1. Living a Lifestyle of Praise (Joy)
Neh 8:10 the joy of the lord is your strength
● Joy (praise) is a force, it’s not just an emotion
● Joy (praise) will help you stay strong when mountains don’t move
immediately
● Joy (praise) undergirds your faith
● My joy (praise) cannot be based on my circumstances
Phil 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always (Always is always)
Phil 1:19 And I’m going to keep that celebration going because I know how it’s going to turn out.
2. Praise Him for His Power and His Faithfulness
Rom 4:18-21 Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping-believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, “That’s how many descendants you will have!” And Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead-and so was Sarah’s womb. Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.
Heb 11:11 And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.
Eph 3:20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.
Deut 7:9 Keep in mind that the LORD your God is [the only] God. He is a faithful God, who keeps his promise and is merciful to thousands of generations of those who love him and obey his commands.
1 Thess 5:24 The One who calls you is faithful, and He will do it.
3. Don’t Get Sidetracked By Pressures or Problems #staysteadfast
Phil 4:12-13 I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything. I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little. For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
● Paul’s joy was not based on his current circumstances
● Faith never pretends, were just not giving our focus to it ● Outlast the enemy by thinking the right things
● Remember how God has helped you in the past
2 Cor 4:18 So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.
2 Cor 4:8-9 We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. 9 We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.
4. Victory Is Already Yours - Believe it, Receive it, and Give God Praise
1 Cor 15:57-58 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
