    Inches and metric is easy to over come, with combination measuring tapes and rulers. The numbers are different but the measurements are the same.

    wowww this was a really good book review. thank you soooo much for the flip through previews. i've reserved some of the books from my public library!!! thank goodness they have the first book because they only have 1 copy available throughout the whole nation's public library (we're a small country so we can reserve it at a small fee and we can arrange for book collection at our nearest neighbourhood library ahha) and i almost thought the price of the book was fake and a joke. :O thank you again. :)

    Thank you for sharing this review of these pattern books. I would also love to publish my own sewing patterns. I have also studied various garment construction methods and the more i learn the more I get also confused on what pattern construction ways I shall best use, or what measurements, is there right or wrong way? I would love to know about your sewing pattern development journey. What garment construction methods you like to use and how do you make them in pdf? Thank you! :)

    ?Does the "Designing Patterns: a fresh approach to pattern cutting" book talk about ease?
    ?When you studied fashion did you have to make any garments from you a drawn block?
    Before I saw your video I purchased "How to Use, Adapt, and Design Sewing Patterns" by Lee Hollahan. Do you have an opinion about this book?
    I like the spiral binding on the "Pattern Making with Stretch Knit Fabrics". I think this is always a plus.

    • @CocoWawaCrafts
      @CocoWawaCrafts  6 років тому

      Hi! Yes, it talks about ease, although not explaining much. I learned how to create my own blocks and from there how to adapt them to create a new design. I don't know that book, is it good?

I am working with a pattern drafting company to create a different block for plus sizes. Maybe you can check Cashmerette patterns as they maybe have more information about plus size blocks.

      CocoWawa Crafts Winifred Aldrich does menswear, metric pattern cutting for men as does the portfolio for men’s wear, although it’s not my area of expertise, both books for women are awesome Dennis Chuman.
