Are you kidding me, it was one of the best games ive ever seen. It was the best possible way to end the tournament with a blast. They had incredible teamwork and all the small details they did had a huge impact on the game.
Gold and exp doesn't affect fights as much as you think. For example,A magnus with blink dagger and a magnus with ogre club+blink dagger will have the same effect in the fight. Knowing what to do,who to lock down, who to focus makes you win fights even if you are behind.
one very different element of sport and esport is that esport are usually stuff that we would want to avoid in real life, such as war, fight, shooting people down, killing opponent. and if you can use any ' military tactic', it's a real beautiful experience that we common people cant get in real life.
s4 was so OP at disabling tose TPs with Puck, thanks to him Alliance could take the Ancient, was so cool. Alliance team work was amazing and broke NaVi.
Have you watched the International 2013 matches of Fnatic? They haven't gone rat doto at all in any game, they were playing aggressive and taking fights early game.
Now, that's a comment i didn't expect to find here. Optimism would be the most powerful force in life, if it did actually work. 'Pray for the best, prepare for the worst'.
back dooring is a strategy ..I am a na'vi fan but i can accept defeat unlike some fools who are crying and being childish.Alliance played awesome this year
They don't understand that this is not about which team is rougher than the other, this is a MIND game, so the better strategy, and well executed one is which wins.
I know usually when your spectating its like three minutes behind but i would think it would be different because its international so is it live when they are talking or wat the announcers are seeing is a couple minutes behind the real thing
I'm really sad that Na'Vi lost.. being a Na'Vi fanboy myself, this is really disheartening of course. However, awesome play by Alliance, gotta respect that. Their playstyle is really stable.
it's not about big team fights or killing enemy heroes but destroying the base...it's called "Defense of the Ancients" for a reason. BD and split pushes are good strats to destroy the base and any self respecting DotA player should understand and accept that.
hahaha I LOVE BACK DOOR!! this is excellent strategy man ... this is crazy game ... great game !!! ALLIANCE .... you should protect your tower at all cost and mother ancient
I can't entirely agree with you there, yeah, Alliance is a highly skilled team, one of the best. But it was more great decision making then a testament to skill.
that was a juke, though not a complex one. he ran one direction, shadowbladed and then ran the other way, so the enemies think he continues running the same way. that is the definition of juking....
Navi seem to keep making mistakes where their entire team rushes in to a stupid position and gets wiped by Alliance. This game it was moving to take the bottom tier 2, from which they never recovered. Last game they tried for Roshan when Alliance were right next to them, which nearly lost them the game.
Stephen Damm Bøås so why wouldnt they use that technique i mean alch would be pretty much unkillable cause i myself had to fight a similar combo where bristle had octarine and oracle combo cant even make bristle half his hp
+Joseph Bauyon Its not worth getting oracle just because of that.. its not that op. Oracle is often picked to counter bat, so if you're up against bat and you have alch, sure.. Its just not that great of a combo, its not bad.. but hardly something to first/pick ban in this patch
Stephen Damm Bøås bro its the same concept mineski used to beat alliance on huskar and dazzle u just need to keep ur main hero alive to kill them thats all :D
To those sore NaVi wannabes : Stop nonsenses about "style" gameplay when victory is achievable by fulfilling the objectives of the game. Both teams had a great gameplay here. If you refuse to recognize Alliance's victory in this tournament, no one can force you to. But Alliance do deserve commendation for turning the tides, so bashing them won't change this fact.
They took the one chance they had at winning, and Na'Vi should have reacted faster. They knew how fast a CK and a prophet could break a base, but they decided to race. By the time they decided to react, S4 was there to punish that decision. It's called strategy.
Loda Quote - Its about killing buildings, not heroes, not farming gold. Ofc killing heroes and farming gold makes it a bit easier but when they ancient falls, u win.
because if they pop bans on them it leaves other champs open like naga and alliance is notorious for their naga play. games really can be decided by picks and bans
How do you counter fountain hooking? Stun target + fountain hook = 100% dead hero every time. Backdooring can be countered with many hero's, one space cow in particular dominates natures prophet.
Stopped reading after "Wisp and Prophet aren't strong." They are top tier ban/picks,and are among the strongest heroes in the game. They are picked/banned in almost every professional game.
how is backdooring an ugly win? It is an awesome strategy man. This game is all about creativity. There are many strategies that can be used to win and each has a counter to it. If anything, wasn't Fountain hooking more of a cheap strategy than back dooring?
i will do anything to win that much of money if i was in the game, i would not care about win with a straight battle, i will only care about how we win this game. so please just enjoy how they play and learn from it.
Lol. Well, i didn't really play Dota 2. But i was a total Dota fan back then, until i realized life is much more than 10 heroes on a digital map. So I guess the dota world changed a lot...
You are kidding me right? The split push Alliance used to win was boring? Our opinion are on the opposite ends of spectrum brother. It was thrilling for me to see the team that is losing in gold and xp use a risky strategy to win.
I can't agree with "if it's in the game, then it's legit". Things get patched for a reason, but it is true that bd has been in the game since I remember.
Puppey before picking Bane: Umm we got our core heroes, so now what? I guess if we get Bane it won't hurt right? Might even help.. s4 seeing the Bane pick: I'm going to crush them with a single final pick..
They played pudge against all top tier teams, what the hell are you talking about? The only team they didn't play pudge against was Alliance, and thats because they couldn't get chen. They rarely play pudge without chen.
Nayt Mare Works. You should try it sometime. Another neat trick is AL on Zeus, your ulti then hits every enemy hero, no matter where they are on the map. I heard it works with Silencer ulti, too.
Life is a series of proboability. every day there's a chance that a given set of things will happen. You'll keep getting "lucky" if you keep exposing yourself to things with upside and limited downside. If you get an amazing job or contract that you had a 1 in 1,000 chance of getting, were you lucky? No, especially not if you applied and pitched 1,000 other places. If you say, "Ok, I'm going to keep trying to get what I want until I do" you'll get it.
You use anything in your disposal to win. I think Na'Vi can understand that more then anyone(fans should too), or did you forget that Tonfu vs Na'Vi game where they had to use fountain hooks in order to win? In the end, it's not all about how you win, it's about winning. That means winning by team fights, back-dooring or any strat available. Any Dota 2 player should understand this, hell any MOBA player should.
please, just stop arguing about the split pushing. I'm a na`vi 'fanboy' but im perfectly fine about split push. I get angry because of it but its perfectly fair. Alliance did what they had to do and they got rewarded for it
The sad thing was it wasn't even backdooring creeps were there and it was just a standard split push. So many butthurt Na`Vi fans (not you :P). I love it.
Are you kidding me, it was one of the best games ive ever seen. It was the best possible way to end the tournament with a blast. They had incredible teamwork and all the small details they did had a huge impact on the game.
At 19:50 dendi could not Jaunt to his orb because when he came out of his phase shift he landed into a tether stun
I have missed good old dota :(
7.00 was a mistake
Thanks for explaining how wisp works every 5 sec for this whole series.
18:20
Holy fuck, Gyro 5 man calldown.
Alliance 4 ever lov it :)

This game is so fun to watch!
"Defense of the Ancients"... very well said.
Dendi is a good player also puppey !! GO Na'Vi
Thing with ''luck'' is if you want something and you keep trying and you get it, you will get it.
s4 was so OP at disabling tose TPs with Puck, thanks to him Alliance could take the Ancient, was so cool. Alliance team work was amazing and broke NaVi.
Have you watched the International 2013 matches of Fnatic? They haven't gone rat doto at all in any game, they were playing aggressive and taking fights early game.
Good luck Have fun. Back from wc3 days.
Now, that's a comment i didn't expect to find here. Optimism would be the most powerful force in life, if it did actually work. 'Pray for the best, prepare for the worst'.
ROFL I can see how disappointed the audience were. I like it.
"i know you are a great commentator but..." ahhhh, what was Bruno going to say?
I feel like of all the commentator duo's (Lumi/LD Tobi/Waga ayesee/Draskyl) I think they are the best
back dooring is a strategy ..I am a na'vi fan but i can accept defeat unlike some fools who are crying and being childish.Alliance played awesome this year
"Life is a series of probability. every day there's a chance that a given set of things will happen"
That is exactly what I'm saying,
They don't understand that this is not about which team is rougher than the other, this is a MIND game, so the better strategy, and well executed one is which wins.
COMMON NA'VI FANBOYS! JUST ACCEPT THE DEFEAT! I am a Na'vi supporter too, but I can live with it. JUST ACCEPT DEFEAT ALREADY!
Alchemist is fucking scary
THIS IS DEFENCE OF THE ANCIENTS Na Vi COULD NOT DEFEND
Sad really wish navi had won but hey alliance ftw they are really good kudos
I know usually when your spectating its like three minutes behind but i would think it would be different because its international so is it live when they are talking or wat the announcers are seeing is a couple minutes behind the real thing

I am with you, stayed up +8 hours to see it, game ends 7am furion backdooring. :)
If it is the banning phase, you simply don't ban a hero, where as during the picking stage, you get a random hero.
hahaha I LOVE BACK DOOR!! this is excellent strategy man ... this is crazy game ... great game !!! ALLIANCE .... you should protect your tower at all cost and mother ancient
Great Team Alliance :D
What happened? did navi resign this match? cuz the ancient just got destroyed without the t4 being down so i'm lost
thnx dude :)
I can't entirely agree with you there, yeah, Alliance is a highly skilled team, one of the best. But it was more great decision making then a testament to skill.

Question if Oracle ult alc while he is in ult does he heal more? cause Oracle ' s ult increases the amount of heal u get right?
While delaying the damage u take
+Joseph Bauyon Yes, it will heal more
Stephen Damm Bøås so why wouldnt they use that technique i mean alch would be pretty much unkillable cause i myself had to fight a similar combo where bristle had octarine and oracle combo cant even make bristle half his hp

I would. But it wasn't even backdoor, it was splitpushing, there were creeps in the base. They simply outplayed/outmanouvered na'vi.
Why are you talking about game 5 in game 4 vid?
That tether stun
good luck have fun :)
When will the fifth game start ?
this man speaks the truth
To those sore NaVi wannabes : Stop nonsenses about "style" gameplay when victory is achievable by fulfilling the objectives of the game. Both teams had a great gameplay here. good skill
Xboct's from Moscow or keiv, can't remember.
Their old lineup was like half russian.
Bulldog no1 recognised his legendry plays
and you should have a strategy to defend the splitpush aswell. winning lane and teamfights is not the objective of dota, but it helps to win the game.
No hotkeys on powers? how do they play?
Who said you see their interface with THEIR hotkeys?
Loda Quote - Its about killing buildings, not heroes, not farming gold. Ofc killing heroes and farming gold makes it a bit easier but when they ancient falls, u win.
[A] is the winner !!! At the end, It's all about winning the game. Very sorry for Na'Vi.
what does backdoor mean ???
Alliance vs Na'Vi Grand Finals Game Four.
because if they pop bans on them it leaves other champs open like naga and alliance is notorious for their naga play. games really can be decided by picks and bans
How do you counter fountain hooking? Stun target + fountain hook = 100% dead hero every time. Backdooring can be countered with many hero's, one space cow in particular dominates natures prophet.
Except for the fact that Pushing against tower regen (AKA backdooring) is usually frowned upon.
Stopped reading after "Wisp and Prophet aren't strong."
They are top tier ban/picks,and are among the strongest heroes in the game. They are picked/banned in almost every professional game.
how is backdooring an ugly win? It is an awesome strategy man. This game is all about creativity. There are many strategies that can be used to win and each has a counter to it. If anything, wasn't Fountain hooking more of a cheap strategy than back dooring?
can someone explain why Pro Furion always rush for Hand of Midas as 1st item ?
i will do anything to win that much of money if i was in the game, i would not care about win with a straight battle, i will only care about how we win this game. so please just enjoy how they play and learn from it.
Lol. Well, i didn't really play Dota 2. But i was a total Dota fan back then, until i realized life is much more than 10 heroes on a digital map. So I guess the dota world changed a lot...
When i see the hero picks i always think if navi pick omniknight and not bane they would win
You are kidding me right? The split push Alliance used to win was boring? Our opinion are on the opposite ends of spectrum brother. It was thrilling for me to see the team that is losing in gold and xp use a risky strategy to win.

when they bann them they pick naga and chen and alliance has so strong combos based on chen and naga siren.
Fountain Hooking is not *cheap*.Its a simple *game mechanics*.
33:05 I think Luminous pissed his pants lol
21:31 biggest lumi voice crack
what is GL HF?
what chloe grace moretz doing in that dota match?
[A] is so damn strong
Xboct is a beast
my heart feels broken
Sigh..Wisp too OP..ban please! @@
Good commentating, real fun!!! Keep it up ld lumi :)
ignoring creeps wave, and straight move to kill tower or ancient.
it called defense of the ancient for no reason
I am agree with you. However, it is not even an abuse.
Alliance FTW!!
They played pudge against all top tier teams, what the hell are you talking about?
The only team they didn't play pudge against was Alliance, and thats because they couldn't get chen. They rarely play pudge without chen.
If you buy Aether lens on Io you can relocate to anywhere on the entire map.
+Jan Talpa the fuck
Nayt Mare Works. You should try it sometime. Another neat trick is AL on Zeus, your ulti then hits every enemy hero, no matter where they are on the map. I heard it works with Silencer ulti, too.
+Nayt Mare
Technically, he's correct ;)
LMFAO
+Jan Talpa Nice suggestion do you think it works with np ult?
Furion is taken for that a carry that push when the enemy team is far

you play to win.
Navi so bad, alliance even gave them 2 wins for free and then crushed them.
GO ALLIANCE!
anyone know the ID of this match?
HOW DID THEY SAW #2
In one point I disagree. The Fountain Hooks were just a bit too much
wait, you dislike alliance style of play but root for Fnatic???
Read with caution. ''as it requires alkot of things including timing, skill, luck, experience etc.'' LUCK?
WOW AMAZING SPLIT PUSHES,THEY CAN TP AND A-CLICK CREEPS HOLY SHIT
You use anything in your disposal to win. I think Na'Vi can understand that more then anyone(fans should too), or did you forget that Tonfu vs Na'Vi game where they had to use fountain hooks in order to win?
In the end, it's not all about how you win, it's about winning. That means winning by team fights, back-dooring or any strat available. Any Dota 2 player should understand this, hell any MOBA player should.
S4 rules on this game i think!
please, just stop arguing about the split pushing.
I love it.
