- With the help from the wife we are going to see which one is the best Viktor & Rolf fragrance between Spicebomb the original and Spicebomb Extreme. LET'S BATTLE!!!

I went from 0 colognes to 12 today. I haven't had any in about 20 years. The last one I used and liked was Pi. Today I woke up and decided to treat myself. I got 12. It wasn't cheap but it was fun. I then did a blind smell test with family (6 people total). The top 4 were... 1. Spice bomb, 2. Spice bomb Extreme 3. Acqua Di Gio Profondo and 4. Dolce and Gabbana- The one. Also a close 4th was surprisingly the dried Tom Ford Ombre Leather.
That was most certainly an expensive day. As much as I enjoy this hobby, it can be rather pricey.
Curious how things are 1 year later🤔 I bet it's a lot more than 12 🍻
I have to go with Extreme..it has been in my top favorites for a while. To me, just a perfect winter fragrance.

Spicebomb OG is my girls favorite in my 50 bottle collection. She doesn’t like many of them so that says a lot.
That does say a lot for sure.
Extreme is very good, but i like the OG more. The OG last batches are very weak. Afortunately i got a 2019 recently with good performance 😄

Why distinguishes a winter from a summer cologne?
I love both to be honest equally. You cannot go wrong with either one. I say the original is a little more versatile with the freshness and citrus notes. Extreme is more sweet and dense. Better suited for the very cold fall and winter days.

I own the original. They say that the Bombs are more suited for winter. Although I don't disagree, it's very misleading. If you're inside a very cold place, it wouldn't matter at all if it's summer or winter (or spring or fall), unless you're outdoors. And I see both the OG and the Extreme for dates, for dinner in a cool to cold place or cool outdoor venues at night. For summer, if it's not extremely hot and it's windy, I could see them as a good alternative.
I can see your point in some ways. The first time I tried the original Spicebomb is when they first released it years ago. It was the summer time and the spices were just too much for my nose. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for stopping by.

Never had any spicebombs. But I'm glad i see that I've made a decent choice when i purchased the original. I love it! People love it on me as well. I smelled a sample of the green colored bottle and i like that one too. Smells more summer worthy to me! Nice video. 🙂

@@AGentlemansJourney77 the pleasure is all mine. Its almost summer here in Southern Africa but we still have the odd cold and rainy day every second week. I use those days to wear something warm, heavy and spicy to the office as far as fragrances. At the moment my go to is Spicebomb Extreme. I am still yet to wear it on a date though as I only got it three weeks ago.
@@muzim8931 Its turning autumn here shortly here in Canada thankfully. I prefer my summer fresh fragrances but I'm so over the heat and humidity. Just a few more weeks and it'll be more to my likening. Nice to see someone from South Africa. I've always wanted to go there because of the beauty of the landscape. I work with a few guys from South Africa as well. Good bunch of people.
@@AGentlemansJourney77 just a minor correction, I am located in Southern Africa more specifically Swaziland, right next door to South Africa. Think of it like New York and New Jersey just that Swaziland and South Africa are separated by a border as they are 2 separate countries. On another note, this summer I plan on picking up a cheapie, currently wearing Nautica Voyage these days and D and G Light Blue Intense.
@@muzim8931 I know my geography and I knew where Swaziland is. I've excelled in that topic in school...pretty much the only school subject I did well hahahaha. And you cannot go wrong with those fragrances for summer.
You said that both are winter fragrances, but of reviewers have stated that the original Spicebomb is year round. Your opinion?
Thanks for watching and I stand by my opinion. If you want to wear it in the summer that's up to you but I would suggest just 1 spray to see how you feel. I first tried this in the summer of 2012 and I didn't touch it for years later. Its too spicy for the summer months in my opinion.

I like my warm apple pie too...iffff ya know what I mean. 🤣 Incidentally, one of the first clones I ever picked up was Lomani's Body and Soul which did a great job of merging Spicebomb with Creed's Royal Oud. But you could get that synthetic grapefruit poppin' right off of the atomizer. Very obvious and still one of my most complimented scents of all time.
Both are so good but I prefer the extreme more.

I honestly don't know. I've never heard of it being reformulated neither. Sorry.
@@AGentlemansJourney77 yh from what alot off people are saying got reformulated and is not a spicebomb anymore is now a water bomb I think fragrance manafuctions do it to save money and to get people buying once alot off people have tried it and its been out a while then they will weakening it and people with not much knowledge in the fragrance community think here buying the same performing fragrance they did a a few when they cleary ent people need to realise this and spread the word so company's would stop doing this Evan make something good or don't bother atall
