@@m2pt5Sure, I could see that, but I've seen bigger and way brighter subtitles that are still covered up by stuff on the bottom of the screen. It happens with Shorts, mostly, I think. And even nearer the top, I've seen way bigger and somehow still difficult to read. I think after you've seen a few videos with these subtitles, you'll find them easier to ignore if you want.
Thank you for captions honestly. I know people don't like them but I have a learning disability and it's much easier to understand when I can read them as well.
The blade is called an Ulu. It’s a native tool from Alaska/Northern Canada. The cutting board is concave to work with it. Another similar tool is called a Mezzaluna.
Die Hard Dice is absolutely my favorite dice company. They have the beat customer service I think I've ever seen, and their dice are really fantastic quality. Also, while that sandwich looked a bit bland, it definitely didn't seem bad!
I love tempeh! You should try "Tempeh Bacon," also sold by Lightlife. It's thinly sliced with a nice smokey flavor. I also enjoy making tempeh salad - basically the same as chicken salad as far as ingredients go, but crumble tempeh instead of chicken.
I would love to have every sandwich chopped up like that. It’s a fantastic idea. This one looks yummy, too! Just imagine if it had a cranberry chutney as the sauce 🤤
Ok….what the heck is a chopped sandwich?! I have never heard of this trend before! I’ll have to look it up lol also oooooh those dice…I’m gonna have to check them out!
FEEDBACK - The subtitles were very unobtrusive, I didn't even realize them until the eating the sandwich part where it had more color contrast with your face. They were easy enough to spot when looking back but the text was a bit small.
I never have trouble hearing/following your voice in your videos but I know how disheartening it can be to need captions and not have them. I appreciate the effort you put into them!
ooh I wanna make this one… thinking about using bacon and peanut sauce instead of the tempeh to add a more savory component and a little more moisture. thoughts?
I think having the subtitles centered and towards the bottom of the screen would look WAY BETTER. Didn't love the yellow color either. Still enjoyable to to watch just different
@ZekeFreek no it was a sponsorship, but it seemed stupid to cut out the regular knife cuts just to roll “chopped” lol- so I took my chances with tiktok
I'm not a fan of the style of captions, plus autocaptions often can't deal with nuances of pronunciation imperfections (as we see with "wild" becoming "wow"), but I do personally prefer having them overall, and if hardcoded subs is what that takes, so be it. Maybe could we try moving them to the bottom of the screen so they don't obstruct, but are closer to, what you're doing with your hands so we don't have to look away from the action as much?
I’m stretched pretty thin. If I get big enough to expand this channel beyond just myself I’d love to do a specific edit for UA-cam, perhaps even in landscape
Also, even though they are “auto captions” I spend about an hour going through them and correcting mistakes, aligning them properly, etc. I just missed that one.
Damn I hate the captions, but it seems like I'm the only one. I can't see literally anything other than the moving text, my ADHD just cannot focus on the video when there's captions. Maybe I'll just listen to RFS like a podcast lol it's too distracting for me

That chopped mix would probably be great on a salad with a vinaigrette tbh
I like how unintrusive the captions were, they're often way more distracting.
personally I found them appearing in the middle of the screen more distracting, but I watch subtitled stuff all the time.
@m2pt5 that is the best place for my content to have them not cover any of the other text, sandwich, etc
@@adventuresinaardia I was gonna say, because the focal point is typically in the bottom of the screen, they kinda need to be in the middle

You’re welcome!
The perfect bread for a chopped sandwich. Basically a tempeh "chicken" salad.
With some augmentation this would be a great base for a 10/10 sandwich.
Wow, my mom used to make teriyaki tempeh all the time when I was younger. Memory forgotten until I saw this
Ok what is that bowl-shaped chopping device you have, because I need it so bad!

Didnt even realize there were captions til I read the comments.
You've been having some real winners as of late! Hopefully, your rolls stay high, and your lunch stays tasty my friend! 😊

I couldn’t help but think it looked like vomit on a sub 😂 the captions look great!
After the curveball that was the last sandwich, even chopping the filling feels refreshingly normal 😂
I dunno why, but this sandwich and its ingredients are calling out to me.

thank you for adding captions! as someone with processing issues you have no idea how much it helps!
I like frying my tempeh in a little soy sauce. Alternatively crumbling into taco seasoning!
Captions!🎉 Thank you!!!
Better chopped than on the chopping block.
Tempeh tastes a ton better if you boil it first for a while, or steam it.
I am here for the chopped sandwich.

Really liked the captions. I was a big fan. Thank you.

The chopped sandwich trend is just a trend where all the ingredients of the sandwich get chopped up fine and mixed together with the sauce. 😊
Yayyyyy 🎉🎉🎉 for captions
Roll for salad

Oh my, using a knife on-screen on a sponsored video? Daring.
I find these hard coded captions distracting, but I know that’s The Meta now

Apple and tempeh is good, over chopped I would've paneenied this thing

First knife cut (and chop) in a sponsored video?
I'm not sure if that was an explicit sponsorship, it sounds like they just sent him some dice and he wanted to shout them out.

I know we're here on UA-cam, but he's editing this for TikTok. So, for that app they're in the perfect spot.

Why the spoilers in the thumbnails?
No idea what you mean. I upload custom thumbnails and they never contain spoilers.
It’s weird. When I view the video on your channel as opposed to my home feed, the thumbnail is different.
@@kevinyevin439well that’s lame. Must be a UA-cam issue.

Really don't like the subtitles. Makes the video look kinda cheap? But that's just my opinion. Your videos are still great!
Hope I'm in the minority but...I hate the subtitles. I almost turned this one off.
Subtitles soooooooo distracting
some of us need them :/
