Chris never dissapoints with his guitars especially the recliced or odd ones he gets every thing correct and the tone for this video is so raw and in your face it is one of my favourite nirvana tones. Keep it up!
its cool to see an accurate recreation of a guitar like that, so early on in the nirvana timeline and honestly an overlooked mustang of his. the history and details behind it are so cool to me. good recreation tho, thx for the demo man!

Been waiting for this video for a long time! Ive always loved the Greco Mustang. In the photos it looks like the guitar bodies grain can be seen, like its transparent brown or something. Other than that It looks great. W vid man!

I'd put a push pull to split the pickup myself, as to look closer to the original, but other than this, it's just amazing, I didn't know this guitar, looks amazing
Have you tried using external IRs for the tones to match the speakers kurt would have used? I think that would make the tones even better! Love your videos and that guitar finish is really cool
Lefty player here! I have always loved this guitar and it's DIY approach, because it illustrates so well the struggle of being a lefty Mustang fan as they are insanely rare and very expensive and worst of all is that even today there are no cheap alternatives (except for the Harley Benton one) as not even Squier makes lefty Mustangs (or Jaguars) so I kind of understand why Kurt decided to go DIY for his first Mustang as if today there aren't alternatives available I can't even imagine how hard was to get one in the late 80s - early 90s (I mean just look at In Utero Mustangs, Fender USA didn't even had lefty Mustang bodies so they had to ask Fender Japan to do them, that is how rare they are)
This was one he bought from a student at Evergreen in late 1988 for $20 and modified with a Univox humbucker and vinyl record pickguard. From the stories I always read it was an actual 60’s Fender and not a 70’s Greco like many claim, which makes sense as virtually no vintage Japanese guitars ever came in lefty, but Fender did occasionally make batches of lefties, even back in the 50’s and 60’s. His homemade Mustangs came about in early 1990, around the time he smashed this one.

This is honestly one of my favorite Bleach Era guitar (After the Hi-Fliers) Even if at its core it's just a mustang with a Soundgarden and a Hi-Flier Pickup... It's still (Like the other Bleach Era Mustangs) one of the coolest Kurt guitars Played.. At least for me
This is awesome! Thanks for the video. The pickup looks like one out of a hi flier 3 (I have a phase 1 and 3) and that would make sense if it was built out of parts and it would match the makeshift control panel. Just my thought
