If rat dota is as easy as you think, then why have teams breaking out in cold sweat dealing against it during pre-TI4? Alliance's rat playstyle reminded all of us that the one and only objective of the game : Destroy the Ancient/Throne. Haters keeps on harping on the disgusting part when one sneaks into your base and destroy your structures instead of facing you head-on, but they missed out the fact that Alliance has been dealing 4v5 teamfight situations whenever AdmiralBulldog rats upon the enemy's base.
Nobody complains about rat dota to be cheating, its mostly a cowardly strat that could be easily countered during draft, with notable one hero to be a very hard counter to this is Spectre.

Bones all pushing strats are basically rat imo, I generally dislike five manning early to take towers, it's something you lose against from the picking stage, non recoverable etc, no point watching a match which is already over, I have a lot more fun on a long eventful non feeding game that I barely lose (some like 100 hp on their base :/) to an easy stomp even if I'm slark with 39 kills and 1 death it's not as fun by the end.

TimpsterTheDude I never blame alliance for rat, I always blame valve for making it a viable strat, it's not as fun to watch, not as fun to play, and not as fun to play against. If they nerf it to fuck people will stop doing it and imo games will be more fun, I could rush pick np every game, I wouldn't even have to jungle, but it's no fun. Him alone is fairly weak at my mmr though, even though I'm not that high at all, most games vs him I'm a cm etc, I see him pushing while we push, I tp, freeze and ult w/ dust as required, usually I get the kill and stop the push, but against say a DP shaman prophet kotl enigma you're fucked, sure they have no late game but they get a tower every two minutes once shaman and dp get 6, and kotl can defend for days and all the good pushers are gone, I often get matched against 3 man try hard pub ratters in pubs, they aren't getting millions of dollars for a win, they're just being assholes, 90% of the ratting problems would be fixed if valve brought back the option to solo queue with other solo players and no parties like you could a while ago, if I was never with/against premades there would be less combos, rat strats I couldn't counter by myself and less general arguments because a 4 man premade gangs up on me because they're all mates and ofc I'm blamed for everything, screw short wait times, if every game was full on solo q I'd honestly wait 10 mins per game.
I follow it enough to know only IG fans though IG was anywhere close to having a chance at TI4. Your fan goggles are on. Alliance and IG are both shells of their former selves and will never be on top again.
Shane Anderson IG was dominating the Eastern scene, easily disposing of DK, the grand favourites, at WPC. Then they went to ESL and stomped everyone there. Meanwhile, DK was slumping after winning Starladder 9. VG had been a non-factor in the East for a while now and Newbee was seen as a dark horse. Coming into TI, most analysts had their money on either IG or DK, and for the West it was only EG. Like i said, you just keep showing how little you actually follow the scene.
