this makes me so happy. i grew up with my grandparents (who were from China and Hong Kong) taking care of me which i feel i took for granted now that im older and in high school. my grandpa’s no longer here and my grandma is not able to do daily things on her own anymore and so when i recently stumbled upon your channel, it made me reminisce the times i had with them and it just brings me joy to see your parents cooking and especially hearing them speak Cantonese because I genuinely missed hearing my grandpa talk in that dialect.

Wow, Mama Lau is amazing and truly inspiring 👏👏👏My parents had nothing, when they immigrant to America. They work so hard to provide for my siblings and me, and I am grateful to have them as my parents.
I love desserts made with red bean, and red bean soup is one of favorite with dried mandarin peels. I grew up eating Cantonese desserts made at home 😋
