Super Mario kart Custom Track - Rainbow Road

- Well, it's leap day so I had to do something special :v
Here is it, the last track of my still upcoming SMK hack. I made it simple and challenging as possible.
As you recall, my previous one was a mess, so I put in extra work to make this one more enjoyable.
Also, you can check out the extended Rainbow Road track palette I made. There's double the colors than in the previous one.
Background might change in the future.

I actually like this version more then the original. The original felt really bland and empty, but this gives the player the sense that they're being put up against a good challenge. Something about the amount put in this course just gives it a lot of personality.
Thanks! And indeed. One of the challenges I've seen for SMK custom tracks is that the feather limits you a lot. In this case I removed it entirely as you can skip 3/4 of the track really easy :

Wow. There was no room for goofing around in the original, but in this version, make one tiny alignment error, and you fall.
It looks like a really fun challenge.
Plus, is this TAS?
+LegendaryMotorist Thanks, and yeah. I tried to make it difficult but fair challenge. As you can see, its totally possible to do it with the Heavy characters, so other characters should have a bit easier time.
And nope, no TAS. I use zsnes emulator which I think you cant do TAS stuff.
+gridatttack Can you do a 1 shroom shortcut in this rainbow road anywhere?
+LegendaryMotorist Nope. I added invisible walls so you can't reach the other side. A bit cruel, but it's to prevent hose super shortcuts. Though I left the feather item, but it has the lowest chance of appearing while you are in 5 through 8.

@@gridatttack I recall you telling me to make aure the tracks can be run by heavy charectors. Thus I kniw this is no TAS. I did an update to the N64 tracks. Fixed the thinga you pointed out and I changed some of the tiles that were not proper. Back to work so I can not promis to be on Discord any time soon but When I see you again ill get you the update as you been most helpful in findinf errors. Thanks much.
This game is like Super Smash Bros, Luigi always does the best out of all the CPUs.

In my opinion I see, 2 problems, first easy R jump to the left in second corner to skip pretty much half track without items, and masive short cut with mushroms and feathers, and If you banned the feather on a RR it's not good to heard
+DJMAXPROJECT Pues antes de subir la pista, es imposible hacer lo que mencionas. Hay paredes invisibles que evitan que se usen un mushroom o un turbo drift para saltar al otro lado de la pista. Es imposible saltar con un mushroom en 150cc con bowser o DK JR al otro lado (lo probe bastante) con la rampa porque es muy pequeña.
Y no veo el problema de quitar la pluma. Si se usa la pluma o no depende del diseño de la pista, no del tema/fondo.
+gridatttack paredes invisibles en esa parte mhh chico listo, pero solo ahi no? bueno evitas atajo con mushrom ahi pero lo hay no? y lo de la pluma pues yo personalmente no estoy a favor de quitarla en los circuitos en los que se usa originalmente ,igualmente la tuve que quitar en mi bc2 por que era atajo facil y muy grande, es siempre una decision dificil xd o la quitas modificas la fase jaja.has probado el mio smk 20XX puedes sacar ideas de el...ya esta acabado.el.tuyo cuando lo acabas? estaria bien probarlo, si tienes algun problema con la cpu en alguna fase dime y quiza te pueda ayudar.bueno un saludo!
+DJMAXPROJECT Pues todo lados donde se pudiera hacer el atajo me asegure que no se pudiera.
Y comprendo. La pluma es uno de mis items favoritos, pero lo siento muy inconvencional en el juego porque me evita que pueda ser un poco mas interesante los diseños de algunas pistas. Al final solo 3 pistas tienen la pluma activada en los items, y son pistas con un diseño sencillo.
Pues si, jugue el 20xx cuando lo sacastes. En lo personal me gusto bastante la pista de playa que no es la que esta dividida, sino la otra que es el circuito solo, ya que esta bien diseñada y diseñar una buena pista de playa es bastande dificil.
Y pues este hack aun no se. Me faltan 4 pistas y me falta acabar el tema que reemplaza al Choco island. Los temas temas cambiados ya estan, solo el fondo nuevo me falta en 2 temas.
El que si ya esta por terminar es el Sour Music Kart. Solo la segunda pista de playa me falta por hacer jaja.

Yeah, I know. At the SMK hacking discord, people have been documenting and finding all unreleased stuff, even going as far as unused tracks that go even early than the may proto.

Hello! And nope, this is not finished. I sort of left it abandoned the last year, BUT, perfect timing. I'm in fact working on this to finish the hack once and for all! I'm currently finishing the replacement theme for choco island.
@@gridatttack Glad to read that. I know this is a time consuming undertaking. I created Sylvain kart and have been working on N64 tracks. I been awaiting yours to be released. Your maps and color choices look great and well polished. If you need any help let me know. Also how about battle maps? many SMK hacks over look battle all together.
