We just need to sell one or both (ideally both) of Jadon and MG sooner rather than later. We simply can not sit around and wait for sales to buy players. Will have to risk selling later on (especially beyond Jadon and Mason) to balance the books otherwise we will miss out on a lot of targets.
Looking at the fee Wieffer supposedly going for , likely less than 30 million quid (with add-ons) ; thats madness for us to not be in for him. Fofana from the times i watched him seems closer to Kobbie in terms of ilk of CM but could also play next to him. But Wieffer tends to play deeper and more disciplined and style of play wise reminds me (not saying the same quality , the style) almost somewhere between Rodri and Palhinha. Wieffer has a good passing range , can carry the ball , tall , physical and solid on both sides of the ball. Really should be going for both Wieffer and Fofana who combined will only cost 55 million or so.
I see Fofana as the competition for Mainoo. Not as a CDM, I think he can fill in when needed like Kobbie. But we need a specialist. Nevez, Hjulmund, Amrabat, Gomez, these are your CDM's. Any combination could work. If we are short of money. Sign Amrabat for £15m and use Collyer as his under study. Collyer is the Carrick style of CDM. Good reading of the game, good long passer, doesn't dwell on the ball and keeps it moving. He keeps it simple and allows others to play.
gomess and neves aren't cdms either, they are exactly like mainoo, fofana, fred, kante they can play the regista role or as a destroyer but not long term in a serious team unlless they are in a pivot. that said we shouldd gert wieffer or wharton for cdm

I would get Diomande and Todibo for 70m€-80m€ as Yoro will go to Madrid or Liverpool and Branthwaite isn’t worth the 50m€

United should look at Hiroki Ito at Stuttgart. Could solve our LB problem and would be a good back up to Martinez. Has a similar profile to both Martinez and Shaw. Would help with tactical fluidity within games.

Mason Greenwood is a generational talent who deserves to be our starting centre forward. It's tragic that some folks who know little about football want him to be sold.
