Once installed, it helps alleviate stress by providing advanced analytics and constant monitoring of water levels, power status, pump performance, battery backup status, as well as temperature, humidity, and leak detection all through the Moen Smart Water App. If an abnormality or leak is detected you’re alerted through the app, if home or away, or an audible siren.

Hello chimrichalds1422 and thank you for your interest in Moen products. If your power goes out, you will receive an alert that the Smart Sump Pump Monitor has disconnected from Wi-Fi. The Sump Pump Monitor's included 9V backup battery will allow the Smart Sump Pump Monitor to audibly sound an alarm and siren so you can still be alerted to check your primary pump for failures.
