People who have lived here for quite a while know something about crossing bridges. Either the Bay Bridge or the Golden Gate. It is not just a physical movement. It is also social, psychological, financial, emotional, environmental and so many other changes. And believe me, these differences from one side of the bridge to the other side are not insignificant. They are huge.
Totally. Living in Oakland is NOT living in San Francisco. Heck, different parts of San Francisco feel completely different. But all feel like San Francisco!!!!

I just sold a house there last year to a family that wanted a bit more space and a bit less hustle, but still wanted to be close to the action. It's a nice place to live if you work in SF but want a but want a more laid back lifestyle :)
