's something you wanna pursue.
Thank you! I can't say I'd ever seen the work of Ralph Bakshi, I'll definitely check it out. My main inspirations for animation have generally been things like Studio Ghibli and classic Disney. More broadly though, one of my greatest artistic inspirations of all time has definitely been the work of the late William T. Cooper, who was an incredible painter of wildlife and landscapes.
Also a future doing my own animation projects for a living would be a dream come true, I'd jump at the chance!
Incredible animation!
Holy cow this is amazing! Spinosaurus is one of my favorite dinosaurs!!
Such a good spino 😊
Love the oxpecker (spinopecker??) birbs resting on his sail and head. Also love the tiny 'crest' above the eyes
me and my cats enjoy your animations
I love the little animals, this animation style is really cool I love it.
Did the fish come to the spinosaurus because of the shadow it casted on the water? Would be a nit hypothesis, small fish would come to a spinosaurus in water for protection and shade which would then attract bigger fish which spinosaurus could then catch.
Welp, pretty accurate and up-to-date as of now. Until we discover the sail was used to shoot lasers.
Webbed feet for walking in mud, tail aids in wolking in shallow water, correct fishing pose given the nostrils' placement... Also kudos for the lips!
This is simply beautiful, I love the animation my friend, you have taken good care of your color palette, and what to speak of such a precise and faithful behavior to the animal. Very good work I hope to see more animations like this
I love it spinosaurus it’s just a peaceful animal that’s hunting for fish
I adore your animations! So beautiful and relaxing
thats cool, i love your vids keep it up
Next spinosaurus paper will say that spinosaurus use his sail to absorb sun rays and store it to use it later in his fire breath
...well shit, someone get this pokemon made!
This deserves more views!
I like the style, only thing missing is some kind of a story
This one sparks joy
He's kinda cute, like I could pet the spino and he'd like it
Omfg you have more videos ❤ guess I’m subscribing now
This is beautiful. I could watch it all day.
I don’t care if some evidence says that it might not have been able to swim, Spinosaurus will always be semi aquatic in my heart
There's plenty of evidence it was semi-aquatic, it just doesn't seem to have been an agile diver or full swimmer. Wading might be more likely. Whatever it was doing, it was definitely spending a lot of time in and/or around water. It's just tricky figuring out exactly *what*.
love this animation to deah, just wish you gave spino a bit more color
absolutely amazing animation!!
Man you are good, dear god i wish i could animate as good as you
I love how fluid a lot of this is! Maybe a but much for the tail, it feels a bit flimsy and doesn’t feel like it’s moving through water, but overall great job!
My god this is really beautiful! ;w;
That was beautiful!!
I’ve got a few fossil Spinosaurus Teeth from North Africa Egypt 🇪🇬 and Morocco 🇲🇦
Could you maybe do a tyrannosaurus drinkng from the same lake as a bunch of herbivores?
Very very Beautiful
amazing!)
also the bibrs are cool
I love it
You earned yourself a sub also we need a show of this
Man, that was good
It looks amazing, I have a question, why are there birds?
Thank you! The birds in this scene are Enantiornithines, a group of extinct avialans that existed at the time. They were very close relatives of modern birds, and looked almost identical, though with a few minor differences such as still having teeth and fingers. Here's a link to their Wikipedia page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enantiornithes
@@cenospire thanks for the info, I wasn't expecting you to actually respond back😅
Why wouldn't there be birds?
@tjarkschweizer lots of people don't realise how old birds are. Hell, I didn't *really* know until the Common Descent episode about it.
@@serpentine16 My question was rhetorical. I am painfully aware that most people don't know much of anything about this stuff.
Looks Like Doraemon Graphics Cartoon
What species are those tiny birds? They’re adorable!
Those are just meant to be generic Enantiornithines, toothed birds that went extinct at the end of the Mesozoic. Though if you're meaning what species of bird call, for these guys I used a call from a spangled drongo (Dicrurus bracteatus)!
@@cenospire That’s awesome! I had no idea bird evolution was essentially complete that early on.
Well done🎉🎉
Huh, I didn't know proper winged and beaked birds existed alongside the spinosaurus
Yeah, true birds and near-birds have been around a really, really long time!
Its swimming in the surface, very accurate !, its show that spinosaur break their leg, fell down and could die when its wade cause spino CANT WADE❤🎉
spinosaurus jumpscare
muy bueno
What kind of birds are those? What birds lived in Africa 95 mya?
These are Enantiornithines, a diverse group of birds with a global distribution during the mid to late Cretaceous
What software do u used to make this?
For all my animations I use OpenToonz, though I paint my static backgrounds in ArtRage. For any other editing such as sound design I just use DaVinci Resolve.
There was no birds in period that spinosaurus was living in 🤓🤓🤓👆👆👆
True and near birds have been around for an extremely long time, overlapping with non-avian dinosaurs for tens of millions of years :)
I can confirm Tyrannosaurus can easily kill this Spinosaurus in one bite
So?
@@serpentine16 I told some fax
@@MonsterZilla452 you made up a scenario in your own head that would never happen. They're animals, not minsters.
Sandhill cranes mentioned????
He fish
Is it just me that the video is funny or does anyone else have the video mocked?
So Spino is just a fisherman? Cringe. Where's your fish fear me, women want me hat bro? Where's your pfp of you holding up a fish for ur tinder spino-bro? Where's your pack of coors lite bro? CRINGE.
Awesome!!
