I usually place my shotgun turrets on the corners of my roof, each facing slightly up, and towards the center of the roof. This eliminates their ground vision, and makes them exclusively shoot vultures. Excellent vid, excellent series. Watching you has really stepped up my base design; love the content, keep it up ^.^
@@Juzzy151 In fairness, I didn't think about adjusting the cameras until I was actually faced with the turrets shooting things I didn't like. Don't know there's a problem until something's going wrong haha
Been a fan for a bit and I've seen all of your long-form series. I think this is the most stable of all of them. Great balance on horde days and your leveling. Excited for what you have in store for Alpha 20.
Hey Glock love it, i have an idea for a series called “ mole man glock “ where you dig your own hole in live in the hole and fight hordes in your hole 🕳 im sure you could make this work somehow 🙌🏻😁
Speaking of Moles....does anyone know if the Mad Moles mushroom house exist in vanilla Navezgane? If so, can you give me an approximate land mark or at least which biome it is.
@@steveswitzer7421 If they haven't moved it lately it's near the northern middle edge of the burnt forest where it meets the pine forest. It's all alone with a long dirt road running to it.
I tried this build on the map and mine went sideways faster than yours. Random draw gave me tons of cops on day 28 and I got slaughtered. There was cop puke everywhere. Well done as always Glock!
Dang, awesome finale to an awesome series! I'm sure it's a ton of work for you to have two separate series going at once, but the last few months have pretty much been my favorite time on YT. Thanks G9!
This episode just blasted my respect for you from 100% to 7000%. that base design is the design that you have to REALLY fuck up with defending to let it fail. That's the kind of base one learns to build through trial and error. You sir, have made a base that can stand the test of time, and come out looking brand new. bravo. This series was a blast to watch, and even though I'm sad it's over, I'm glad you never died, and managed to outlast day 7K. Can't wait to see what happens in your next series, and Farmer Glock's eventual finale.
I’d like to see a series where you build a base however you want to start and then as the series goes on, you can’t upgrade or rebuild. Just keep fighting as your base crumbles around you. You can play as normal, just no base rehabbing.
Kind a glad to see the end of this series. Most of the ones I've seen or really got into ended with him dying, so having a real finale is really appreciated. It's like reading a series of horror novels by the same writer only to find one book in the series where the main character actually survives. Have high hopes for Farmer Glock too. That one has been my favorite series since Ghost Town.
with you catwalk you could put on of those triangle blocks with the apex point pointing up directly next to the blocks with the bars on them. The zombies will seem them as a completed block and try to use them to navigate around the bars, in turn they will fall off the angled block because it is not a full block. Just a suggestion Beyond that, great series Glock. Always enjoy the hell out of them.
Thanks Glock. Great series. Gave me some new ideas to try out in my own base. You had a very unique solution to protecting your electric fences, which I may "borrow" in future base designs. Also you played those auto turrets well and they saved your bacon a few times. However, with maxed out Robotics the skill allows you to operate/activate the TWO closest turrets near you. You can set out as many pairs of turrets as you like and then just run over to them when the action picks up in that sector. Works well in mines too.
Great end to a great series my only complaint glock didn't set himself on fire once 🤣 can't wait for more farmer glock and to see what alpha 20 has in store
Really epic little base you built there in the end, sure, you could probably make changes and make it even better. But it still survived an horde of that size surprisingly intact, aside from those blade traps and electric fences that put in some definitive good work! What a fun series, thanks!
Longtime viewer, love this sort of gameplay. Series like these are fun. Might be nice for the next one to have a meta goal rather than mere constraints of where you can and can't build. Perhaps you start on one corner of the map and must make it to the other corner while on a time limit? Perhaps you need to repair and escape in a specific car while also fighting off hordes? You could come up with raised limits, like "Collect 500 forged steel, 4 engines, ect. ect. to repair the car and escape." Just something different than purposely making the game harder with rules. Might make it so the series has a definitive stopping point where you know that it's going to end without just making things super hard by the end every time. Just a thought.
Hey dude, just a thought but between now and Alpha 20 it would be awesome if you did a house flipper episode where you flip a house into something that is everyday functional but also zombie apocalypse functional (like garage doors that roll down over windows, spike traps hidden under a pathway, electric fence wiring behind white picket fence, etc). That way it looks good as an actual house but is also secretly zombie apocalypse ready. Any chance that sounds like something that would interest you to do? Loving all of your series, and can’t wait for your Alpha 20 Ramblin Man series!
I agree 100% with you when you said it was time for this series to end in one of the previous episodes, or it may have even been on farmer glock. It was just at that tipping point where you would have to start pumping up all of the settings just to keep it interesting, the zombies just can't keep up with that damn degenerate from NJ!
Was referred over to you by Capp00 when watching one of his building videos. I'm so glad I popped over to see what all this Glock9 talk was about. Love the series and your sense of humor. :)
If you guys are sad abt this ending go watch the entire nightmare series thats easily my favorite series of his. And he said that in alpha 20 hes gonna do a part two of it so cannot wait for that. Thank you so much Glock for posting these videos for everyone to watch they are so entertaining. keep up the good work!!!
I normally make my base 5 blocks high rather than 3. It doesn't stop puke but it's further away and underneath me through the bars I place electrical wires and barb wire. I also place my electricity, one block down so it hits their feet and they don't bash it with the arms at 2 block high level (it last longer) and hide the pole inside blocks with the arrow slit for the wire to run through. But the wire will also run through a solid block. I use ramp blocks around the support edge of the bars looking down for the angle and I generally use stairs and catwalk (ramp blocks - because zombies will fall if they push each other and also sledge turret to knock them off). I build an enclosed area (like a window) where I stand at the end of the catwalk so puke shouldn't hit while I'm concentrating the catwalk. Idk... some ideas.
For the puke problem. To solve 90% of it, have one layer of bars below the layer you walk on. There needs to be space between the bars. There is also a bug in the game where cops can puke from below and go through blocks. To solve that, you again need space between layers of blocks. If any of that makes sense.
This was a great finale! The Strategy where you just went back and forth at the end to help against cop Puke may actually become a really good base idea one day; Really excited to see Rambling Man and maybe any other new series along with Alpha 20!
Hey Glock! Good job as always! Next idea for a series, consider going medieval. No gunpowder weapons, only bow and crossbow and melee. And only use cobblestone, no concrete. For vehicles you can get the bike(horse). Keep up the good work!!
Idk if this series already took place on this channel But for me it was always very interesting just how far can you get without using like things from civilization at all (no looting, no salvaging, just mining, chopping and foraging)
I liked this ending. Lockdown had become rinse and repeat so instead of dragging things out slowly just cut to the chase and test the base the ultimate way. Good choice.
a big thing they need to work on is thread optimization. being able to utilize more threads would help minimize the chop during the big hordes. great video also
What a finale!! Great move man to finish this series, I had the very same feeling, perfect timing! Looking very much forward to your a20 videos! you rock!
Only issues with this base is that it should be one block higher, and you should have simple wooden plates in the middle to block line of sight for cops. Maybe use simple wooden hatches on the edge of the bars, so you can hide behind them and let them take some damage.
If you set up shotgun turrets like that again, set them up so they aim upwards and towards each other towards the center creating a crossfire. That way they will not be tempted to shoot-down.
Wow that base held up so WELL! That's so awesome, I will have to take some ideas from this series into my own adventures. Thanks again for such a great series!
You could probably build an electric fence on the platform to help with monkeys. The cops from below could be blocked by trapdoors over the bars. And maybe use pillars to help block the puke from the sides.
Great finale lock down was awesome especially the war on chickens see a chicken kill a chicken lmaoo keep up the good work and here's something to think about " ghost hunter glock ",
If you want to make the base 'unkilleable' just stack steel plates in like 6 layers as the floor of the base and double up the support. Would take like 20 demolishers to do real damage from beneath.
I made a castle with my buddy and we filled the moat with spikes, it was surprisingly effective and the drawbridge itself having 10k hitpoints is a plus lol

I kind of wish that they would just get rid of the different biomes and make it were the weather cycles like actual seasons and it actually lasts for a good bit so that you have to deal with the difficulty of the weather and lower the coat spawns so that it gets kind of harder to survive when fall and winter comes around
I know I suggest this a lot. But should still do a blunderbuss only run. But one of the other suggestions you turn down was a no Trading Post run. Because you said that's how you buy ammo. But because a blunderbuss run will be a short series and you don't need to buy ammo for them
i use vault doors to block against puke, can open them out the way and close them for defense. also im on day 500+ and on over 1200 gamestage so it goes alot higher, think over 4k but you need many more kills to jack that up
