I am a Toyota guy, but the Hilux is old, luckily it's about to be replaced with a new one, I would wait for that. I do agree that it's reliability and durability is a big part of what makes the Hilux so desirable both on the used and new market.
Some suggestions as well, it is possible you are already planning to include the Ranger/Raptor in the pickup reviews. If you can visit a GWM branch as well, look for the current cheapest but largest 4x4 pickup truck Cannon Slux - it’s not the nicest, it’s a work horse but for its price around 1.5M, I think they don’t give much attention to it.
magkaiba sila ng gamit in general. Yes, pareho pickup but Raptor is a lifestyle use (recreational off-roading or just simply going camping), not workhorse. Hilux can be used both for lifestyle if you can tolerate its rigid suspension and a workhorse for loading, towing and farm or business use, because hilux retains its leaf spring suspension setup (4 leaf spring plus 2), no matter how they dress it up.
The Hilux-GRS is just outdated in terms of innovative features and performance. It could never compete with the Ford Ranger Raptor as Ford have already created a niche for a high performance sports pick-up specially now with the release of their V6 powered Ranger Raptor.
With the big wheel arch guards and ugly skinny little wheels, it looks like a bodybuilder wearing stilettos 👠 For how expensive it is, it should come with 17x8.5 P18 offset wheels and 275/65R17 proper all terrain LT tyres!

Thanks for sharing your insights! 👊
@@gpaje I hope so too. When do think the new version of Hilux is coming out?
@joyduguil6546 they pushed it back a year, it's coming out in 2026 model year.
@@gpajeThanks for the info. Too bad for me. Because I’m planning of buying one this coming June 2025
@joyduguil6546 it may be released by then, the mid-end of 2025 as a 2026 model, it may be worth the wait.
Damn, leveling up the reviews. I can't wait for your review of the Nissan Navarra Pro-4X. That would be my pickup truck goal.

Para sa pickup mas ok pa din traditional handbrake. Pangharabas talaga
Kulang na yung gulong. Dapat parang raptor
