12:13 the best way is to flick the tilt locking catch across the base frame before standing the mixer upright, it takes out all the slop and makes it much easier to lift up.
Hi Liam, right the elephant in the room, I'm a bricky! Lol I'm not going to say anything bad because anyone having a go is good in my eyes so can i offer a tip or two? If you leave mixer longer it will loosen up and become more workable, it's easy to out to much water in. When setting out bumping up your beds to gets levels is fine, but 10mm beds are what you should aim for on the rest of the blocks, think of it this way, if you do thick beds then it's more mortar and more mixing involved, happy building 👷♂️
@thegardenroomguru so the typical time is about 20 mins, this gives the plastiser time to activate and do its thing, after 20 mins if it still looks dry add a little more water, trust me though it will wet up.
Let the mixer do the work for you, can add more water later but you can't take it back out if you add too much too soon lol that's what my old gaffer taught me 👍🧱

Drill a couple of holes in the block grips and screw a lump of timber on the moving grip to shorten the distance that should work 👍
Do not do anything to it, you stack blocks side by side, standing up on their sides, it picks up 4-6 blocks at a time or whatever length it is.
