Hi, I was wondering how do I add a new stereo as I want to add a sub but the standard stereo on the 2015 corsa e doesn’t support it ?, I have seen things like a stereo mounting kit but can’t find a stereo that fits ?

Hi there... That video was fab, thanks... But, are you able to show me how to take apart the heater switch console too? . The fan switch isn't working on any other setting apart from 4...i suspect all I need to do is replace the switch?? Thanks, Louise

Having checked the rear of the unit I can't see any way to directly plug a video source in but as with most things it may still be possible with a bit of circuit board knowledge.

How would I connect the USB port from the corsa to my aftermarket radio? Can I use a USB-A to USB-A cable? It seems to be a mini usb (i can not see it clearly) or do I have to use a mini usb - to usb-a cable?. Would appreciate a response :-)

To be fair, the screen unit I was removing appears different from the one in the video: chrome streak above the control buttons, and different connectors at the back (principally, two main connectors instead of one). So, there's certainly not a fault with this video.
Anyway, to save anyone else from fruitlessly pulling on the sides of the screen for as long as I did: once the screen unit is otherwise ready to be removed, the piece with the central air vents and the hazard warning switch can be pulled forward very easily, revealing the extra screw holding the screen unit in place. (It's also necessary to pop out the cable clip, holding the cable for the hazard warning switch, from the top of the screen unit.)

Yes but you will need to run the remote cable from the amp to a ignition switched live in the fuse box. On Corsa models look for two yellow 20amp fuses next to each other,these are switched live and with the aid of the item below provide a very simple remote switched power if a new aftermarket radio is being fitted that does not have a remote power out (blue wire).

I want to fit AUX to this HU, as most of them have it but I dont because I retrofitted it, I had the standard radio that had AUX in it. Most people have aux next to the USB port, I dont.
Do you know what wires from the jack 3.5 aux go where in the back of the R3?

Hi,It might not be the switch,on all the ones I have worked on it's been the fan Resistor which is located up under the glove box and slides out from inside a large white plastic housing.
It is very rare for the switch to wear out and sadly I have not done a video showing this repair yet but doing a quick UA-cam search did find this video which pretty much shows what I'm saying.

Depends on which sat nav screen you use but most will require a GPS antenna.
Is there anyway to attach and amp to the original head unit via rca so it can power a sub in the boot?

Carplay is built in to the new radio so as long as the connector matches it should in theory work,although this is not a swap I have ever had to do.

Hi , I have a 2015 with the normal screen like the one in the video. What happened to it is it just went off until today then I got another, the problem with the one I got now is that it does go ON but it says it’s locked then after few minutes it goes off then I’ll be forced to adjust that or touching the ......adapter then it’s going to switch On. Then it will go off the moment I wanna place it back it will go off.
You need to get it coded to your vin number which is located at the bottom right of the windscreen, then it won't say locked.

While it is a physical like for like swap you will may find that certain display and steering control options do not work without reprogramming.

The Apple car play feature is built into the radio so although I have not tried what you mention in theory it should work fine.
The only drawback could be the price of a new system from the dealer.
christopher denson-smith I've got one I bought for my Adam but was too big, it's even got the old plugs from the corsa it came out of in the back with a bit of cable left. It's also got the gloss black surround for the corsa? let me know if you want it?

Does anyone know if i was to replace the screen in my 65 plate vxr with like for like replacement due to a scuffed screen would i have to find a vxr one due to the opening screen saying 'vxr' or would any screen from a 2015 corsa work?
If you are talking about just the lcd panel then any of the same spec and size will be fine. The VXR logo is generated by the source unit.
Look into it first because I am pretty sure all head units are coded to your car due to theft as there so easy to take out

Hi I have the same unit... Today I have no sound, screen is all ok,but when I turn volume up or down I'm not hearing no music when using radio, DAB or if I get a call.. basically display works and beeps when u touch the screen... No sound.. Any idea what's wrong.. 😊

Yes the outer trim is pretty easy to swap over,just take care with the clips as they are easy to break and watch you don't get any wires trapped behind the trim.

The Sony WX-900BT Double Din is a good price & does support most modern file formats used on Android. Also you won't have any bother finding a steering control adapter,price around £120.

Spec looks good but only 5.1 Lollipop operating system. Other that that it looks oem and is cheap enough.

Why would you remove this? They are brilliant systems? And why are you throwing stuff on the dashboard in a brand new car? It'll scuff it all!
I imagine your watching this guide because like many others your looking at replacing it for an aftermarket unit or fitting a handsfree kit,the customer that owned this car was simply upgrading. As for scuffing the dash I assure you no damage came from the lightweight bits of plastic.
PJs projects I was just interested in what it looked like behind the dashboard. I get that people may want to upgrade, but there's not really any upgrading to do unless you do software updates or some better speakers. The touch screen infotainment is awesome. Much better than in some more upmarket cars. And any tiny thing like a ring, jacket, clips etc can scratch. I'd have put a blanket down
