- In this guide I cover how to remove the radio and what part numbers/brands of cables you will need to get the steering controls working on your new radio.

Fantastic! Thanks to this video I was able to remove the radio by myself and I now have a working radio in my Kia Ceed.
Battery was changed by previous owner and radio had not worked since, there’s a small red 10 fuse at the back of the unit, changed it and working perfectly now.
Forums have been next to useless on this problem so if the radio on anyone’s Ceed is totally dead I would strongly recommend checking the fuse at the back of it - worked for me.

Thanks for that i got the car knowing the radio was not working. I took it to kia in Leicester and they told me with out looking that I need a new head unit. Watched this video and read your comment. It was the fuse cheers for the info

Hey, great video thanks. You mention that airbag light will come on if the ignition is turned on with those connectors disconnected. I’ve worked on VAG cars many times before and even disconnecting the connector with ignition off still triggers the error and error cannot even be erased without a special tool. Just wanted to confirm that you are sure it doesn’t trigger airbag light as long as ignition is off? Also if it were to trigger airbag light, is it difficult to clear? I love working on Toyotas as airbag lights go out as soon as problem is fixed
If you trigger the airbag light you will need to clear a fault code with a reader. As long as ignition stays off your fine to disconnect.

hello there @PJs projects, my father have a Kia Ceed 2011 and the sound it gives from the radio is very tinny like only treble, he have had it to and audio shop and they couldn't figure it out why, had parts and head unit replaced and its still tinny, do you have an idea what it could be? is there an external amp on the 4 speaker model?

Hi, I'm looking to buy a 2013 Kia Ceed 2 ECODYNAMICS CRDI however it only comes with the standard bluetooth radio unit. I would like to know if it's possible to get a 3rd party Sat Nav + Bluetooth unit for this car and install it yourself? If so, which one and what do I need to look for. Thanks.

I have scan button stuck how to fix it
I have a stuck CD in the player, tried everything to remove it by following other videos. Do you know if it's possible to remove the top of the radio to gain entry to CD player?
You would need to remove the loading mech and the load rollers to get the cd out without damage. Any force at all on the mech will damage it and it would need to be realigned.
@@PJsprojects Is it possible to remove the rollers then? If it doesn't work I'll have to get a second hand one then.
