@@mikehughes8023 the third gen cr is 12:1 but, they were designed with boost in mind I don't know where you're getting your information from but that's completely false. They break when people use crap fuel. It's always easier to blame the engine than it is to admit when one has made an mistake. Hey, I've done it before. I talked all kinds of crap about my 4.6 when it blew up but, it was actually MY fault it blew up lol

MT82s can be good once you get rid of the stock clutch and get yourself a good short shifter
The mt-82 is a horrible trans. They aren't good unless you go Ben calimer. I'm about to swap to a T-56 which is massively better and the gearing is a longer.

becky g doe no I definitely think he just needs a better shifter. MT-82s are know for gear lockout. Especially if the shifter is body mounted Vs transmounted.
If he hasn’t upgraded the clutch then that’s the reason. It’s not the transmission.

If he is running an MT-82 transmission in the mustang those things suck to shift at high rpm’s
He needs a clutch. Mt-82 can hold whp600 np, and some ppl even push 700. But at that point, it's a question of when not if.

No, turbo doesn’t make immediate power like a supercharger. I have a 2013 fbo s197 5.0 and I’m paxton supercharging it in the future
Turbos make better top end power but for the low end power you want a supercharged system. The paxton superchargers here are essentially turbos that have a supercharger pulley system.

That mustang was fast but ive never seen a driver miss so many gears so consistently. As soon as he started to pull on you he let off. Wasnt a good show of how much further he could have gotten. Good vid.
And that is why I have a 6R80 in my paxton coyote.. lol.
Yeah good choice in swapping to a t-56. It's not even going to be fair to ppl. 165 in 4th gear
@@Hardwaretuned I swapped one of them in my 04 mach1. It had 4.56 gears so 165 came in 6th... lol. Good luck with it tho, mine did not like shifting after 6k rpm to save its life... it was the 2000 cobra R spec tho.
