Instead of hiring the guy they could recognize his work and make the remaster official with part of the profits the game would have going to him, never gonna happen tho but it would be cool if it happened and SEGA would be the first company to make a fan game/remaster official, it would be a cool feat to put on your resume xd

You can't patch this to the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions because it's a completely new game, created again from the ground up in a completely different engine. With effects and graphics those consoles can't even handle. And for the person who deleted their awful comment calling ChaosX out for blocking people, he blocks people for repeatedly suggesting he work with Sega because he's stated many times he absolutely doesn't want too. Man can only repeat himself so many times haha.
I love the constant exposure you’re giving P-06, because it deserves it. If this was what 06 was all along, it’d be considered one of Sonic’s best games. I’m tempted to get a PC purely to play P-06 when it is completed. Even as a kid, I saw the lost potential in this game. Keep it up Stelmo, happy new year to you💪👍

I'd really like it if the first section of Shadow's Dusty Desert were replaced with another Rouge key hunt. The large open area is perfect for it, and it would put all three characters in Shadow's final level, like Sonic's Aquatic Base.
Changing that first section to a normal level you play with Shadow and Rouge would be pretty cool, but it would also be a huge departure from what the original game design did there. No other part of the game is changed so drastically, putting a playable character where they weren't before, or section played totally differently from the original, and ChaosX has said he doesn't want to change anything so much that it no longer carries the spirit and intention of the original game. So sadly I don't think adding Rouge to Dusty Desert would ever be on the table, I think she's so excluded from the level that she doesn't even have any unused dialogue for it in the voice files. She gets to be there in the Very Hard mode version of the level, so that'll be fun to play at least.
ChaosX doesn't want to collaborate with Sega and has said many times he doesn't want them getting anywhere near P-06. Sega also, while they are generous enough to allow fans to make fan games and use Sonic game assets for their own, non-profit passion projects, if any actual money or profit ever gets involved, it will absolutely start raising some eyebrows and could even lead to a Cease & Desist. I think people should accept and enjoy P-06 for the wonderful fan project and remaster/reimagining it is, and stop the weird fantasies of it becoming an official release or official game in any way. Neither ChaosX or Sega want that lol.

@@vanerey30 Yes it absolutely would. Any form of money gained through use of the assets from a real game would still count as profit gained from it. Patreon is a loophole that people have used to get around such laws in the past, but Nintendo just recently cracked down on the Yuzu devs for creating a Switch emulator and locking it behind a paywall with Patreon, and have now established a legal precedent for it. It’s safe to say that anyone caught doing the same things in future will suffer the same consequences. It’s different when it’s something purely fanmade, that doesn’t use any existing assets, like fanart or something. But P-06 is literally using assets from an existing video game, charging for it in any capacity would get him in a lot of legal trouble.

Making games as a hobby or passion project takes a lot of time and he can only focus so much of his time on so many things. This is the project that captured his and everyone's interest the most and the one he's most dedicated to finishing and I can respect and appreciate that. He had at least 3 other games he was messing around with and working on casually and he shelved them all to dedicate his time to finish P-06 for now.
It can come back. Once he finishes 06, he has Heroes to deal with though he's just a producer if I remember correctly. Last time I checked, he still has the files though that depends if he backed it up because his previous PC got fried. There was one other person attempting to do it but their PC also got fried and it wasn't backed up so they effectively quitted. They did say it can come back but it's been two years as of this writing and there's no updates on it since then. Regardless, the Unleashed project depends on whether ChaosX wants to continue after 06 or he decides to step back to just look over Heroes and retire permanently afterwards.
I just downloaded it today and astonished at how great it feels. I really hope people make custom levels because I'm going through them like crazy and as fun as they are I'm gonna run out of stuff to do once I get all S ranks

Hopefully this gets fixed because it makes the red gem absolutely useless here. The only use case I can see for it would be better handing in a mach-speed section, but you aren't allowed to use gems in those.
The original explanation I heard was that the gems code was too buried in the games source code that any attempt to modify how any of them work now would break other parts of the game, and that ChaosX felt the effort it would take to bother with that was better spent elsewhere. Maybe one day towards the end of the games' development life he'll go back for older stuff like that, but for now he seems very content with how they work. And to be fair, while the Red Gem is useless, it's inline with how Sonic Team handled any time slowdown power Sonic got in pretty much all other games, Secret Rings and Generations in particular.

Something I would really like to see is the sections cleanly transitioning between each other without loading screens. As well with the music cleanly transitioning as well with it changing on beat 1 of the measure either right when or after the player gets control, or in the case of Mach speed sections, when Sonic appears to ready up.
Most loading screens could be deleted by just combining all the sections like in shadows crisis city after the glider it could get sinped leading to shadow falling to the next section
Funnily, You kinda can actually use a PS3 Controller to play P-06 but it's not a regular controller, but a fake one (like the ones that got dark grey matte color and they're less heavier). These fake PS3 controllers got PC support for some reason (idk why) but after you connect it to your pc and run the game, the controller works but the buttons are mapped wrong (like the jump button is in R3) So to map them right is to use the steam configuration and that's it.
I lost contact with Sonic after Saturn failure. When Sonic 06 appeared, I was owner of a ps3. So happy to finally make up with blue hedgehog... ...To be utterly disappointed with the lack of speed in every aspects of the game. 5 years later, I got a trial version of Sonic Generations : Reconciliation (and I finally played Adventure 1 and 2, Unleashed and finally finished Sonic 06 and played Sonic CD. I like everything related to improve that failure into a beautiful game. Scenario was great, locations were very detailed. I was sad it was so slow... Great job!

Okay it could just be me, and this is mainly for whats said at the START of the vid, but, i honestly cant stand it when people say or treat 06 as one of the worst games ever. Whether it being said more as an exaggeration or just a standalone statement. Yes, for sonic games its a low point, there were too many things working against the team behind it for it to be as great as it could have been. But lets not pretend that there arent another few sonic games that are just as if not (imo) worse. People forget the Boom games exist, Lost World as far as i see hit similar lows for some people and then there was Forces...i hope i dont have to explain why in my opinion forces is worse than 06, but as a quick point at least 06 was trying to be original and give the series a bit of a fresh start. Games not perfect, not by a long shot, but its not the worst sonic game ive seen and its definately not the worst game, period, I've ever seen.

I hate that I can't play this amazing fangame on my laptop, because it runs pretty bad on it, which shows how much work was put into this game.
Did you try changing all of the graphics settings to work on your laptop?

woah i didn't even know knuckles had different combos. i know you and chaosx talk a lot, it'd be cool if rouge had that too because i think the Y or triangle button isn't used with her. also i'd love a combo move for shadow where if you press X or square at the end of his homing attack combo you can use his chaos energy punch from sonic battle!

Okay it could just be me, and this is mainly for whats said at the START of the vid, but, i honestly cant stand it when people say or treat 06 as one of the worst games ever. Whether it being said more as an exaggeration or just a standalone statement. Yes, for sonic games its a low point, there were too many things working against the team behind it for it to be as great as it could have been. But lets not pretend that there arent another few sonic games that are just as if not (imo) worse. People forget the Boom games exist, Lost World as far as i see hit similar lows for some people and then there was Forces...i hope i dont have to explain why in my opinion forces is worse than 06, but as a quick point at least 06 was trying to be original and give the series a bit of a fresh start. Games not perfect, not by a long shot, but its not the worst sonic game ive seen and its definately not the worst game, period, I've ever seen.
And that’s ok! Just like how you express your thoughts in this admittedly very well-written comment, I do the same in my videos.
