Thank you ❤ I'm expecting my 2 boxes of trees tomorrow. I'll be using your technique, most likely on them. When you pulled the tiny tree out, I was like, wow.
Stacy ! You made my day, and saved many a bottle brush tree i have stored away that i didnt have the heart to throw out because of their squishedness ! Just found two really cool Halloween BB trees at a thrift store done in a black/orange swirl that were....are, crushed. Now, because of you, i have a mission ! Talk about a feel good moment ! Thanks !
Fascinating and simple. I just threw away several bottle brush trees that got flattened out over the years and tried to replace them and I guess because they are so popular now, they are very expensive to replace. Thank you for sharing this technique with us
Thank you so much I had a huge bag of these that I got at a discount store and when I opened them I realized so many of them were smashed and I wanted to do a project with them! this made them all brand new!! I didn’t want the snow on them so that was an added bonus
Stacy i can't say thank you enough for this video! I purchased some decorated large bottle brush trees and they arrived in smashed condition. I really didn't want to go through the hassle of returning them so I searched to see if I could find a solution. So happy I found you and this video. It worked in seconds!! I wish I could post before and after photos. Thanks for this sharing this 😁
Usually by this time I have bleached and dyed about 200 bottle brush trees, but because I had to pack up this past year's in July to move they didn't have a chance to sell. You smart girl. You buy yours already dyed. The hot water tip works most of the time.
Thank you, thank you for this great video! I had no idea it could be this easy to fix my crushed BB trees! As another commenter wrote, BB trees can be expensive now and why buy new ones when I can give my old ones a quick shower and re-shaping? I appreciate you sharing your experience!
It's what we are getting nowadays since most everything is made in China. It's very depressing to me. But this is a great way to fix them and I appreciate you sharing this with us. I have several that came smooshed.
@@JunkinwithStacy I agree. I have to tell you how sad it makes me feel that everything comes from China now. My girlfriend and many other people I met over the years are lampworkers. They make beautiful glass beads from rods of glass. Anyway, I would go with her to many bead shows and all of a sudden, we noticed several Asian sellers, along with a few Indian sellers (not American Indians - Indians from India). Anyway, it never occurred to us that they would steal steal steal ideas. It was terrible what they did because eventually, there were only a very few American beadmakers selling at the shows. One of my friends bought some beads from them just to see what they were like. The seller kept telling her they were coral beads but she knew they weren't real coral. So she brought them home and washed them (everything was filthy dirty, too). And wouldn't you know, the beads were painted and all the paint started washing off. Not only did they steal the ideas, but they figured out ways to cheapen them up to sell them cheaper and I am sorry, but I do not think that is right - no matter what. Anyway, I'm pretty old now so I doubt I'll live long enough to see it turn around. I just really feel bad for all the creative artists who had their ideas stolen over the years. Sorry for the ranting. Thank you again for taking the time to share your wonderful fix to our smooshed trees.
It might. Unfortunately having to re-glitter a tree can be an unfortunate side effect. Sometimes the glitter is on there really good and everything is fine.
Not all the snow sticks. Sometimes it comes off depending on how old it is. Our shop has a policy that the lowest price we can charge is $1 so they go from $1 to $10 for the very large ones. The ones that are about 8” tall. Most of the smaller ones go for about $3 for the ones you saw me clean.
I do the same thing because if I don’t they’re ruined anyway. Sometimes the glitter and snow stay but sometimes they come off. I use Rustoleum glitter spray to re-glitter trees. I haven’t tried to redo the snow.
Have you tried this with glitter bottle brush trees? I have a gorgeous one I got last year and its sooo sad now! Despite my delicate packing up, its all smoooshed!!!😒
I know they just have to sit alone on a shelf or they get crushed. Some of the glitter trees have metal branches so you can try to move them back into place without the water. I have dental tools that I used but you can used a skewer or any other long tool to move them around. If it’s like a normal bottle brush tree it should work. You might have to re glitter the tree though. Glitter spray works great but spray glue and shaker glitter will work too. Good luck. I hope it works!
@@JunkinwithStacy Thank you so much! Yeah, it’s a regular kind. I turned it so only the bushy side is showing but I will try your trick after my guests come and let u know how it goes.
Hallelujah!! I have so many smashed trees. I knew there had to be away. I was thinking maybe steam. This looks easier! Thank you
It is so easy. You’re welcome. I hope you rescue a ton of trees.
Thank you ❤ I'm expecting my 2 boxes of trees tomorrow. I'll be using your technique, most likely on them. When you pulled the tiny tree out, I was like, wow.
I hope it helps for your tree! Like I said you might lose glitter and snow but it’s better than losing the whole tree. Good luck!
Thank you so much, Stacy, for showing us how to >save the trees
You're welcome! Merry Christmas to you and your family. I’m happy to be a tree hugger! I hope all your tree are fluffy this year!

Yay! That makes my day! Let me know how they turn out. I totally would have rescued those Halloween trees. Tag me if you post pics
Had to come back and rewatch this one just starting on Christmas crafts with Melon ❤
Yes its time!
I can’t wait to try this! My granddaughter has been squishing our trees and I thought they were garbage.
I’m glad I could help!
So helpful and thanks for the information. This is a really good option from trashing those poor little trees.
Glad it was helpful! I squish those darn trees too. If you look at them wrong they go out of shape!😂
You are a genius!💜🌲🌲🌲🌲
Thank you!
I can't say thank you enough! I have many trees that I can save now!
You’re so very welcome!

Oh no! I’m sorry you threw some away. That’s why I made the video because people were telling me they just tossed them.
Thank you so much , my tree is so beautiful now, you saved it . I am new to your channel and I love it so much , Ty for sharing . Happy holidays.
I’m so glad it saved your tree! And I’m glad you like the channel. Happy Holidays!

You are so welcome! Every year I have to do this because no matter how well I pack them they get squished. I hope your project is amazing!
You made them cute again!! 😍
Thanks! I’m just here to rescue the ugly! 😂
Thanks for sharing, such a simple fix! Great to know. 🌲
You’re welcome! I hope it helps.
That’s really cool. You are very smart.
Thank you. I’m not sure where I learned that but I thought everyone knew until someone told me they throw the squished ones away. 🥴
Brilliant! Thank you so much for this fantastic tip.

Yay! I’m so glad it worked . I know how heartbreaking that is for them to show up squashed. I’m glad I could help!
Thank you for this information. I had wondered how to fix them for a while now. ❤

Yep when they started making them in colors I stopped dying them.
What a great tip, thank you!
You are so welcome 🙏🏻
Thank you so much for this, I have lots to fix now! Love your channel!

You’re welcome. It seems like every year when I store them at least one or two are squashed.
So good to know, thank you!
You’re welcome!
Nice from Detroit Michigan
Thanks
Where I found rit liquid dye? please
Amazon, Joann Fabric, Walmart Michaels, hobby lobby
Thanks pretty
So smart!
Thank You! I thought everyone knew that until someone said they just throw them out. 🥴
Saved my day too; now, next problem, I need to make my trees just a tad shorter. About an in or so shorter. Do you have any idea how to do that? Thx.
You can cut them with a scissor but you need to glue it to a base then.
It's what we are getting nowadays since most everything is made in China. It's very depressing to me. But this is a great way to fix them and I appreciate you sharing this with us. I have several that came smooshed.
You’re welcome! I know they’re all crushed and mangled. What would it hurt them to ship it in a box at least and not an envelope. 🤷🏻♀️

I wonder if a hand held steamer would work just as well and keep more of the snow on?
Ah! That is an idea. I’m going to try it. Thank you for suggesting it.
I have a giant one that has glitter on it, will that wash off?
It might. Unfortunately having to re-glitter a tree can be an unfortunate side effect. Sometimes the glitter is on there really good and everything is fine.
Great tip! So the fake Snow still is sticks after you do this? How much do you ask for the trees I'm not sure how to price them. Thanks

@@JunkinwithStacy Thanks for the information! Will be ordering some from your link on your blog
Thank you! The 8” ones aren’t in that pack. So you have to get those separate.
@@JunkinwithStacy do you have the 8” ones linked so you get credit?
I didn’t but this is the set I got. I bought a few amzn.to/3nshOV9
What do you if they have glitter or snow?

What is they have glitter on them & they’re bigger than what you can fit in a glass of water?
You will have to register them and get more water.
Bathtub
@JusKimmee yeah it has to be in a container that will fit the tree. If you’re talking bathtub size is it a bottle brush type material?
next viral vid!!!
😂 well that would be nice!
