Thanks for making this video. I found it because I am learning salesforce. The "What is Experience Cloud" vid by Salesforce is... baffling. You explained things very well. I'm going to look to your channel for more info in the future.
Please make a video on marketing cloud and the video is best i was struggling for experience cloud for whole day and your video just made it so easy. 😄thanks!
I really wish you would build on this video with something like “ Build an Experience Site with me” like a short video playlist. I think many of us want to build websites.
is Commerce Cloud a version of Experience cloud applied to the shopify usecase? if not, please help me understand how is Commerce Cloud built if its not an instantiation of Experience Cloud.
Hi there, good question. Commerce Cloud is basically an eCommerce platform and tools (with it's own license) on Salesforce, with the ability to create your 'Shopify use case'. However, Experience Cloud is more of a complimentary thing when you think about the customer experience as a while (i.e. a customer might go to eCommerce site to buy something, but after purchasing can access a self-serve portal (experience cloud) to find out how to solve a problem, learn more about using the product, or request help. Here is an article found that talks about how Experience Cloud can compliment Commerce Cloud in such a way. Hope this helps a bit :) www.forcetalks.com/blog/salesforce-experience-cloud-can-be-used-to-complement-commerce-cloud/
@@AdamFoyston thank you! is Commerce Cloud a competitor to Shopify? Does it have its own catalog, inventory, pricing management tools, payment instruments integrations like Stripe, Paypal, etc?
Hi Matthew. To be honest I can't keep track of the rebranding SF do on their clouds, but I think this used to be 'Customer Portals' but rebranded to 'Experience Cloud. Service Cloud is more specific to servicing the customer with omni-channel support, etc.
Hello Adam, thanks for great video. Please let me ask your help ? Could you please help me to learning/understand exactly what is possible to do/configure in Experience Cloud "Guest License" ? Maybe you have a video about that or anyother doc. Thank you very much.
Hi there, thanks for the feedback. So there are two types of Experience (Portal/Community) licenses - authenticated, meaning they need a login and password to access, or unauthenticated, meaning anyone can access without a login and password (public). The 'Guest User' would be for the unauthenticated type - for example, a public knowledge/help site or a company information site. For memory you still need to purchase a bunch of 'guest' or community user licenses with Salesforce, but they are not assigned per person, but more a number of users accessing the site (volume). I will take a note of this and see if I can do a short video in the future to go over it with the latest info. Thanks again for engaging! Adam
Also how it jumps from 15 minutes back down to 12 due to the editing lol...funny but its a good overview......if its 5 minutes you gotta cut the content into 3-4 videos
Adam, this was terrific. I always enjoy your videos and break down! Thank you for taking the time to do this.
Hi Megan! Many thanks as always. Hope all is going well with you :)
You are one of the best I’ve seen with interacting, this video for sure really helped. Thank you

Thanks Adam !!
You're welcome!
That's a wonderful overview! Loved it.
Thank you so much for the comment! :)
Well done. More informative than the SF videos. Easy-to-understand explanations and great overview of all that makes Experience Clouds. Thank you!
You're welcome Nicole! Thanks for the kind comments! :)
You are a good teacher
Thank you Clay! Much appreciated. Let me know if I can help further with your journey on SF or if you have any suggestions for future content 👍

Thanks for the suggestion. I've been meaning to do a 'Customer Experiences' series, so great thought. Thanks.
Your are awesome, Adam.
You rock! Thanks you Dharmesh :)
Has this now become service cloud?
