You I didn’t get out of the resort? They have incredible grottos, cenotes and pyramids. That is sad to travel so far and not discover the people and their culture
@@MA-xh4ru I'm afraid that is an assumption,the video is about the resort and not the surrounding area. I always visit local areas,not the tourist areas as I prefer to be around the locals and not tourists.
My wife and I are going their in November 2022. Are there specific buildings for Preferred guests? I'm hoping to be close to the ocean and not way in the back by the main building.
The preferred club are the ones nearer the ocean,we chose not to have the swim up pool (ground floor) as we wanted to make sure we could see the ocean from our room. For memory I believe the next building to us which faces out to sea was another tier up in price. Make sure on booking you would like an ocean view. enjoy your trip!

@@brianewing5778 We enjoyed our stay,we are going back to Finest Playa Mujeres this year- we like going over to Isla Mujeres for the day-Maroma is a little too far away for a quick trip.
Did you reserve a sunbed at 6am? Are there sunbed wars there?
To be honest,yes-a bit. If you want a certain (included) bed in a certain spot (we wanted next to exercise cabana right by the path to beach) as it had the most space-as you can see there are lots of beds but as the beach wasn’t great (during our stay) then the pool was busier than it would normally be.

We were there in 2014 and 2017 and not a drop of seaweed, ever. New ownership?
Renee Carter I don’t think so,it was our first trip there,I couldn’t say. I have to say that the seaweed would not put us off rebooking-it could happen anywhere really,it was just a shame as they worked tirelessly to keep it at bay.
The beach is our primary concern at Secrets and they were cleaning it every morning at the crack of dawn in late July. The water was crystal clear, as well as the beach. This is where we spend most of our time, so it is a concern. 🌞

Unfortunately it is the algae bloom which is all over the Caribbean. Climate change SUCKS!!!

One night they put a casino entertainment evening but we didn’t stay and play-probably fake dollars but it looked good!
