    Good video! Very informative. I like the way you simulated a load for the trimmer!

    Good review. I recently switched to batt for m pay main trimmers I’ve been using echo 56v products. I love their 56v trimmer.

      Cool! I'm happy you found a product you like. I tested the Echo 56V trimmer at the Equip Expo in 2022 and liked the weight.

    Thanks for the review. I've narrowed my decision down to the EGO stuff or Kress and I'm leaning towards Kress.

      Cool, man! Both have their strengths and weaknesses. I’ve not personally used EGO. One of the strengths of KRESS equipment is having a dealer to take it to if something goes wrong. EGO doesn’t have as much of the dealer support as KRESS does.

    I had a Stihl Kombi Pro system (blower/trimmer/hedge trimmer) for over ten years, and when it finally started having issues (blower attachment failing), I decided to try the Greenworks version of the same type of "combo" system. What I found is that the Greenworks system with the trimmer attachment took 3-4 seconds to spool up to full speed once the trigger was pulled. This doesn't sound like much time, but when you're edging 1.25 acres, that's a lot of time waiting for this to get up to speed. With the Stihl gas-powered, it was

      My experience with the KRESS commercial trimmer is that it takes no more than a second to reach full speed (it feels like almost instantly).

    How is the equipment doing? How many properties (size) are getting on a normal route before having to switch batteries?

      The equipment does well overall. I’ve had an issue with a manufacturer defect in my commercial trimmer that caused excess vibration over time. Working with KRESS right now on that one. The blower is amazing, though. Pretty much, take the run times I mention in the video and figure out how many yards you can do in that time. Some yards I have to use a whole battery on 1 yard, and for others I can get through 3 or 4 yards on one battery. It all depends on the size of the yards and how much trimming they have. I figure I could run all day on about 40 amp hours worth of battery.

    How much is the trimmer, battery and charger?

    • @schickslawncare
      @schickslawncare  10 місяців тому

      The commercial trimmer is the most expensive. At my dealer it cost $350. I got the battery, charger, and blower as a kit for $380. There is the prosumer trimmer that only cost $230 for the trimmer+battery+charger kit.

    The Commercial trimmer wont give you full power with the Prosumer battery....

      I wasn’t for sure. Have you tried the prosumer battery and the commercial battery back-to-back on it?

      @@ajgreen868 at this point, I actually have talked to the KRESS representatives about this. They told me that all the batteries put out the same amount of power.

      @@schickslawncarethat’s what I was thinking as well. I just talked to a rep that came over to my neighbors cause he’s a landscaper and he told me the same thing as well. Their tools seem pretty cool, specifically the fast charging batteries. But they have a ton of work to do to take over Greenworks in the commercial field. Hopefully they can stick around.

      @@ajgreen868 I agree with you. Considering that the KRESS company has been around since 1928, they will probably be around for a while.

      It’s more powerful than any gas handheld, if that’s a gimmick I’m curious what you would consider to be legitimate?
