- Sharing what I used to meet the requirement for 360° lighting and audible siren on a Jeep Wrangler.
Strobes N More Tru Dual EFlood 7200 flood bar, Whelan ION Super LED split, Whelan ULF44 LED flasher, Feniex Cannon undercover hideaway LED with surface mount, Surface Star Next Generation self contained LED, Feniex Storm Pro 100W remote siren, Feniex Triton 100W siren speaker. Rugged Ridge A pillar switch pod, KC Hi-Lites Hood Bar.
I just got pickup truck rear glass mount light stick and some black paper for my first setup. On the second I got a freedom IV and installed it on the hood with the no back light option. And some M4s on the body panels. Oh and I'm a pilot and I found that my anr headset is very much appreciated with my soft top Jeep.
Nice and clean. Simple yet effective
Great job! Can you please make a list of all those accessories?
Very awesome! One suggestion... Change the horn switch out with a momentary switch so you can spazz on the horn. Have you done that yet?
Can you do a quick video on where you drilled and mounted the hideaways in the taillights?
feniex cobra 600 or 800 fits great in jeeps and cannon 120's would have fit nice I think in tail
I would have put some whelen ions in the rear window.
Nice setup. Have you thought about mounting a traffic advisor to the spare tire rack? That would greatly help out your rear warning. Also, if you put rocker panel lights on the roof or underneath you would have you super nice jeep! Whats your experience been with the strobes n more lightbar? I am thinking about getting one but have heard that people say it lets moisture and then stops working. also the company is extremely difficult to work warranty wise speaking.
Thanks. I don't need anything additional for a traffic advisor right now. I'm not responding to the scene with my vehicle. I use my vehicle for response only to the fire station to get on a truck. I currently comply with all laws by having 360 degree lighting. Basically, I have most of my attention grabbing in the front, and front sides where I need it to be able to request the 'right of way'. The back flashers are simply to be in 'compliance' with the law. They really only tell people they've been passed by an emergency responder. Someday - if I get into a role where I am responding direct to the scene - I will want to increase my visibility all around.
I like the Strobes n More bar. The Whelan LEDs on my hood bar are much brighter and get the job done for warning. But having the flood bar on the Jeep is definitely useful. If you can use a flood bar that also acts as a warning light - its well worth it. But if you're primary use is the warning feature - it's not the best option.
Kevin Shea thanks for the feedback!
I am having trouble finding the KC light bar you used. Can you tell me where you got this.
Did you ever think of mounting those led lights that are on your hood right under your tail lights and on both sides of your license plate
High Diamond sounds like you'd like HG2's Crossfire license plate frame. that'll do that you're thinking better than trying to mount Whelan Super IONs there I think.
Kevin Shea oh. Hmm. I'll have to look into that
Do drive with the piece of paper on your license plate?
where r u able to have sirens and red lights?
As a volunteer firefighter in New Hampshire.
Kevin Shea are you a normal FF or are you a chief officer?
William McHenry , just a volunteer, call firefighter.

How do you install the canons on the bumper, a big hole to feed it all through?
chaskott3 I had to take the bumper off. Only had to drill the holes for the lights. Then I used existing holes to get the wires through.
how did you mount you Strobes N More Tru Dual EFlood to the grill?

Hey - great set up! I'm trying to figure out where to mount my speaker. Where did you mount yours?
I installed mine behind the bumper, above the skid plate. It needed a little modification to the mount, but I got it securely attached.
Daniel Murray this isn’t even legal
Hey Kevin, do you have any photos of this location. Was looking at installing the same speaker.
I like the setup. How well does it move traffic?
Zach Novosad the hood lights do a great job of grabbing attention. I think the red/white split is a huge help to that. I also utilize a siren.
I haven't had any trouble getting people to yield.
Kevin Shea that's really good! Down here in Connecticut were only allowed blue courtesy lights. I'm going to be getting mine real soon for my truck.
@@znovosad555 I too live in CT and it sucks that we are only able to use blue light without any sirens or anything
@@ColbyKordasmain yup. It's just dumb. No PD should just be red/white to the front and no fire department vehicle, personal vehicle or department vehicle should be equipped with blue only or blue and white only. And courtesy lights are just dumb. When I'm responding to wrecks and the state police are behind me going too as long as they're in emergency mode I have to pull over for the trooper behind me even with my lights on.
@@znovosad555 it sucks, I really have a need for actual lights and sirens, just like you where saying blue/red because I do live about 7 minutes away from the station and although its 45MPH almost all the way there there still is a long light and a stop sign. It's also stupid that we still have to obey all traffic laws and can't run lights when going hot.
where did you mount the speaker at?
It's up behind the bumper, above the skid plate. We had to modify the stock mounting bracket to securely fasten it.
There is no WAIL in the pronunciation of Whelen
Depending on where you live, there is no 'R' in the pronunciation of car either.
Kevin Shea touché 😂
