With many of the kinds of movies being made the last few years, I'm happy it ended after "Goldmember".
I'm not sure they can make one in this day and age without it being a) completely neutered comically, or b) just a trainwreck like Love Guru that's not only not funny, but just offensively bad.
The movie within a movie start is pure genius. :)

Considering the "E" in "E Diddy" stands for "Evil" I'd say it actually aged pretty well, just in a bad way.
The line Austin Powers said to the Japanese twin “You’re going the right way for a smacked bottom” was actually the same line used in Shrek (both played by Mike Myers) if you guys didn’t know
Nathan Lane was the perfect cameo for that scene.
That Godzilla joke is one of my favorites from movies in general.

The godzilla joke is accruate. TOHO studios who owns Godzilla is famously protective of their copyrigjt. Just ask UA-cam Brandon Tenhold who has done multiple reviews of Godzilla films on his channel only for them to be copyright struck after the studio saw them.

Michael Caine, you're forgetting his best performance..... Ebenezer Scrooge in the "Muppet Christmas Carol"... Anyone who could play a true to life Ebenezer Scrooge where the rest of the cast is Muppets.... And not break character, is #1 in my book.

This one is my favorite!!! It came out when I was 11 and I’ve seen it sooo many times! I think it’s the funniest one, I’m glad you guys have been enjoying these! I still quote this movie all the time!

From my memory.
Half the population get bad pee-smell from asparagus. And half can smell it.
And all cross-overs exist. Imagine the people that gets bad smell but can't smell it themselves.
This movie was supposed to be the last Austin Powers movie and they wanted to end it on a Positive note. Mike Myers has a script for a 4th Austin Powers but I don't see it happening because of the death of Mini Me (Verne Troyer) and the fact that it has been so long since the original three. Goldmember isn't bad (in fact it has some great scenes) but its not as good overall as the previous 2 films.

I agree with what yall said, this movie just isnt as good as the othet two. I do think its worth watching to complete the trilogy but yeah, not a fan with what they did to most of the characters. The open of the movie is the best part of the entire film. The movie within a movie with A-List celebrities was freaking awesome!
I always so that most of the humor in the first two movies is "stupid funny" but a lot of the humor in the third movie is just stupid.
"Seamen" lol. Reminds me of that scene in Transformers when Sam says "Seamen" and the whole class laughs because it sounds like he said semen lol
I still wish there was a fourth where Scott Evil got to be the main villain.

It is interesting that there's a problem with some movies where the female character is relegated to JUST the love interest with no capability. But here, she was barely the love interest even, but also had no capability. Whereas the others played the love interests much better, AND played competent characters in their own right.
the problem wirh foxys writing is that she lost character development time to tell the story about austin father. other than tnat, its the most consistent trilogy of all time in my books.
are both of them clueless that austin powers is a parody of james bond? being disappointed its a new girl every movie indicates they don't.
I think a part of the problem is that the Austin Powers movies actually did a better job of making the love interests interesting characters, and making austin's relationships with them feel more genuine, so their departure is more noticeable and disappointing.

I'm totally down for seeing you both watch the Mummy movies. Particularly the first 2 since, much like the Austin Powers trilogy, the 3rd movie isn't as great as the ones before it.
I'm not really a big fan of Beyonce to begin with. But they also definitely didn't do as much with her as they did with Vanessa and Felicity. They really seemed to JUST use her as the star power without having her do much or even affect the story at all. She could easily be removed and nothing changes.
3 is my least favorite, but favorite opening scene.

This one was my least favorite back when I watched it in theaters, too. There was a few years gap between this and the second movie unlike how close together the first 2 movies were. I was getting a little older, as my humor had changed from 1999 to 2002, so some of the jokes and situations that carried had gotten old for me. I just remember being in the movies having less fun with it than I did with The Spy Who Shagged Me, which I laughed so much at even with subsequent rewatches. Having rewatched it recently, I too enjoy it as much as the first two, though I'm glad there were no more movies after this one because despite me enjoying this movie, I can still see the beginnings of things getting stale. Sometimes, you just gotta let things end, especially if it's still on a high note

I think Beyoncé might be the smartest person in the entire entertainment industry. Her music is boring, I don't think she is attractive at all (like actual neutral, but not in any way ugly), and she is more well known for her success in the industry than her actual content. If there are nominations for most clever, I would like to submit her.

Hello Jen & Natalie!😊 Jen, looking hot as always! 😉 Foxy was pretty weak, and Goldmember was just gross at times. They could have cut the skin thing. The brothers thing did seem out of place. However, overall it was very enjoyable! The opening and closing with the cameos is pretty awesome!🏆 Great reactions to this flawed at times comedy, but still fun, Ladies!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

The 1st and 2nd are the best movies in my opinion, but 3 is still ok. I really disliked it when I was younger, but this one grew on me even though it's still clearly the 3rd best. I have to agree that I simply did not like Beyonce in this role. I'm not even sure if it was just her because there really was no chemistry, but I thought the character itself was just written really poorly. The deliveries for the jokes was bland, she wasn't really tasked with doing anything important except getting kicked in the face by Goldmember, and in all honestly the movie would be completely the same if they simply didn't have the character and that's a sign of bad writing in my eyes. I still like this movie for what it is though and I sort of want to see one where Scotty is truly the real villain.

Not all pretty women fit the position. Hurley did. Graham did. To me, Knowles, almost a down grade. They just pick the wrong actress. Not say that her acting is bad. But she doesn't fit the role. IMO, Cameron Diaz fits that role and she is known for her Comedy and her looks. That was just an example. There are many more. IMO this was a great Post.
