I resonate with this so much! I feel like I was going through a self-help book burnout for YEARS, and I do a lot of reading (research) for my job so it has been so nice to lose myself in fantasy, sci-fi, thrillers, you name it! I am also about to finish my 20th book after having started in July and now I ask everyone "Can I add you on Goodreads?!" I love that pleasure reading is coming back into style because of these books. I feel like I'm reconnecting with my inner child who loved checking out books at the library & truly lost herself in these stories :) Yay, more cozy reading vlogs, please!!
I’m about 90% through Iron Flame and my facial reactions were just like yours! I’ve loved both books so far. I am like you - got back into reading through fantasy and fantasy romance. It’s nice to take a break from the real world and self-help genre and be entertained and escape!
I loved this vlog!!! I also was in a reading slump and then in June I switched from self-development books to rom coms and fantasy books - now I’m hooked! I’ve read 30 books since! Hope you do more of these. ❤
Just finished Iron Flame last night and OMG I had a range of emotions on the ending, but I agree with you - it is just going to make an amazing third book. (also, I believe I read that there are 5 books planned for this series?) wow wow wow - for me ACOTAR got me back into reading and I think we have been reading a ton of the same series. This was a great watch! So comfy and cozy.
I loved this reading vlog! I gave Fourth Wing 5/5 and Iron Flame 4/5! Can’t wait to read on - I think it’s supposed to be 5 books total in the series. You also inspired me to decorate my new kindle with stickers!
You’re making me want to try my kindle again! Loved this vlog. It’s a good reminder to celebrate and make intentional time to read just to read. Watched this then listened to your podcast 🫶🏽 can you share where you got your T-shirt? It’s so cute. Would love to gift to friends.
Please do more reading vlogs!! I LOVE your channel and I live for booktube videos, so this was the greatest thing ever for me! I’ve also read both books and I LOVED Fourth Wing and waited the whole year for the sequel! For me Fourth Wing was a 5/5 ⭐️ and Iron Flame was more of a 4,5/5 ⭐️, because the beginning felt a bit off, a bit confusing and the pacing seemed weird. There were some rumors that they used AI to write this book so it would come out sooner, and I really believe it because you can really tell that the first book had more work and time into it than this one! But still, it kept me on the edge of my seat and I love these characters and this world so much I just couldn’t give it any lower rating!
This is the first reading vlog I've ever watched. I like this style of vlogging. I'm not into fantasy books but this video makes me want to grab some tea and read. I'd watch another if you decide to make one. 👓📖
I finished Iron Flame too!! I was like OMG with that ending. Also same same with reading and the self help stuff. Fourth Wing got me addicted now I'm onto ACOTAR lolol
I have Iron Flame and have started it but am trying to go slowly...I devoured Fourth Wing in two days...I want to TRY to enjoy the first read of Iron Flame for a longer time, but I suspect I wil just plow through & finish this weekend because I have to know what happens. 😂
I actually discovered both Fourth Wing and ACOTAR from the comments on your Threads post asking for a book rec like Twilight! I thought FW was just okay but picked up Iron Flame bc of that cliffhanger. I'm so glad I did though bc I really enjoyed IF and loved being immersed in the story. So fun to see you enjoyed it too. And I think I saw somewhere this series is supposed to havr five books?
700 pages done in a few days? 🤯 that’s amazing haha. Do you not find it to be overwhelming or forgetting some things when reading multiple books at the same time?
Hi Jules, I responded to the email Newsletter a few weeks ago that I would be interested in joining the Austin Reading Group…. Is there still an opening?
Im at the 67% mark on Iron Flame. Super good so far, but im definitely trying to take my time with this one and I just KNOW its gonna ruin my life at the end, like the first one lol
Nice to see a reading vlog from you, I really enjoy watching these. I didn't love Iron Flame personally, part 2 was better but I found part 1 a bit of a slog to get through,
@@julesacree I didn't love it just because the miscommunication trope in romances is not my fave and I feel like this sets up more of that in the next book. I hope I'm wrong though

Jules looks absolutely radiant! I love the bangs. :) Also, I'm excited to dive into the Iron flame this weekend! Ahh!
As someone who has TMJ, would love to hear more about your TMJ, how you manage it, the treatment options you've explored, etc
Hi Jules, what are some of your favorite stores to shop from? I love all your outfits, they’re so cozy, grounding and cute 😊
Over 28 hours long in the audiobook and I loved it.
I’m about to start it! I can’t wait!

Fourth Wing is how I got back to reading. I liked that one a bit more than Iron Flame. Im curious what the tv show will be like.
I liked this - it was so peaceful 🍵
Ahhhhh I’m reading it now! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I finished Iron Flame too!! I was like OMG with that ending. Also same same with reading and the self help stuff. Fourth Wing got me addicted now I'm onto ACOTAR lolol

Sameee - I tried to give myself a lil space go let it simmer lol but then the last chunk of the book I really needed to know the ending!
Self-care is reading
Do you have a place on your website of all the books you’ve read?

Oooh I hope so! I feel like after IF, there’s so many seeds that have been planted and now we neeeed more books to dissect!
May I ask what is the brand of your pour over

I don’t like fantasy books but I will give it a try as I can’t look at self help books right now 😂
Im at the 67% mark on Iron Flame. Super good so far, but im definitely trying to take my time with this one and I just KNOW its gonna ruin my life at the end, like the first one lol
It will ruin you hahaha but in the best way
Hi Neighbor! I'm in Austin, Texas! Welcome to my HOME of 20+ years!
I watched this vlog 3 days ago. I bought both books that day. Now I finished both and imdont know what to do with my life. I am distraught
Nice to see a reading vlog from you, I really enjoy watching these. I didn't love Iron Flame personally, part 2 was better but I found part 1 a bit of a slog to get through,
Agreee part 1 was a lotttt of politics ! did you enjoy the ending ?!
@@julesacree I didn't love it just because the miscommunication trope in romances is not my fave and I feel like this sets up more of that in the next book. I hope I'm wrong though
Fourth Wing was also the book that got me back into reading regularly!!
