The part of him getting over Vanessa so fast is derived from James Bond having a new love interest in every movie.
But he only had one REAL love.
I mean, obviously this is before any of the Daniel Craig movies, he kind of changed the mold honestly. But yeah, back then he hopped from woman to woman a lot

I saw this when it came out, I was in college. The theater was packed and the laughter was raucous, especially the scene when Austin drinks the “coffee!!” 😂😂

They did the Star Wars references because it came out the same year as The Phantom Menace and they knew Star Wars would be the biggest movie of the year. I remember seeing a promo for Austin Powers saying "if you only see one movie this summer, go see the new Star Wars. But if you see 2 movies go see The Spy who Shagged me"

The little dance transitions are a reference to the 60's TV variety show, Laugh-In, which always had little scenes like that between the skits. Also, we rented this to watch at home, and we were literally crying laughing at "Johnson, Woody and Wang" jokes. My husband laughed so hard at the Jerry Springer scene I was afraid he was going to have a heart attack.

Fun fact. At 23:14 when the chair is malfunctioning it wasn't in the script. The chair went haywire to the point where Mike almost vomited and they had to cut 😂great movie series though. Loved it.

I think the entire trilogy is pretty solid.
The role of Fat Bastard was written for Chris Farley but when he died Mike Myers decided to do the role in makeup instead of trying to find another actor. Mustafa (Will Ferrell) did not recover. This is almost 30 before he was set on fire and shot.
I think Elizabeth Hurley had scheduling issues so they only got to film one scene to wrap it up for her
I think it's just a play on Bond movies having a new Bond girl in every next movie.

Why do people nowadays have such a hard time understanding a simple concept of wanting to switch love interests for each film? It used to be easily understood, for example because it makes sense for the male protagonist to have to woo and win over the girl...which won't happen when it's already happened with the previous girl.

Videogames based on movies were and are a great way to make extra money for movies so I wonder why we didn't get any Austin Powers videogames. Could've been fun.

Not watching the third Austin Powers movie is like not watching the third Men in Black movie.

Parks and Rec is a must watch, 1st season is a bit weak (still good but trying to mimic the office too much imo) but it is my favorite series of all time.

I think the viewership has been pretty solid for both videos definitely justifies watching Goldmember, which personally I think is the best one

This is my favorite of the trilogy. First is good, second is good or better, third is crap. Happens a lot in movies.
what dont you like about the third? i find it as consistent as the first two movies. in fact, this trilogy to me, is the most consistent trilogy of all time. could you name something better? the 3rd film doesnt try to be anything different but achieves the same result without feeling stale to me. plus they, for some reason, got sir michael to absolutely crush his role.

I would say yall should watch the 3rd one. Its definitely the weakest movie of the trilogy but it does have its moments.
