Thank you so much for sharing your very interesting information on the beautiful hummingbirds and thank you so much for sharing your beautiful video 👍👍🦜🦜🐦🐦👍👍♥️♥️
I've watched a dozen humming birds and a nest of doves attack a couple of crows for trying to take the baby doves and raid the humming bird nest near it. Lasted about half an hour. The doves and the humming birds seamed to be helping each other in other ways all nesting season. I only saw the one humming bird nest but there must have been a few in the same tree. I get around 40 an hour feeding at my feeder.
When I go out to throw the Squirrels and birds peanuts the male hummingbird of the pair at out house likes to land on the opposite side of the feeder and peek around at me while he feeds
The males are indeed aggressive! They chase each other away from the feeders all the time. They don't care if we are out there, they just don't want the other males near their feeders.
Have Fed at least 4 likely 5 Hummingbird Families over the last 20 years. On my Deck, have 2 Feeders kept 12 Months of The Year, yes even through Winter ... they stay because they have Reliable Food Supply....so they breed here. Yes, :Located in US Southwest.
I moved into a new home and put a feeder up this year. Yes they are aggressive to each other. One my grandson call Jeff is very dominant over the feeder, nobody else can have any
The bird name originally was " hybrid " and the discovery name as u called the him hummingbird because the bird when was discovered their name and it's defenrion in Arabic "hummingbird=like bird" what's like bird , the bee but in bird shapes .why I said hybrid was the original name because you wont see any bird that moving their wings this fast like bee and they still have energy . They fly day and night you won't see in this size of bird .
My wife and I get a kick out of one little guy whe either perches directly above the feeder or about 10ft away in a hydrangea tree. He waits for some other humming bird to approach the feeeder or hanging baskets and he immediatly chases them away. Oh, he does allow a certain female (his mate?) to feed..
I believe I read that hummingbirds prefer to nest or maybe rest in conifer trees…it that correct? Also, I agree w/ one comment below, there seem to be less of them this season ‘2023.
My hummingbirds gang bang every chance they get 🤣🤣🤣🤣💀💀🤷🏾♀️ just kidding,,, but they are VERY TERRITORIAL… I watch them battle it out every day,,,, ADORABLE 🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️

Wow! That's teamwork!
My favorite bird....Haven't seen as many yet this year...but our neighbor cut or trimmed...hum there fav bush they always nest in...
Oh no, that's such a shame!
They are also very aggressive with each other, they chase each other away from my feeders.
THE HUMMINGBIRD IS THE MOST WARLIKE OF THE BIRD RACES.
Mine do too. I need a separate feeder for each bird.
I also observed that behavior.
Yes they can be really territorial over feeders

They're certainly territorial over their feeders!
How close should you put the feeder to the nest
According to our research, some sources say the feeder should be put thirty or so yards away from the nesting area.

Thanks for sharing! Thank you for providing a reliable food source for them 🙌

Love that he calls him Jeff 😂
How do you keep the bees away from the feeders ?
We address that here in our blog! becausetees.com/blogs/articles/how-to-keep-bees-away-from-hummingbird-feeders

Wow that’s pretty cool 🦋thanks for conveying 👍
Also, do they migrate in ‘flocks’ or alone?
Most hummingbirds migrate individually
How to attract them in backyard
We cover that here: ua-cam.com/video/pivb5OmkDAs/v-deo.html

They're certainly territorial with feeders! Super interesting that he allows one female to feed

We've heard that they prefer conifers for nesting too, particularly the Calliope Hummingbird
Sugar water does not hurt them ? Mixed in right ratio. ,of course 👍🏼
Sugar water is fine for bird feeders, our blog has more info: becausetees.com/blogs/articles/maintaining-a-bird-nectar-feeder-because-tees
Fun fact, they are the only birds with no knees! Perhaps why they can not walk too.... 🤣
Thanks for sharing! They're such fascinating birds!
The bird shown in fact #8 is not a hummingbird.
Oops! Thanks for the heads up!
