Hal won NA Regional Finals in Falcons first tournament with Falcons being #1 #2 #3 in kills. The falloff happened once Newcastle became meta, but even then, Hals had the best career of any apex player so who cares if he's not doing insanely well now, he's been playing for years, made the bag, and has relaxed on a simple role for him. Zer0 was pretty much the only IGL capable of talking 💩 to Hal, then he throws a lan with DZ (from memory, overextending on worlds edge overlook end zone) and sacks off any form of competition mentally by teaming with Hal. It’s like idk, cr7 and Messi in their prime. They pushed each other to do better and I don’t think either of them would’ve reached the heights they did had they of been on the same team. Also, chungus waltzy is in no way comparable to Evan or Gen when it comes to team fighting/damage output. The only thing he has going for him is his IGL background, which given he’s on a team with the 2 most experienced IGL’s in the games history, is rather redundant. The glitch was that the newcastle wall didn't form in the doorway. You can see it form above the doorway in the building wall. If it worked, they would have isolated and killed the guy inside
If a bad team makes that play for kp in game 3 they get cussed out for being idiots. Falcons 100% deserve the same smoke for plays like that. They could have easily taken the 1 kill and backed up, saving the duo for an easy wipe later. Instead they botch the team wipe and probably end up throwing that duo's game as well. I'd be pissed personally.
At 6:04 as someone who plays quite a bit of cat Hal should’ve walled their back off while they were trying to push that one door. They got griefed from the team shooting them in the back. The wall would’ve prevented unnecessary damage and prevented that team from easily apeing them once they finished the fight. Instead he died while still having the wall which was unfortunate.
I would argue with that tbh. It's too much util to finish off a duo. If wxltzy threw his Q and didn't take this much damage, they would instantly break the door and push the duo. And considering the fact that they gave up godspot, they would need as much util after pushing that duo as possible. And catwall isn't quite fast recharging ult tbh(3mins i think). Ofc i'm not arguing about Hal's inexpirience as you said, it's true. But in this exact moment I feel like he didn't do anything wrong in terms of his util

The main problem with FLCN is them adapting to the new meta change. the current meta is castle/gib/shotgun which has a lot of shield/bubble fight and that prolong a lot of fight or keeping teams alive longer then it needs to be. but With the previous meta with bang/fuse/crypto/bloodhound, a lot of fights involve someone getting beamed and getting push with and that team dying quick. But nowadays you got teams sitting behind a castle shield/ult ,Gib bubble, Cat wall A lot of people is saying Hal switching to FLCN was a bad move it wasn’t it’s just meta changes is causing them to lose and not performing how they use to.
every team had to deal with meta changes. team liquid picked up a new igl, and adjusted from the same bang/crypto/fuse meta into Gibby/Newcastle/Cat or Path, yet they won BLGS finals. Its not about a new meta, everyone is in the same meta
Some people just adapt better than others, and sadly, this ain't it for Falcons. They were dominant when they first formed, but once the meta shift and people began to understand how Falcons played, they became the laughing stock of Apex. I personally think it's a momentum problem where they HAVE to be doing consistently well. Otherwise, they just become desperate and make small mistakes that cost them games.

And utilizing tacs or ults without waiting for your IGL to use it would be great. But I think their vibes overall are making them second guess their own decisions as well. Lol. The mistake in game 1 was Waltzy not using tac FIRST isntead of bubble. If they bought themselves some time saving bubble for later, they could made the last 2 teams fight in their bubble for 2nd, instead, Zero instantly bubbled after reviving and soon after Walter wasted tac inside bub. But then they didn't play for 2nd with no utility. It's hard to make that call in that moment but in theory Waltzy tacs after being revived and they all sit behind tac for 5-10 seconds.
I think there should be like 8 legend characters available for tournaments because its just a complete nonsense now with everyone plays Gibby, newcastle and Catalyst. Every game fight is basically the same sh1t all over again and on the end game zone its nonsense as its best, its completele unwatchable and I guess its uncomfortable for players also to everyime experience same fights all over again. No masterclass portal plays by Wraith, no rush or escape portals by Ash, no octane jump pads for same reason as Ash portal. The game lacks of dynamics now, all is the same schema and newcastle cover undestructible shield when he revives (while moving ultra fast) its stupidiest thing I've seen in this game. In competetive tournaments should be: 1. Lifeline 2. Wraith 3. Pathfinder 4. Gibby 5. Octane. 6. Wattson 7. Ash. 8. Bangalore
This meta increases the RNG. That's it, and that's why it's so bad for competitive. You have final ring closures with 5+ teams throwing Gibby bubbles and Newcastle walls. You need an Evac Tower to dodge all that shit, and even then it doesn't greatly improve your chances. Its not skill based playing. Its just RNG at that point.

Timmy’s first time IGLing, he still has a lot to learn. And Dez always trying to over talk Timmy during calls, I think it really cucks them in the long run. Otherwise, they’re still doing fairly well and should continue to improve.

The glitch was that the newcastle wall didn't form in the doorway. You can see it form above the doorway in the building wall. If it worked, they would have isolated and killed the guy inside

If a bad team makes that play for kp in game 3 they get cussed out for being idiots. Falcons 100% deserve the same smoke for plays like that. They could have easily taken the 1 kill and backed up, saving the duo for an easy wipe later. Instead they botch the team wipe and probably end up throwing that duo's game as well. I'd be pissed personally.

At 6:04 as someone who plays quite a bit of cat Hal should’ve walled their back off while they were trying to push that one door. They got griefed from the team shooting them in the back. The wall would’ve prevented unnecessary damage and prevented that team from easily apeing them once they finished the fight. Instead he died while still having the wall which was unfortunate.
As watching more of the video, Hal’s inexperience with cat seems evident, he’ll get better with her I’m sure
I would argue with that tbh. It's too much util to finish off a duo. If wxltzy threw his Q and didn't take this much damage, they would instantly break the door and push the duo. And considering the fact that they gave up godspot, they would need as much util after pushing that duo as possible. And catwall isn't quite fast recharging ult tbh(3mins i think). Ofc i'm not arguing about Hal's inexpirience as you said, it's true. But in this exact moment I feel like he didn't do anything wrong in terms of his util

I totally agree though it’s quite a bit of utility to use for a duo. But if the alternative is death then I’d prefer to use utility
@@NurseCloud9 yeah for sure. But let's be honest. If wxltzy as castle stays alive, he just resses Hal and he would block every entrance instantly without even healing. It's just free reset in this type of building. No one could insta push against castle Q, bubble and 2 spikes with reinforced doors xd. And as for the fact, long fights in small zones like this will always be 3rd partied, no matter of how much util you're gonna waste on it. If there's castle Q and bubble, then one of the teams will just go in close, trolling yours and theirs game, that's always how it works unfortunately
@mooncurve_apex I honestly disagree with you only because the only alternative in that situation would have been surefire death. they also probably wouldn't need cat wall again for another 5-6 minutes since they'll be in a building. cat walling their back would have prevented a lot of damage there
The main problem with FLCN is them adapting to the new meta change. the current meta is castle/gib/shotgun which has a lot of shield/bubble fight and that prolong a lot of fight or keeping teams alive longer then it needs to be. but With the previous meta with bang/fuse/crypto/bloodhound, a lot of fights involve someone getting beamed and getting push with and that team dying quick. But nowadays you got teams sitting behind a castle shield/ult ,Gib bubble, Cat wall
A lot of people is saying Hal switching to FLCN was a bad move it wasn’t it’s just meta changes is causing them to lose and not performing how they use to.
every team had to deal with meta changes. team liquid picked up a new igl, and adjusted from the same bang/crypto/fuse meta into Gibby/Newcastle/Cat or Path, yet they won BLGS finals. Its not about a new meta, everyone is in the same meta
Some people just adapt better than others, and sadly, this ain't it for Falcons.
They were dominant when they first formed, but once the meta shift and people began to understand how Falcons played, they became the laughing stock of Apex.
I personally think it's a momentum problem where they HAVE to be doing consistently well. Otherwise, they just become desperate and make small mistakes that cost them games.

I.E. all 3 swinging balls to the wall through one door or one getting an angle from the back door while 2 front door swing only to die in a 2v3, hurts the team overall… esp. how quickly they get 3rd’d in every fight. And utilizing tacs or ults without waiting for your IGL to use it would be great. But I think their vibes overall are making them second guess their own decisions as well. Lol. Their vibes are off, af.

The mistake in game 1 was Waltzy not using tac FIRST isntead of bubble. If they bought themselves some time saving bubble for later, they could made the last 2 teams fight in their bubble for 2nd, instead, Zero instantly bubbled after reviving and soon after Walter wasted tac inside bub. But then they didn't play for 2nd with no utility.
It's hard to make that call in that moment but in theory Waltzy tacs after being revived and they all sit behind tac for 5-10 seconds.

I think there should be like 8 legend characters available for tournaments because its just a complete nonsense now with everyone plays Gibby, newcastle and Catalyst. Every game fight is basically the same sh1t all over again and on the end game zone its nonsense as its best, its completele unwatchable and I guess its uncomfortable for players also to everyime experience same fights all over again. No masterclass portal plays by Wraith, no rush or escape portals by Ash, no octane jump pads for same reason as Ash portal. The game lacks of dynamics now, all is the same schema and newcastle cover undestructible shield when he revives (while moving ultra fast) its stupidiest thing I've seen in this game.

This meta increases the RNG. That's it, and that's why it's so bad for competitive. You have final ring closures with 5+ teams throwing Gibby bubbles and Newcastle walls. You need an Evac Tower to dodge all that shit, and even then it doesn't greatly improve your chances. Its not skill based playing. Its just RNG at that point.
