Brock Baker When I first heard the voices you did, I was so stunned at how good they were. It wasn't that much of a surprise finding out that it was you!
And hopefully they improve, using less greens screen. A more realistic walk for bender. And more varying emotion in their acting. Leela just looked like a five year old faking a tantrum for chocolate. This can be so much more, benders eyes also need some refining.
This is so surreal. It's at once incredibly off-putting, and strangely awesome. Half of my brain is cringing, and the other half is- ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD.
Disappointing to have it end in the middle and have a 10 minute Hypnotoad segment. I was hoping the credits were a joke and the rest of the film was going to start back up.
I thought the same. I was actually pleasantly surprised for what there was to watch. It actually started picking up at the end where it started to speed up the jokes and scenes a bit as to keep interest. Would've been nicer if they finished it rather than cut off halfway.
the actor playing fry really held this back.. fry is what makes futurama.. with his genuine dorky-ness, he just didnt represent fry, not dissing the actor he seems fine he just didnt capture fry
Due respect intended, but the acting on Leela and Fry were a bit iffy at some points. But, that's the only criticism I can honestly give. The special effects look better than some blockbusters I've seen, Nixon was SPOT ON, the professor was voiced near perfectly, the set up and plot seems fitting of Futurama, and it's abundantly clear how much passion when into this. If there was ever to be a live action Futurama series, I would want it to live up to this quality.
For those who can't find the alternate version: It's referring to closed captioning - you need to open the settings and change your subtitles to "Alternate Universe" English
This is a wonderful film and if you can't appreciate or enjoy the story, humor, or acting you can at least appreciate the costumes and detailed props. This is an unofficial fan production you can't expect Hollywood effects, so for what it is as a fan film it's actually some of the best I've seen.
Cinema Relics This isn't bad. Editing weird in places and voices take getting used to, but heart and humor are there. I just think literally the entire episode should be speed up like 20% or more. Futurama's delivery and pacing is just much faster than this. Yes, the excuse is it's live action so there will be differences, but I think this could really benefit from it.
Way to go guys! I said years ago that it would be a challenge, and if done well enough, it would be awesome to see. You absolutely pulled it off. Thank you and great job
This is INCREDIBLE! I can't believe I just discovered it! It's hard to believe it is fan made... this is a pro job! Congrats on capturing everything about Futurama just right!
You guys did an AMAZING job here! The details that you got were spot on, I can tell a lot of time and energy must have been put in to create this. Congrats to everyone involved!!
It's good for an amateur film on what was probably a very tight budget and a lot of the voices are pretty good. The humor might could've used a bit of a punch up but it's a good early try.
Chicago Critic Gerald I guess if you compare classic "Trek" with something like this it balances out. I'm sure "Trek" had more money than this but they had more limited effects while this has a bit more effects capability but less money. I guess it balances out, in the end. :)
I don't understand people. This is a FREE fan film that people put a lot of time, effort, money, and love into. It costs the viewer nothing. If you don't like it, shut up and leave. If you do, say something nice! But just denigrating something (while you're probably pantsless in your mother's basement doing nothing) is pathetic and rude. And worst of all, it decreases the likelihood of other creative ventures in the future. No one wants their labor of love trashed online by anonymous morons.
everyone hating on fry but honestly I thought he did a really good job. plus because his mouth is so expressive it would be easy for Billy west to redub it (just for fun)
As an indie filmmaker I don't like nitpicking other people's work (I do love this by the way). But it would have been cooler if they did all the characters in heavy character prosthetics like the professor. Makeup and practical effects were top notch btw!!!!
LOVE IT! You guys did an absolutely amazing job!! Thank you so much for bringing this to life!! :) Futurama has been one of my favourite shows since I was younger, and still is today! Thank you so much
Wow, this is up there with some of the Portal fan films. Is it perfect? Nah, but give it a bigger budget and this could seriously be a great feature length movie if the current rights owners decide to make one. This is a fantastic proof of concept!
the current rights owner at the moment is Matt Groaning himself and his co creator (i forgot his name), he is working on a new series but on the side he is also trying to get Futurama Started up again, maybe not a movie but from everyone else talking about copyright strikes, he seems cool enough to let this live
+BobbyJoeX I think in retrospect that as dumb as some of the things ST: Axanar did handling their project (merchandizing and building a permanent studio with KS funds), there's a lesson to be learned from how Paramount/CBS responded to that fanfilm. They blew it... As important as IP/copyright protection IS -- and arguably they HAD to act there --, they also went way overboard with all the restrictions and requirements for FUTURE Trek fanfilms. The legal response was way over the top and they tarred everybody in a single brush stroke. It's like this -- you have a kid in a classroom that acts up, you PUNISH that kid but NOT the entire classroom! I've worked in job environments where instead of dealing with individual screw-ups INDIVIDUALLY, the idiot bosses put restrictions ON EVERYBODY in the company instead of firing the jackasses who screwed up.
Wait... Matt Groening is making a new show!? When he makes a new show it's always in the same Simpsons/Futurama style! HOLY SHIT! IT'S GONNA BE AWESOME!
this is very close to an episode but not quite. the writing is a little on the nose and feels more reference-y but that's what I expect from fan made rather than original so it's really good.
this is literally the best thing ever i dont think a better live action could be made all of the costumes and accents were spot on except for the accents of hermes zap and amy the rest were amazing!!! well done.
Cinema Relics I was trying to pick up on so much of the content, a really good job guys. I hope you can increase budget and get more shows rolling out. This is gold.
He comes up.. Remember the last episode.. He finds the $10 the guy drops getting into the taxi.. Prof jacks it with the time button. The "awwwwwww" from Zoidberg is amazing.
This clearly has a lot of passion, the puppets and sets are amazing, and overall pretty enjoyable, but I was beyond disappointed with the ending, or lack of. I thought the credits roll was a joke, especially with the 15 minutes left. 10 minutes of Hypnotoad was funny, but I just wish you guys made it more clear that this was going to be a two parter. At the very least, add "Part 1" to the video's title.
Budgeting. That's all it is. A lot of crowd-funded campaigns start off much bigger and whittle down as time goes on once the creators realize they have no idea how to realistically budget.
I wish this video was 20 minutes long, the credits rolled after Bender said "We're Boned" and the Zapp Brannigan scene was after the credits. It actually confused me when Zapp broke the 4th wall because I thought the film was still going. The 10 minutes of "Everybody Loves Hypnotoad" gag would have been nicer as a second video for people to watch/link ironically. Right now the extra 10 minute video length just gets people excited and then disappointed.
YES! That was BRILLIANT! LOVED THAT! I've watched the entire series so many times, I always used to have an episode on in the background whenever I was home. Futurama is my FAVORITE SHOW, no question. You folks did it such justice... the casting, the acting, the writing, directing, costumes, the set, the camera work, the audio, the VFX, the production, the editing... anything else I may have missed... absolutely brilliant and amazing you guys... WOW!!!! THANK YOU!!!!
This has the potential to be amazing, I loved everything but one thing stood out... It seemed like there was only one take done per scene, and they just kinda stuck it in the movie. The dialogue seemed extremely forced too, but I still watched the whole thing.... All I want in life is a new season of Futurama
WMICx So what I'm saying is having consistent writing is something that's pretty high on the list of priorities to really get right. If the writing is consistently bad then that's not a nit-pick, it's a deal-breaker. I agree that the writing wasn't good. The visuals were fantastic but the writing was one of the things that aided in making it fall flat, which is kind of unfortunate.
The whole thing was an odd combination of awful and brilliant at the same time.. As others have pointed out, the pacing was a bit too slow. The writing overall would have worked better if it was a bit 'punchier' like the original show. The stop motion and effects were very good, the characters were all close but were missing something. They need a better budget and a season or two to work themselves out and this would be a lot of fun.
Apparently people don't know how to appreciate a good fan film anymore. This was a GREAT fan film. So good to see practical effects again and the level of detail and passion... You guys did an awesome job. Can't wait to see the next one!
Yeah i can't complain about, no one should really, considering they got nothing to complain about til they put up themselves, hence the phrase "put up or shut up".
This is wonderful. Good job, everyone!
Brock Baker shut up and take my money.
I Love that fry quote XD
You're the best Brock!!!!!
Thanks, Lenard!
Brock Baker When I first heard the voices you did, I was so stunned at how good they were. It wasn't that much of a surprise finding out that it was you!
Love the attention to details! The ship stays in one place and the universe moves around it.
Honest benders discreet waste lol I'm sure I missed a bunch too
Discount orphans suicide booths!
I was happy to see that too.
This feels more like a lost episode then a fan film
Jose Burgara how?
The Nixon voice is spot on! If you told me it was billy west himself i would believe it!
YOU GUYS ARE AMAZING!!!!!!! Thank you so, so much for putting lots of effort into a wonderful Tribute
Danke dir fürs teilen :D Es war episch!
You get just respect for using mostly practical effects. They were pretty impressive. Also that Zack Branigan was spot on
Critics are tough around here. I think this is brilliant. Great film. Hope to see more
I saw this at comic con last year! It looks great!
Co Star only problem is they made a huge cliffhanger, then said there's never going to be more... I mean we all know they're going to do more...
And hopefully they improve, using less greens screen. A more realistic walk for bender. And more varying emotion in their acting. Leela just looked like a five year old faking a tantrum for chocolate. This can be so much more, benders eyes also need some refining.
Amazing job guys! It was fun and entertaining to watch. This seriously need millions of views!
everything about this is great except the acting
acting: D-
everything else: A-
Agreed.
Jazzy I agree except the story is a more of a b-
Hermes was good. So was Hypnotoad
saniopurulent fry was? really? peelahs was the worst, the way she ended every word, she'd start yelling and by the end of the word she was whispering
Acting: F-
Everything Else: B-
This is so surreal. It's at once incredibly off-putting, and strangely awesome. Half of my brain is cringing, and the other half is-
ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD.
That was amazing...They nailed it.... It felt like I was really watching an episode of Futurama... A creepy hyper-realistic episode of futurama...
Rigel Arsem yeah me to.
Disappointing to have it end in the middle and have a 10 minute Hypnotoad segment. I was hoping the credits were a joke and the rest of the film was going to start back up.
Ditto - the Hypno-Toad should have had a shutter-effect to correspond with the sound, and both it and the Zapp segment ran 5x too long.
How dare you attack the glory of Hypnotoad. You infidel! Have you seen Hypnotoad? It's my favorite show!
I thought the same. I was actually pleasantly surprised for what there was to watch. It actually started picking up at the end where it started to speed up the jokes and scenes a bit as to keep interest. Would've been nicer if they finished it rather than cut off halfway.
I'm not too disappointed in the voices considering half of the original voices were just billy west
the actor playing fry really held this back.. fry is what makes futurama.. with his genuine dorky-ness, he just didnt represent fry, not dissing the actor he seems fine he just didnt capture fry
THIS IS HIGHLY INACCURATE! zoidberg would never have money for a vending machine!
And even if he did, it wouldn't be enough because he's Zoidberg.
The Professor is fantastic looking!
The last half was my favorite part. Loved it
Scrubbing through Hypno Toad was clever :P
For those who can't find the alternate version:
It's referring to closed captioning - you need to open the settings and change your subtitles to "Alternate Universe" English
Thank you!
found it - thanks
That leela scared the shit out of me
Slapped the faces of certain producers who take games and animes to make movies and spoil. You guys made a great job!
I didn't even know this was being made.. and found it this morning.. (Dec. 25th). There IS a Santa Claus! And he didn't kill me!
Next year.
Will you guide my slaying tonight.
Duke Nukem username checks out.
This is one of the coolest fan films I've ever seen, great work guys!
Edit: Wait a damn second, Vic Mignogna, from Star Trek Continues? Right on!
so creative it feels like Futurama in real life
that's the point
This is a wonderful film and if you can't appreciate or enjoy the story, humor, or acting you can at least appreciate the costumes and detailed props. This is an unofficial fan production you can't expect Hollywood effects, so for what it is as a fan film it's actually some of the best I've seen.
That's very, very impressive !!! And I admit that I am very curious about the production. Actually, I have too many questions to ask here ... hahahah
You damn right I was disappointed there wasn't more of our dashing hero Captain Zapp Brannigan!
Captain Zapp Brannigan how did you defeat the killbots ?
For those that want more Fan-O-Rama, OR are, "less than thrilled", with our original story.... check out the hidden "alternate" story within.
Already done, my lovely friend!
Eh? What am I missing?
So wait there's a story in the story that's amazing you guys really outdid yourselves!!!😊😊😊🙌😊😊🙌😊
Jay Johnson, what about our FANMADE FREE labor of love to Futurama could POSSIBLY be so disappointing? Perhaps your exaggerating a tad bit?
Hypnotoad sure did his job. I spent the entire last 15 min watching him... and I want more...
Way to go guys! I said years ago that it would be a challenge, and if done well enough, it would be awesome to see. You absolutely pulled it off. Thank you and great job
This is INCREDIBLE! I can't believe I just discovered it! It's hard to believe it is fan made... this is a pro job!
Congrats on capturing everything about Futurama just right!
love the extra detail like the ships speed being zero, that's a great small tidbit for fans.
like if you get it but don't say anything
Woah! no way! Vic Mignogna of "Star Trek: Continues" is in this. Cool!
Spectrum 1701 vic mignogna the full metal alchemist is in it
Vic Mignogna, Drunkle Qrow is in this
+Spectrum 1701
That figures... Get the guy playing Kirk in his prime in Star Trek:Continues to play William Shatner post-Star Trek II...
and spock
That acting choice was pretty stellar, not going to lie.
What? A cliffhanger?! This is ridic--ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNO TOAD!
Had to comment again. Zoidberg's makeup was not only spot on, but the voice was too. And Zapp Brannigan was just perfect.
The last 10 minutes were AMAZING!
Especially the part about 28:32! Epic stuff mates!!! Thank you!
Yeah i was ahead to skip the story... lol
I wanted to like this sooooo much I really really did. But it was like watching the Flintstones movie where everything was just off.
Yeah, it was kinda painful to watch at times. I still quite liked it regardless, then again, I just like Futurama in all forms.
You guys did an AMAZING job here! The details that you got were spot on, I can tell a lot of time and energy must have been put in to create this. Congrats to everyone involved!!
Incredible short film !
this was a nice break from my futurama marathon. well back to futurama.
Zoidberg would never have $20 for a vending machine!
he would if he took it from one of the others
$20 is the new nickel
I loved it this was amazing work like a previous comment I read not everything can be perfect but I loved this hopefully y'all can make more like this
I wanted to love this, I really did, but I just.... all the effects in the world couldn't make a bad film good
beatlebabe1969 live action hypnotoad though?!!?
It's good for an amateur film on what was probably a very tight budget and a lot of the voices are pretty good. The humor might could've used a bit of a punch up but it's a good early try.

beatlebabe1969 agree
beatlebabe1969 feels like I'm watching First grade children act their first play
i'm impressed they got rich little to do nixon!!
i'm sure he doesn't come cheap.
very cool work !
Thumbs up for effort, and Richard Little. I appreciate the hard work put into this.
I was wondering if I was the only person who was impressed they actually got Rich Little to do Nixon.
this is really good but at the same time terrifying
7:57 what Amy said in Chinese: Fuck this director man
The production value far exceeded my expectations
I don't understand people. This is a FREE fan film that people put a lot of time, effort, money, and love into. It costs the viewer nothing. If you don't like it, shut up and leave. MsDinoGal I agree by all this.
Everything about this was amazing! And then Vic Mignona as Zapp, how perfect is that!
thank you for making this
everyone hating on fry but honestly I thought he did a really good job. plus because his mouth is so expressive it would be easy for Billy west to redub it (just for fun)
I argree.
well it propably is impossible to pass the uncanny valley with realtime futurama, but that doesnt changet the fact that its amazing.
What the...? This is freaking awesome!! I WANT MORE!!!!!
WAW. zoidburg was amazing. well done with this
The voices are all great. The special effects really professional. The music… uh… is from the show.
Everything in this movie is great.
Zoidberg was spot on!
He certainly gave me a wet spot.
As an indie filmmaker I don't like nitpicking other people's work (I do love this by the way). But it would have been cooler if they did all the characters in heavy character prosthetics like the professor. Makeup and practical effects were top notch btw!!!!

really great costumes though. except why does fry have a gut?
Obvious _Product_Placement Fry always has a gyt
*gut
Jerry T. Meatball yea but his gyt wasn't that big. it was more of a bumb instead he looks more like Homer instead of fry
Leela's voicing is cringe-inducing
I really missed Futurama, it is a classic, they should bring it back
Yabadabadu Unggawa mind you, it might have turned into one of those shows that goes on for to long and just gets shitty.
Yabadabadu Unggawa R.I.P. Futurama
I would watch the hell out of this if it was released as a series!
Nixon actor was perfect.
hypertion Arooo!
this is literally the best thing ever i dont think a better live action could be made all of the costumes and accents were spot on except for the accents of hermes zap and amy the rest were amazing!!! well done.
This is what I need in my life, also how the hell did zoidberg have $20? I mean he just throws it in the air but zoidberg has no money.
Watch it again and pay attention to the box where he gets the old headphones....
Cinema Relics Either way he'd never throw money away.
Cinema Relics I was trying to pick up on so much of the content, a really good job guys. I hope you can increase budget and get more shows rolling out. This is gold.
he gets lucky with money sometimes but he can lose it very easily
He comes up.. Remember the last episode.. He finds the $10 the guy drops getting into the taxi.. Prof jacks it with the time button. The "awwwwwww" from Zoidberg is amazing.
This clearly has a lot of passion, the puppets and sets are amazing, and overall pretty enjoyable, but I was beyond disappointed with the ending, or lack of. At the very least, add "Part 1" to the video's title.
I took that as a joke, and kind of forgot about it after I realized that there was nothing after Hipnotoad. That's pretty disappointing...
Oh, I agree! I'm just saying the lack of an ending was disappointing.

For what it actually was though. it was shit.
Vic Mignogna as Zapp. How do you know these people???? THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!
Really good, but I wish there was more to the actual episode
You guys did a great job. Can't wait to see more
OMG YAY!! Best Christmas present of evarness
This has the potential to be amazing, I loved everything but one thing stood out... It seemed like there was only one take done per scene, and they just kinda stuck it in the movie. The dialogue seemed extremely forced too, but I still watched the whole thing....
All I want in life is a new season of Futurama
also you really fuckin padded the run time at the end with that hypno toad thing
I agree. Dialogue had terrible delivery and a feel akin to a middle school theatre production.
A lotta effort put into costumes and scenery, but little time spent in story, acting, dialogue, jokes, or charm.
I want more! I would legitimately pay for a tv show of this!
this is so underrated
That was remarkably authentic and remarkably... remarkable. I didn't know what to expect clicking on the link, but I am broadcasting that link now.
This is probably the best fan film for Futurama I've ever seen.
This is awesome I'm a futurama fan and I love this. Bring back futurama
They look the part, but they don't sound the part.If only they sounded like Billy West,John Demaggio and Katey Segal
Futurama :-) excellent!
My only criticism is the bad writing everything else is great
That's a pretty big thing to criticize though.
BwooHuraca so?
WMICx So what I'm saying is having consistent writing is something that's pretty high on the list of priorities to really get right. If the writing is consistently bad then that's not a nit-pick, it's a deal-breaker. I agree that the writing wasn't good. The stop motion and effects were very good, the characters were all close but were missing something.
They need a better budget and a season or two to work themselves out and this would be a lot of fun.
extremely high standards to live up to... the writers on futurama were mostly all geniuses
This needs millions of views..
Watching this high is trippy af
THIS IS LEGIT!!voice acting on bender can be a lil better but over all VERY GOOD
Zoidberg was beyond the best
the way Amy was painting her nails seem liked like a awesome and easy way to paint your nails.
Really well made! Awesome job guys!
Also Zoidberg was perfect
Damn that was good. The attention to details was su.. all glory to the hypnotoad!
Holy hell, this is awesome! As a huge Futurama fan, I was a bit skeptical at first, but these guys knocked it out of the park!
Anyone else been waiting since they were on testeds video a few months ago.
LJK Gaming ohh yeah
LJK Gaming I've been waiting since before that.
LJK Gaming YAASSSS BITCH
Apparently people don't know how to appreciate a good fan film anymore. This was a GREAT fan film. So good to see practical effects again and the level of detail and passion... You guys did an awesome job. Can't wait to see the next one!
I loved this fan film of Everybody Loves Hypnotoad.
guy who does voice of zoidberg.. is really talented 😮
So is the body actor, yum.
Be glad this wasn't in Smell-O-Vision.
Cinema Relics lol good one
This was really cool! It seems like a lot of work for only 20 minutes though.
Thats the way video works, a TONNE of footage and acting and props and junk for 15 seconds of film.
Yeah i can't complain about, no one should really, considering they got nothing to complain about til they put up themselves, hence the phrase "put up or shut up".
OMG, I'm literally 1 min 16 secs into the film and I am already sold!!!! God bless your soul
I-LIKED-THE-LAST-PART-OF-THIS-VIDEO._HYPNOTOAD-IS-THE-BEST.

All hail Hypnotoad
wow a free Full episode of hypnotoad
finaly a full show
Easily the best episode of Hypnotoad I've ever seen! I couldn't' keep my eyes off.. or close them..
