Hiroyuki Sawano is the one in the piano and composed the osts for S1-S3. And those who sang are the real ones as well.
if i'm not wrong, the guy on the synth composed for S4+
@@zoisekai Yeah, He is Kohta Yamamoto ( Composer of Ashes on Fire, etc )
That’s not Hiroyuki sawano, that’s bertholt xD
@@zoisekai yes it's Kohta Yamamoto
Hiroyuki sawano is not just composer,he is music director
This isn't a cover of the songs, this is the actual composer and musicians that performed the songs. Genuinely some of the best live music I've ever heard! Also you both probably already know by now but the reason The Rumbling wasn't in this is because this suite was released way before season 4 was in development if I'm not mistaken.
It was also an intro song. They’re only doing songs on the soundtracks
@@krazy4pizza154I know that already
@@ItsMeSuper Ok. Just felt like adding on
If you mean Rumbling (opening) it would never be here. Its a fun song, but could never be placed on the same level of real music.
@@unwisethefox8808 “ReAl MuSiC” ??? All music is real music
5:52 titan’s transformation theme song
9:22 Erwin’s speeches during fights against Beast titan
11:43 Kenny’s theme song when he fights against Levi on rooftop
14:13 Reiner & Bertholt’s first transformation theme song
17:40 Levi's OVA
15:47 Mikasa's "I'm Sorry Eren, I'm not gonna give up anymore, cause if I give up this mempries of you die with me"
or something like that..
best episode for me of the entire show😅 Season 1 Episode 7
20:21 apple seed
-Bertholts realization about the world being cruel and his last transformation at shiganshina
Thanks for someone to actually correctly explain each song to them 🤣😭
@@hikskrchi1828 exactly
Eliana is a musical singer. She is half Japanese and Brazilian. So pride of her.
Jetstream Eliana !
Opa, não sabia que ela era BR, mais orgulho ainda dela.
As opposed to aeronautical singer?
caraca não sabia que ela era br
musical singer kkkkkkkk errou feio errou rude
She is singing in german, but for native speakers it is hard to understand she got quite the accent. Her voice makes up for it though this gives me chills so many years later..
Never learned German myself, but heard from a German friend in HS (born in American, heavy German DNA/lineage) that learning German is a nightmare and he hated every moment of that class lol. She makes it sound beautiful, I dunno if it is naturally beautiful but she makes it sound beautiful that is for sure.
what also makes it harder to understand is that this was obviously composed by non native speakers and they seperate the syllables in a way germans never would cause it makes the word sound wrong or weird, plus some vocabulary choices are also questionable but at the end of the day it doesn't matter cause this OST slaps so hard
Germans should learn from japanese how to pronounce their language. Same with dutch. That will eliminate disgusting guttural sounds from the languages.
It's not hate, just a fact xD
What a glorious explanation ! That is the feeling , to me at least.
The last song, Apple Seed, has English lyrics. A lot of English speakers don't realize it's in English. Same phenomenon.
20:32 The last song is Bertholdt's theme in the battle for the return of Shiganshina.
"Old Man Please Remember Me" that part talks about his sick father, waiting in Marley, but sadly he died because the Marley government stopped giving him cancer treatment upon finding out they lost the Colossal. "Duty chains us, our demons haunt us"... "Like the smell of her hair"... in that part he refers to Annie, he could never tell her how he felt about her.
Okay just make me cry why don't you
I love Berthold so much 😭
@@paannadia8064 Me too 🥺❤
That last transformation makes me cry every time.
I never actually realized this was about bertholdt. I knew it played during that scene but wow. This show drops new stuff on you when you think you know everything. Thank you for that.
Imagine seeing this live. That first singer (her name is Eliana) was a beast! It's also a good choice they used again the first song (Attack Titan) in the last episode of this season's. It's like a tribute to the first season.
I would kill to attend a live concert with them
@@masterludovicus802 they hype the audience would feel hearing that first song. It's like a battle cry.
They’ve done several performances in Japan over the past few years, people there are so lucky anime composers regularly do shows there 😭
The first singer is called Eliana Silva, she is Brazilian and Japanese and yes, she is the original singer of the song.
(Yes, she was singing in German)
Hiroyuki Sawano is the main composer of Aot's first season soundtracks until the end of the third season. The fourth season “The Final Season”, put composer Kohta Yamamoto, a disciple of Sawano, to make the soundtracks.
Sawano still participates a little in the composition of the songs in the fourth season, but who does most of the music now is Kohta Yamamoto.
She is so pretty and has insane talent!!!! Props to her skill
Ahh, bem que eu achei a trilha da S4 diferente e ligeiramente inferior as outras, não foi o mestre quem fez.
BRASSIILLLLLLLLLL
AOT has a top 5 all-time best anime ost, it shouldn't even be an argument.
it is an argument because AOT has the best OST
@@jmon24ify fair enough😂
@@Johan_Liebert12AOT OST > bleach OST, pretty easily
All time ost generally
@@Johan_Liebert12 bleach never won anything. Aot wins prices for best soundtracks even in Classical musicalcommuinity every year.
You have no idea how happy I am to see you guys listening to this. Hiroyuki Sawano is the pianist and composed the OST's for Attack on Titan from S1 through S3. Everybody who sang here are the ones in the Anime as well. These are the real ones.
14:29 I always get goosebumps whenever I hear this. The song is called “YouSeeBIGGIRL/T:T” and it was played during Reiner and Bertholdt’s reveal and transformation in Season 2 Episode 6. It’s a musical masterpiece and yes, it’s sung in German.
The pianist behind is the GOAT Hiroyuki, you really need to check out 86 album by him..
Voices of the chord from that album is crazy
@@invisible7355 i know right, that's why I'm suggesting them..
They should watch 86 for sure!!!! Masterpiece!!!
:O wow, eighty six?? serious?
@Invisible Voices of the chord, Avid, Lilas, and even Hands up to the Sky all banger tracks but especially Voices of the chord and Avid literally SS tier tracks
6:28 yes, the whole song is in German... if you don't know, AoT is inspired in Germany.
That’s cool I always assumed it was japanese
If yo read the subtitles it’s so mindblowing how many secrets are there 👀 every single song, not just the orchestal, but the whole ost 🙌
Yeah, they are the original musicians who made AoT OST. Hiroyuki Sawano (the pianist) is the composer. But here they are making a kind of "live" performance that sounds almost exactly like the studio versions.
If I would established my own independent state, I definitely gonna hire Hiroyuki Sawano to compose my national anthem
SHINSOU SASEGAYO!
14:13 is when Reiner and Bert transform into their Titans for the first time! If you watch that scene again, it's just amazing.
14:13 still brings tears to my eyes, the emotion from this track and this moment is beyond insane
😝
"You damn traitor!!"
soooo happy to see ya'll listen to this! its freaking amazing
Also yes man in the piano is the one who brought this whole project together and the singers used are the original singers from the anime.
They are not cover songs. They are the original singers and producers. Hiroyuki Sawano made most of the bgm and osts of AOT.
Its so funny that you're reacting to this, I just heard it for the first time like 3 days ago and have been BUMPING it nonstop!! I think the first song is my favorite, her voice is so amazing, and it just takes me back to all of the scenes.
Hiroyuki Sawano is the composer and the guy playing the piano
Sawano is one the BEST compositores in general in the world is Goat
16:20 ON POINT Michelle ! its for the first time played when Mikasa was about to give up when Eren was still dead eaten by the Titan, and Mikasa fell to the ground and was about to be grabbed by a titan and she suddenly by instinct keep fighting and apologize to dead Eren, because Eren wouldn't want her to give up and also only if She keep fighting and living, then she will be able to keep remembering Eren, That is indeed the sound of HOPE.
16:40 Ron is also correct, this was played in the outro finale of season 1-2 I think, when they zoom in beyond the Grassland and for the first time semi-revealed the Beast Titan's Shifter human form.
PS :
the other time it was played was during the intro of Levi's OAD No Regrets, and indeed it was some kind of the embodiment of Hope for Levi and his Underground Team to someday reach and live on above ground.
It's probably been used several times in the show, but for me I will always associate it with Sasha's GOAT moment in S2E2 when she fights the Titan by herself with the bow and arrows. (Probably because I watched S2 before S1 ... yeah I messed up 😅)
@@jlilley73 WHAT
@@ilsrzz135 They were having a marathon of S2 on Cartoon Network and I was really curious about the show, so I watched (didn't have any streaming subscriptions back then). I mean, I knew it was S2 when I watched. Didn't know it would be so serialized! It was a lot of fun even though a lot of it went over my head 😆
@@jlilley73 well at least u enjoyed it either way 😂
nah isnt it from S1E3 when Reiner and Berthold is walking with Eren up a hill at night to look at the lake? Its when Eren was struggling with his ODM gear and Reiner was giving him advice.
18:00 crazy how music conveys a feeling so well that you could describe the scene its played. Its played for example at the ending of season 2, when erwin speaks about the revelation that titans are humans and that that knowledge is another a step towards the truth. And that they hope to break down the wall hiding the truth someday.
Sawano is an amazing composer, I love how puts in metal/electronic and pop elements into his pieces. I feel that artist who compose for anime and video games get overlooked, but they're creating music in the hardest genres imo.. These songs hit you emotionally, but they have to also not become annoying or boring since they're in so many episodes/hours of the medium. Watch the live ones infront of an audience, its insanely fucking cool.
This is a project for the producer Hiroyuki Sawano (the guy on piano) of some of AoT osts from S1 - S3 and these are the real singers for sure, the first lady sang in German, second lady in English, third lady in German and the duo in English. And these osts one of the most famous osts for the show:
attack on Titan wmid
Before lights out
K2-
YouSeeBigGirl (Reiner & bertholdt transformation S2 ep6)

This is my first video i’ve seen of yours and I LOVE both of your energy’s!! 🤍 so glad you reacted to this
Thank you for this comment! Glad you found us! 🥰🙏🏼
This is the best and Peak Version.
Sing is on point, on Anime we can't hear well.
And the effort+passion they put in this were just amazing.
Omg I love this suite! All time favorite hands down
I am so happy all of my favorite reactions channels have checked out this video 😍. This will forever be a masterpiece. ❤
Never actually expected you guys would actually listen to this legendary music performance. So happy to know you watched it!
Great reaction and really helps you appreciate all the talent that goes into a series as good as Attack on Titan.
Top tier Reaction exactly what I wanted to see at the bits I also get hyped for 🙌🏻🙌🏻
AOT has such beautiful soundtracks makes me wanna cry
nice to meet you
When I watched Sawano-san's video, I found you guys.
The music he makes is a fusion of modern electric and traditional instruments at a high level, so listening to it gives me goosebumps.
from Japan
Thanks for reacting, crazy to think this is anime music.. This stuff is incredible
You guys were so adorable. Oopsie there with that “fact” 🤣👏
17:54 Exactly, this is a song that gives you hope and plays in season 2 finale in the last minute after Levi asks Erwin why he is smiling, and Erwin answers "we are one step closer to the truth"
hiroyuki sawano is the person on the piano and he is a well respected componist in the scene. hes a legend. its great that they got him for this show. best show ever
Their reaction just shows how everyone is just hyped about the OPs and EDs of animes but no one remembers or understands how important OSTs are which make the show infinitely times more amazing while watching. Feels sad to know that but it's personal preference anyway :P Nice reaction!
Yes and the guy on Piano who's wearing the white shirt is the god himself who composed and directed entire OSTs from season 1 to 3. Hiroyuki Sawano.
Like genuinely felt sad when they couldn't recognize YOUSEEBIGGIRL/T:T :(
Its like they didn't even watched the show lol
@@ezequiel8203 no no it's probably just that since they watch so many animes they probably can't obsess over one of them, that's totally understandable. And like i said its personal preference, even i love all the OPs and EDs but I'm more of OST kinda guy so i remember every one of them from every anime i watch but I can't expect same from others :D
I just felt really bad while watching so i commented that.
This suite is a sequence of 4 "Attack on Titan" songs written by Hiroyuki Sawano (he is playing the piano). He is one of my favourite composers, his songs are sang in japanese, english and german (the first song is fully german). The vocalist of the first song is Eliana, daughter of brazilian father and japanese mother.
I gotta agree this and the rumbling are my favorite songs. I listen to these alot
10:20 that's when Levi beat up Zeke in Episode 14 of S4.
bruh, they messed up all the themes
The sheer....
*FUCKING*!!
*POWER* !!!!!!!!
of each and every single note,
THE flexibility, THE control of their vocal chords
The passion BURNING of the musicians as much or even more intensely than fangirls over Levi ildly existin man, I could go on forever 11/10
A master of music! Hiroyuki Sawano! One of my favorite songs of all time was created by this man!
17:04
this ost is called "Counterattack Mankind" and its from season 1
one of the best osts ever created
and for the curious ones, this is called Symphonicsuite also called Apple seed 20:45
Finally, you react to this masterpiece! ❤️
When I do my 1 hr cardio its "Tevvez-glimmer of hope" on repeat. Or "there is no tomorrow! x warning- mc orsen".
So i feel you Ron 😅😅
There are also honorable mentions of Hiroyuki Sawano OST like the Attack D and Call of Silence too. Nice reaction 😁
6:07 no she isn't this the part two version of ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn, the original is by Mika Kobayashi
6:26 and yes she is singing in German.
6:44 Her name is Eliana She is the second version singer of Main ost name "ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn "
BTW back in 2014 Attack on Titan exploded SO HARD & was so popular that they did actually perform a concert of this .
Even had a script reading by the voice actors between the music.
The Attack on Titan Hype was INSANE
6:54 the guy on the piano is the director hiroyuki sawano. And yes they all are the og singers
Hiroyuki is the guy on the Piano. He composes alot of other anime songs as well, like from Gundam, Seven Deadly Sins, etc
there are two similar compositions. 3:22 This is a composition from season 3, here she is a soloist. And in the composition of season 1 and in season 4 of episode 28 , another soloist is Mika Kobayashi
So to translate “the fidget spinner” is “its that the destroyer, or is it our savior” but in German. The lyrics are fucking wild 👌
Sawano is the composer of many anime and games theme songs
Vuelvo a buscar uno de mis videos favoritos y encuentro una reacción vuestra, ,i culpa por no haberlo visto antes, gracias!!!
Hiroyuki is the goat bring so much emotion on all his ost/song
18:18 this song was used during Sasha having to run until sundown, also the end of Season 2 when we see all the characters of the scout regiment leading into us seeing the beast titan's controller, zeke
The song that you were saying it gives a feeling of hope thats like when eren mikasa and armin was in class learning how to kill a titan if you guys remember correctly and it also played when eren first transform into a titan and defeat all titans so his friends could escape freely after jean and marco i think was talking at the HQ
Lol, they are so confused, I love it.
I’ve been waiting for this
First time hearing this song in 15:58 my brain processing, bringing me back to season 1 when the first time reiner and berthold bring Eren to that hill at night or dawn (i remember when Reiner asked Eren what's his goal/dream or something, and Eren said that he want to kill all those titans), and also showing that lake scene... so pretty...
For my perspective, in this Hiroyuki Sawano Project emU, all the songs are from 3 seasons (which is all the OST are created by Hiroyuki sawano himself, the guy in white shirt and playing piano), and mostly from season 3, bcs when i checked again to the album, that's matching, except the YouSeeBigGirl one and the one that i mention before (but at the ending of the episode from season 3, they're using the same song but in different version).
That song, "K2-" are indeed Kenny's Theme Song, from Episode 1 of season 3. Then they use it again in season 4 "but different version", when Levi vs Zeke inside the forest and Levi's comrades explodes and become titans, (in K2- there's no lyrics, only instruments, but K21, there's a rapper and more like live band than K2-).
P.S: sorry for long explaination and wrong grammar bcs english isn't my first languange
Once again, I was in tears to see you guys in awe at the same talent and performance that I found very very amazing, also relating it to the same great animé and its scenes that I love. Really cool reaction video.
“To what scene?” @18:29 this song played at the very end of season two, right before we first see the Beast Titan’s human form. It is also the song that played after Sasha rescued Kaya and reunited with her father S2E3
If I could choose only one UA-cam video to watch forever it would be this Aot suite
The 1st time I watched this, I was reminded of the anxiety, hyped energy and sadness/trauma this show has given me. 1 of my older brothers really likes watching AoT too, when I showed him this his absolute fave is the 1st song. And I enjoy teasing him by saying "REINER!". And my absolute go to is the 4th song, her haunting vocals reminds me of Amy Lee from Evanescence. The main line/scene that pops in my head is when Eren calls Reiner and Bert Traitors while transforming.
16:33 Counterattack Mankind is a soundtrack song, I think it first played in Season 1 when Keith Shadis made Sasha run for eating a potato. It’s probably most memorable from Season 3, it plays when Armin figures out how to defeat the colossal in the episode “hero”
The one you didnt know where it was played is called coutnerattack mankind. Its played in scenes they get their hope back. For example season 2 last episode or season 1 when mikasa gets her hope beack and wants to fight(must be at episode 7 or 8). Or when Sasha in season 2 fought the titan when she safed the girl of her village.
Yess! The reaction was amazing!
6:37, you guys didn't notice, but she went higher pitch here (6 levels) than the song used for the show (5 levels)
I like this type of videos, would love to see more reactions to anime music from you :)
Goosebumps, every time....
most of those songs are german and as a german it's kind of hard to understand because of their accent but it's amazing how they are/were able to learn such a difficult language in such a short amount of time!!
they are Japanese yes?
These songs are all ost, not Op and Endings songs. Mostly these songs were played in the first and second seasons.
I watch this suite every couple of months it’s absolutely incredible. Im one of those people who can pinpoint the scenes these songs are in 😂 Hiroyuki sawano is the guy on the piano who composed the songs for season 1-3 and the guy on the synth is Kohta Yamamoto who composed season 4 with Hiroyuki. Hiroyuki is a genius. His music is phenomenal.
A lot of the songs for AoT are in German because the place it’s set in is based on a real place in Germany called Noerdlingen where it’s a medieval town surrounded by huge walls.
I love that it is the original singers for these songs as well however, the first song was originally sung by Mika Kobayashi and then for season 3 it was the girl in this video.
The song you mentioned where you thought it was when reiner and Bertholdt revealed themselves is the Levi and Kenny chase scene ❤️ and the instrumental which you thought was an outro is used quite a lot throughout the show. It’s used quite a lot with the scouts as well when Erwin is commanding them. It’s called counter attack on mankind
A lot of the openings for AoT were done by Linked Horizon and some of their videos performing the openings live are insane.
All real guys, and the man on the piano is Sawano-sensei himself, the composer of this masterpiece. What a great piece of work! Enjoy friends.
For me 15:47 is the best attack on titan OST. It's called Counterattack Mankind.
It was played on episode 5 when Mikasa loses hope and also numerous time during Season 1 and 2
The song that plays at 15:52 is from the season 2 episode 12 ending scene
Ron you are totally right ...16:50 it is the music from the end scene of second season
We have been waiting for this reaction video since the start of that season, and now just wait till you listen to it in the car for the next few months lol
Hiroyukis the one on the piano , in white, whilst everyones in black. As hes the piano, lead composer thru the act and yes, he composed all the songs together played.
Best comments on that video. “What bertholdt doing on the piano?” “Plot twist. Grisha is the violinist.” 😂
I like how they kept thinking the songs were in completely different parts of the show 😂
When Aaron transformed after being impaled underground, when the lightning came down, was amazing
17:58 "this is what hope sounds like"
🤣
Now that woman has some beastly pipes!!! I've got goosebumps
Hiroyuki Sawano is the pianist in this video. He is the main composer of these OSTs.
you guys should listen to a hiroyuki sawano compilation as he has composed amazing soundtracks for a myriad different anime. He is probably the most renown composer in the industry
The instrumental song that you were struggling to place was played at the end of the last episode of season 2 when the camera was zooming over the territory and walls, ending at the wall where that character said "Not yet, eh?"
10:28 ON POINT MICHELLE! He is, and he's amazing!
You guys are so funny😂😂😂😂 11:15 had me crying
That cello at the end of 'fidget spinner' song so gooood
The ending moment reaction lol, we all feel the same way 😂😂
Hiroyuki Sawano also compose many songs for anime and they also good.
17:40 that kind of victorious moment was first seen in S1 when Eren's all excited that they're going to fight back against the titans and then the Colossal appears the second time. It's called CounterAttack Mankind
Sawano Hiroyuki is indeed the one playing the piano
The language of some of These Songs is indeed german and as a german i memorized all the lyrics from listening them over and over.
