I actually liked it and when I saw a post by judge toler that faith would be taking over, I was excited. I think you should watch it, I’m curious to hear your thoughts!
Also do over half of the folks here in Michigan live in the Detroit metro area? I swear everytime I see folks online also from Michigan there from the southeast side of the state (including my grandma and mom) while I've been born and raised on the southwest side of the state
Judge Jenkins had her own court show before this. And she was great in that. She seemed more by the book. But would also not let people step out of line. However, she Def didn't feel right for Divorce Court. She definitely has a different personality and style than both previous female judges. I feel bad that people remember her for her short run on Divorce Court and not her original Court show, where it really showcased her personality and rulings so much better.
When I was caretaking for my grandma, we bonded over how much we loved the messiness of divorce court. Every day we’d get to watch an hour and it was always able to get our jaws dropping.
My now husband and I used to watch Divorce Court as our "popcorn TV" when we were playing video games, as just something to turn on when we first moved in together in 2014. We ended up having a lot of discussions that wouldn't have come up if we didn't see the toxic extreme of some issues. We have a lot of good memories of binging it, and we even really wanted to go to a taping before the pandemic. I will always have a lot of respect for Judge Lynn Toler.
I parasocially love the heck outta you, Kennie. I hope the depression eases soon. I have been there myself and I wish none of us had this struggle. If it's a silly question I'm sorry, but have you seen The People's Court? So much fake/real courtroom stuff on TV when I was a kid in the 80s
I also watched Divorce Court after coming home from school at a probably inappropriate age for a weird length of time. Hearing about it again is weirdly delightful and nostalgic
Few things are as relatable as “my mental health ain’t great and the room I want/need to spend time in is absolutely trashed and those two things are connected”
The energy of “you’ve come home from school pretty quick, the TV at home has Divorce Court/Judge Judy/Jerry Springer on even though nobody at home admits to watching it, and you have the free time and vibe to watch it” is so specific I can almost slip back into it
Good lord. This was a throwback. Watching court tv was a past time for me. Divorce Court, Judge Mathis, the People’s Court, Judge Judy, Judge Hatchett, Judge Joe Brown - I can go on! 😂 I just started getting back into it, this time including international law.
12:08 - I’m scared that I was actually close. I guessed 60 years because my only clue was the People’s Court main theme came out around the late 50s-easy 60s and it’s still being used. That means this show TWO YEARS older than my parents! 😂
This unlocked a memory for me. I think my mom used to watch this show and a woman in the promo for it was saying she heard her husband cheating on her in the other room, and said something along the lines "I heard pants unzipping and thought somebody is having sex!" I had never heard the word "sex" before and then asked my mom to explain it to me. I was probably a toddler 😭

Judge Faith had her own show before being asked to be on divorce court. I actually liked it and when I saw a post by judge toler that faith would be taking over, I was excited. I don’t know what happened but her demeanor was much more subdued when she switched because she definitely had a bigger, more assertive presence on her show. I think you should watch it, I’m curious to hear your thoughts!
God the intro, I’m in Ann Arbor and instantly knew exactly when you filmed this 😭
Also do over half of the folks here in Michigan live in the Detroit metro area? I swear everytime I see folks online also from Michigan there from the southeast side of the state (including my grandma and mom) while I've been born and raised on the southwest side of the state
I live in the city of Wayne, MI and work at Metro airport in Romulus

Looks like the editors have adapted your style, looking forward to see more fun videos kennie❤
Every day we’d get to watch an hour and it was always able to get our jaws dropping.
how did you know i was cleaning my bathroom😭
I too had an intense rediscovery of court tv last year during a depressive episode. Kept me going for several weeks and was surprisingly educational.
Just started and I have to say - immediately the editors r doing great job. Clean, sleek, faaaaancy but not too much. Keep it up yall!!!!!
Few things are as relatable as “my mental health ain’t great and the room I want/need to spend time in is absolutely trashed and those two things are connected”
45:24 I’m almost done making my pork buns 😂😂thanks for keeping me company!
My mom is named after someone that was on the show in the late 1960s. My grandma was watching it while pregnant, heard the name and loved it 😂
Honorable mention of Ana Maria Polo, and bc you just reminded me I need to get into these shows 😭
The energy of “you’ve come home from school pretty quick, the TV at home has Divorce Court/Judge Judy/Jerry Springer on even though nobody at home admits to watching it, and you have the free time and vibe to watch it” is so specific I can almost slip back into it
Thank you for body doubling with me while I iron and finish some art 😂
court shows are one of my favorite things i love this
As a 45yr old... I wish you 20-30somethings would stop calling yourself old. Haha.
Good lord. This was a throwback. Watching court tv was a past time for me. Divorce Court, Judge Mathis, the People’s Court, Judge Judy, Judge Hatchett, Judge Joe Brown - I can go on! 😂
I just started getting back into it, this time including international law.
12:08 - I’m scared that I was actually close. I guessed 60 years because my only clue was the People’s Court main theme came out around the late 50s-easy 60s and it’s still being used. That means this show TWO YEARS older than my parents! 😂
For any Samsung TV owners (2017 models and newer): pro-tip that Samsung TV Plus has a 24/7 Divorce Court channel! 😁
Thank you for asking Kennie I did just finish folding 😂
The grown up shade of purple is BEAUTIFUL
i adore your hair!! youre giving me psylocke from xmen
Can confirm my napping grandparents contribute to the viewership of these shows
"She gave Wu some Tang" nearly sent iced coffee out my nose. 😂
this color WIG! Inspirational✨
It is stunning!!
Literally iconic
Divorce Court, Jerry, Maury, Judge Judy. The shows I watched when I was sick as a kid and they have a solid place in my heart. ITS BEEN AROUND THAT LONG!?
Judge Judy, Jerry Springer and Paternity Court was on rotation in my home growing up. Including Divorce court 😂
Girl! Don't call me out on listening to you while doing chores or work 😂😂
