I've been around Land Rover Defenders long enough to know that for some the last true Defender was the model before the one you bought. I own a 2008 Puma Defender and I was told that the TD5 was the last true one. I also now own a 2023 Defender. It's a worthy successor and much better.
@@atoieno The new defender is good for the reason that it's luxurious and similar to discoveries, otherwise with those air suspension and too many electronics, I wonder if it would even keep up with the older defenders. Recently, during the heavy downpour at Dubai, there was this new gen defender which got destroyed by flood waters even though it was till knee level. Not to forget it's not even designed to forge through deep water since it'd prevent water from gushing inside the cab, causing the car to float and lose it's tire contact patch. Lastly the new defender can't be modified like older defenders.
