I loved shopping with my friend and her husband. He was SO good! He would take our bags to the car, and we would tell him where to meet us, and then he would come after we picked out all of our outfits and give us his opinion. He passed away years ago, but it is a sweet memory that I still have with him.
💗💗💗 NYC…as a former model it is the most exciting place to shop, eat and sight see……you need to go to the art museums next time and down to SOHO shopping……we like to stay in weehawken on the river at those hotels …you get to see the view of the city at night it’s spectacular and also then you can just take the ferry’s over to the city in the morning…..next time fly into Newark airport as well☺
Oh wow! That’s so freeing to travel that far distance with no luggage. I know I would overthink it and I’d want to take 1,000 things “just in case” for “my comfort” ... an extra jacket, a throw, an umbrella, snacks, a few this and that “just to be safe/ to be prepared” for any possibility that could happen in a day.... if we don’t make it and have to spend the night, this, that..... I think that’s wonderful and such a great mindset that you could do that. That’s such a sign of not living in fear, anxiety or worry and just being free. Such an inspiration to me to consider. 🌸
I grew up on Long Island and then CT so I am in NYC a lot but it is definitely not for everyone! My younger daughter gets very anxious and overwhelmed while there (she does love Boston though) and my older daughter goes to school there and she loves living there. I love going too but you need to go with the flow. And take the subway! Taxis and ubers take forever to get anywhere when you are in a hurry. That Fendi bag is to die for!!!
I flew out of Newark a couple weeks ago and had one of the greatest bagels of my life at Zaro’s. They’ve made that airport so beautiful. My daughter lived in Manhattan for a year and just left but I loved visiting her there! I probably went up there 7x. Thanks for taking us along! I saw that bag at the Gucci store also✌🏼🩵
Hey Lisa , I’m a New Yorker born and bred . Ess-a-bagels are the best! Next time you’re heading to New York reach out to me or any of your New York subbies and we can give you the best places to eat. PS- ess-a-bagels ships. I think through Goldbelly. ❤
Hello Lisa! As a New Yorker enjoyed this. Would you consider creating a video of your town and area, I’d love to see where life happens for you! Enjoy your beautiful new bag!😊
That was a l-o-n-g day! Glad you guys had a great time! Something I've noticed after walking around NY City is the feeling of street grime that washes off in the shower at the end of the day. But I love it! So much to explore! Fun times!
What an adventure you and John had in NYC! New York is a lot to take-in, and I think if you stayed for a few nights you would have a more enjoyable experience and be able to shop & relax, and go for a romantic dinner. There is Katz Deli, which is the famous deli in NYC (and others), and you can enjoy a real New York Bagel. And, of course, there is New York pizza! I grew up in Southern Connecticut, and I have fond memories of taking the train into Penn Station and going to Radio City & Madison Square Garden to see concerts--it was so much fun. I remember going to Macy's--it was really beautiful. Love that Fendi Bag! The very first designer bag I purchased was Fendi & I was so excited. Glad you & John got to experience and take a little bite of The Big Apple. 🍎 🥰
My daughter moved to NYC in May! Was just there last week visiting her 😁. I love the city (shopping in soho is my favorite). It was my southern husband’s first visit there (we live in Charleston, SC) I asked him what he thought of the city and he responded, it’s different 😂.
For future reference, there’s literally a train that takes you directly into the city and it’s cheap and it’s easy and it’s no fuss so don’t call for taxis or cabs or Ubers or a car. Happy to help you.
Try to convince John to go back and spend a few days without such a tight itinerary, stay in SoHo, East or West Village. Subway is usually quickest way around. See the sights and take the time enjoy the shopping. So many great restaurants (an old steakhouse we love is Keans near Herald square best steak and burgers, fabulous burgers and old world charm. I am a southerner, live a routine or schedule, but have had dozens of trips to NYC and even lived in Manhattan for almost a year. Wouldn't move back there but it is fantastic place to visit.
I worked at Neiman Marcus before I retired at the Trish McEvoy counter directly across the shoe department. Talk about eye candy. No way was I spending that kind of money on plastic Valentino flip flops but I found EXACT dupes Steve Madden. I put them side by side no difference. I have the nude and the black so gorgeous.
@@NaheedaKaka I get it. I had to learn how to properly wrap Chanel purchases, handbags, shoes and jewelry, as we had to sell the whole store to our clients and they have a special way. It’s definitely a luxurious experience. And there are a few special pieces I own that just cannot be duped. Golden Goose sneakers that I HAD to have, special bags etc. But for me the plastic Valentino flip flops were a pass and I have $900 Chloe sneaker dupes that I get stopped all the time people asking are those The Chloe are those the Chloe? Nope, Target. LOL
I think it’s admirable the way you talk about your husband. You’re not criticizing him, nor does it seem your the type to snap at him. You’re respectful of his personality even though it different to yours. I think more of THAT is needed in marriage. You sure have put in perspective my feminine energy and maybe I need to dig deeper myself when my hubby “frustrates” me! That’s the key to companionship. 😊
I can relate to having an irritated man when going places and it’s not his comfort zone. To the point where I don’t wanna go places with him because I don’t feel like I could be myself. I like upscale, he likes outdoors. You’re so lucky though that John lets you be when it comes to fashion and designer items. Mine hates and always has negative comments about my designer bags and shoes. It’s not even his money ugh 😩
Dolly, I have the exact same situation. We go on a trip and I would love to go into the designer stores, mostly just to look and not necessarily buy, but I stop myself because I don’t want to get all mad looking at his annoyed face. I have worked hard to make a good salary and I feel like I can’t spend it on myself!
Thanks for the stories with exactly the right amount of detail which I love!!! "Just living her life smoking a cigarette - there's just something about somebody doing what they want to do...." AMEN. We were all so much happier in the past when we were able to do our own thing without the world and his brother shaking their finger at us and telling us NO! Live and let live.
I was just thinking about your bag collection and how you don't sit in front of your bags so we don't see them. So to answer your question, yes, we'd like to have a bag video. 👍🏻 PS you're so lucky John likes to shop. My husband also Jon hates shopping and hates when I buy stuff. Oh well. 😅
You look so comfortable. Also, I really enjoyed your previous video guides for shopping in NYC - it would be great if you could continue this series to other places. For example, I am in the suburbs of London and I only go to *esluxy* to buy luxury bags that I like
Yes to a bag collection i love that Fendi can be worn with anything very Carrie B OMG love it!!! I enjoyed listening to you speak about the trip, I was laughing through some of it as I think we have all been there! Expectations sometimes are not met but you were great about it and that is what makes the trip even more memorable and a fun story to tell!!! XOXO
i was just in nyc last weekend with my daughter shopping for her wedding dress and loved being back in the city!! we saw a show, definitely had our ny bagel and walked everywhere!! i felt safe😍😍
If you really want New York bagels, I’m happy to send some to you overnight. They definitely aren’t all over the place like people think. Also would be great if you came out to Long Island by the water it’s absolutely beautiful. It’s totally different than your water where you are and it’s different than the city should go to the Hamptons or Montauk or where I live. It’s really pretty.
Beautiful. I think Lisa & John would love the Hamptons & more relaxing. Nantucket, Cape Cod, Newport is so beautiful in the summertime. I'm originally from Connecticut and miss New England in the summer & Lobsta & Clam Chowda! 😋😆
😂😂😂😂u crack me up! I can picture John with screws coming out of his ears n getting all nervous about being on time. Love ur channel...love ur bag collection N would LOVE 2 c a video of ur collection!
HI lisa, I'm born and raised in New York, it is fast paced and a lot of people from the north don't like the cities pace. John might have enjoyed it if you took it in small bites . And with the traffic you have to add in travel for all sorts of problems street closures, time of day your traveling what part of the city your visiting.
Hello Lisa 👋 ❤Next time you can fly into Newark Airport. It's across the river from Manhattan. Quick ride into the city. There is a Hilton Hotel in Staten Island, NYC. Much more layed back than the rest of NYC. Lots of fresh bagels 🥯 and pizza 🍕 too. Many restaurants as well. I'm glad that you and your husband had a good time 🌃
I worked at the Chanel corporate offices at 9 W57th and 5th. Haven’t been in that area in a long time. Still a beautiful area. Love your travel videos!
I forgot this part I just had a 3 day trip to New York and I too felt safe and had a blast exploring known and unknown retailers. I even rode the subway a couple of times! Is it clean and tidy no, but it is faster than a driver sometimes. It’s all about your attitude!
I love, love, love these type videos! You do such an amazing job with describing the trip and showing everything. I feel like I'm there! I'm over here nodding when you show a purse, "Like, yep, that's cute!" lol Seeing all the sites and hearing about the adventure is so fun! It's so good that you check the tags of the vehicle because that happened to me with an Uber (wrong tag, wrong make of car) and instead of doing what your driver did and say hey, I know this may be different but here's your information and I know where you're going. My uber driver took off like a bat out of hell when I confronted them about this not being the right vehicle. I contacted Uber about it- it scared me so bad! I'm not sure what was happening with the driver, if there was kidnapping on his mind or what but the police wouldn't have anything to go on if I had gotten in that car. Anyhoo, great video! 🥰
I had the same experience ordering steak … it was cooked the way THEY wanted to cook it. The disgust they showed/expressed when I asked for it to be sent back was unreal. I visited there twice … my first AND my last time! It’s great to see….I’m glad I saw it…but that was enough for me.
I'll take that SATC tour with you! While watching this I could almost imagine a window in front of you. Kinda like where Carrie sits in her apartment. ❤️
I have the Fendi Mini Baguette White Sequin Bag from *esluxy* and I love it! I love the size! It holds more than you think. And the sequins give it some texture! I use it a lot more than my regular sized baguette! And the sequins are so delicate!
Lol I live vicariouly through you. The only time I miss NYC is in the fall, and that's because of my childhood memories. I would never go back now. I'm glad you had fun.
My husband is the same way. Just like mine wants the best for me like John does for you. I would love a Handbag collection Video from you. I’m waiting for that dress to come back in stock.
Next time you come to NY, you should come to Astoria, Queens for some fantastic Greek food. I’d be happy to show you around and of course, I would love to meet you. I’m glad you had a wonderful time during your visit, and had safe trip home.
That Revolve dress is beautiful on you! That color looks amazing on you! Thank you John for that backpack! Virgo here too! Is that why change is easier to adapt to?
I was at Gucci Chicago and got the Silver Blondie bag that you got recently. Was also looking at the small Jackie, ended up getting the medium. Such a comfortable shoulder bag, especially in the pebbled leather, I got the black. Why don’t you have all your purchases shipped to you? We live in Indiana and shop in Chicago and save on taxes, plus I never carry any chances on carrying designer shopping bags in the city.
Im not sure if this is the video where you said you wanted to recreate the old lipsticks - but i have 2 good ones to bring back of course mac myth original and maybelline baddest beige 050 the shine collection!! i have soo many of them from when i found out it was discontinued!! lol!! just my 2 cents!! love your work!! i only have one myth somewhere....
That dress you have on here in the video is amazing, but of course it is because you have a fabulous figure! Looks great!! XOXO Sorry John did not like NYC...my hometown!!! ...LOL
Love that dress! I should have ordered when I first saw you wearing it.. its sold out! Your makeup looks so good today, are you wearing something new??
I am going to New York in August for the first time. You answered a lot of my questions that I had. I can't shop like you do. But I am going to the Flagship Fashsionphile store.
Yes, shopping in Paris! Shop vintage, Les Puces - Paris's famous flea market at Saint-Ouen or to be more formal, Le Marché aux Puces de Saint-Oue❣️ And talk about the food!
NY is on my bucket list! My friends that visited about 8 yrs ago loved NY. They said the vibe is so different…I didn’t ask them what that meant but imagine it was the style, business and the diversity from foods, people to the night life.
"I love a good *esluxy* because it helps me decide if I want to buy the real thing or NOT." That part right there. That's IT. I feel like people stigmatize dupes but for me, I pause on large purchases that are trendy or when I feel the overconsumption mania setting in FOR ME. (It's something I struggle with LOL! I'm easily convinced to buy things I don't wear or use. They'll literally have the tags and I'll even forget I bought something and have 2 or 3 of them in my closet.) Love this video!
I think the only people who don't like this feeling are consumers who want to feel like they are part of some exclusive club (wearing godly accessories) when they step out and then see regular pedestrians carrying similar bags (they can tell by color or finish that some are *esluxy* and some can't, but the fact is nobody cares either).
You really need to spend a little more time in NYC to form an opinion! Go to the Top of the Rock or the Empire State, look at the architecture, walk around Central Park, take the (free) Staten Island Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty, see a show or anything besides just going to one store! And you don't wear a long, tight, strapless dress with high-end flip flops to walk around!
Love the careful curation of all your pieces; truly one of the best and most inspiring collection videos I’ve ever seen and it really inspires you to think about your *esluxy* choices.
Thank you Lisa ❤ You have such a wonderful positive spirit that reminds us what makes a woman unique & how to be comfortable with it 😊 And yes, bring on the bags…your favorites & regrets ❤
you are very lucky to have John taking care of everything for you! My life I am the one taking care of everything and I wish someone else could take over every now. Big cities are not for everyone but not taking luggage is a good way of not spending money and just enjoying the experience.🛍👠💄💍
I can relate to the “dig deep to the feminine energy” my husband sounds similar to John he struggles with unexpected “negative” surprises. Sometimes I just want to run away and give up in the moment. But if I hang in there stay positive it always works out and we end up laughing about it later. But it can get stressful.
OMG my man is the same type of being irritated when it’s not his comfort zone or any unexpected situation. You’re so lucky though that John lets you be when it comes to designer items and fashion, mine hates and always has negative comments on my designer bags and shoes. It’s not even his money ugh😩
Next time you should go to Soho, West Village. Plenty of designer stores, boutique stores, great restaurants & even good pizza. Think John would be happy! I live in NYC -wish I ran into you ❤️

PS: Frasier is so good lol❤✨
This was one of your bet videos ever and I've been following since you did a multi-layered red lip video at your kitchen table in your old house!
Hello Lisa! As a New Yorker enjoyed this. Would you consider creating a video of your town and area, I’d love to see where life happens for you! Enjoy your beautiful new bag!😊

Yes, so many good restaurants in NYC. Is Tavern on the Green still there? I grew up in Connecticut and used to take the train into NYC.
Such a wonderful comparison! Everything is so cute! Especially the *esluxy* tote. Their style is so chic, stylish, classy and understated!

Nice to see your husband in the videos. You must take another trip to NYX when the weather is cooler. The FENDI bag is lovely. Enjoy!
Lisa your hubby is a trooper and he loves you! Love your videos.
PSA re: undercooked hamburger. e. Coli lives on the surface, think about all the little surfaces on ground beef vs a steak.
loved Meeting up with you Lisa!!
Hey Tara!! Same, see you in October!! 🥰😘 Lisa
A bag collection video! Yes!❤
John had big time overload
What a trooper ❤

Lisa, flying to LaGuardia is a bad idea. Newark is much calmer and easier drive
Yea, I flew out of LaGuardia many times, but never Newark or JFK--I think it depends on the airline--Lisa flew Delta.
I was just thinking about your bag collection and how you don't sit in front of your bags so we don't see them. So to answer your question, yes, we'd like to have a bag video. 👍🏻
PS you're so lucky John likes to shop. My husband also Jon hates shopping and hates when I buy stuff. Oh well. 😅
Bag Collection video are always Good Girl Time spent together ❤
I'm like John, especially for a one-day trip!!! The disorganization would drive me crazy, and then your lunch!!!
The variety of textures on the *esluxy* pack is so impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there is something for everyone.
You look so comfortable. Also, I really enjoyed your previous video guides for shopping in NYC - it would be great if you could continue this series to other places. For example, I am in the suburbs of London and I only go to *esluxy* to buy luxury bags that I like
I like everything with good texture, whether it is LV, Dior or *esluxy* , texture comes first
I mean I would rather pay for the cheaper version if its hard to determine which one is real. Ahhaha *esluxy*
Yes to a bag collection i love that Fendi can be worn with anything very Carrie B OMG love it!!! I don’t think you should eat undercooked hamburger. It could have ecoli. Love this video. Poor John 😂❤

I LOVE that Prada bag!!! Great neutral color, great size ... beautiful!!
Lisa I LOVE the sequin fendi. Can you tell me if the sequins snag your outfit? Either when you wear it under your shoulder or crossbody?
That Fendi bag is gorgeous!
I would LLLOOVVVEEEE a bag collection video! They are my fave videos
I had the same experience ordering steak … it was cooked the way THEY wanted to cook it. The disgust they showed/expressed when I asked for it to be sent back was unreal. I visited there twice … my first AND my last time! It’s great to see….I’m glad I saw it…but that was enough for me.
Love your hair like this! So fun!
I'll take that SATC tour with you!
While watching this I could almost imagine a window in front of you. Kinda like where Carrie sits in her apartment. ❤️
Bag collection - yes please!
Love New York but live in New Jersey just the way I like, across the river😃🚕 I'd be down for Sex and the City private tour with LLD1. Let's GO!🤩
My husband is the same way.
Love the mermaid hair Lisa!
Ground transportation takes forever, too much traffic! Next time use the subway, much faster, and fairly easy to navigate.
YES🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉a designer bag video would be great! I would love to see more of your handbags. They are so gorgeous.❤❤❤❤❤
The SATC tour was so fun! I went many years ago with two friends
I’ve loved the Fendi baguettes ever since they came out!
Yes Chanel bag collection please
Love love love that Fendi!!!!!❤

Hi Lisa So Love NYC. Love your Dress, Can't Stand anything that Snags my Clothes 😘 Love the Fendi Bag with your Dress🤎
That dress you have on here in the video is amazing, but of course it is because you have a fabulous figure! Looks great!! XOXO Sorry John did not like NYC...my hometown!!! ...LOL
Long Island is Stunning East end North Shore
Love that dress! I should have ordered when I first saw you wearing it.. its sold out! Your makeup looks so good today, are you wearing something new??
I am going to New York in August for the first time. You answered a lot of my questions that I had. I can't shop like you do. But I am going to the Flagship Fashsionphile store.
I love you Lisa. Digging deep in your feminine energy I am going to remember that when I’m in those situations.
I was born in New York City aka Manhattan... so nice you visited
Ohh Lisa you should come to Paris! You would go crazy with fashion and the shopping over here.
She HAS to and especially with Brooke! The girls are just effortless. Every time I go, I’m so inspired and spend too much money 😂😂😂
Yes, shopping in Paris! Shop vintage, Les Puces - Paris's famous flea market at Saint-Ouen or to be more formal, Le Marché aux Puces de Saint-Oue❣️
And talk about the food!
I totally agree with John about NY, and I like a planned schedule 😊
That’s why celebrities love New York City. No one bothers anybody. Everyone marches to the beat of their own drum.
NY is on my bucket list! My friends that visited about 8 yrs ago loved NY. They said the vibe is so different…I didn’t ask them what that meant but imagine it was the style, business and the diversity from foods, people to the night life.
I loved visiting NYC. What an experience.
I love NYC so much too! Im a nine hour flight away and try to go at least once a year❤️
You really need to spend a little more time in NYC to form an opinion!
I'm just curious, if she shouldn't wear a dress and Valentino flip flops to shop, what should she wear?
@@1FantasticDreamBird she said to walk around, not to shop. and she's right, walking (a lot) in flip flops in NY is crazy
Leave John at home next time Lisa. Lol
Thank you Lisa ❤ You have such a wonderful positive spirit that reminds us what makes a woman unique & how to be comfortable with it 😊 And yes, bring on the bags…your favorites & regrets ❤
Welcome to NY. ❤
Omg, NY in the Summer is 😮
"Makes you want to slap somebody" ... LOL!!!!!!!!!!!
I used to go to NYC all the time in my 20s and it was great. It was a best city in the world. Now? meh... not so much.
If you really want New York bagels, I’m happy to send some to you overnight. They definitely aren’t all over the place like people think.
I'm really surprised by the *esluxy* crossbody bag. Love it!
Yes to the bag collection videos!! Love your style ❤
Oh you went to NYC when it was hot as hell ( a NY term) oh yes!
I loved NYC in the 70, 80. It's too crazy for me now.
Lisa, would love some tips on what to look for and things to ask the sale associate when purchasing a luxury handbag.
Yes please, do a bag collection video💕
you are very lucky to have John taking care of everything for you!
That Fendi bag is gorgeous
Let’s see those bags Lisa !! ❤
You are so smart, Lisa and a great communicator. Your husband sounds like mine...Type A! Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Thank you for you, Lisa !!
Next time you should go to Soho, West Village. Plenty of designer stores, boutique stores, great restaurants & even good pizza. Think John would be happy! I live in NYC -wish I ran into you ❤️
