This video is wrong for my 2017 Tacoma 6 ft bed no weatherproofing gasket is needed and will not let it seat properly. I spoke to Bakflip and he told not to use it , once I removed problem solved.

It looks like the rail system is lower than its original position after installation, will the bed divider still work with the rail system?

And how much is the offset? Is it only lowered vertically or is it also moved inwardly?

In the official video from backflip, they mentioned you do not need to bulkhead seal....

You may not need it. But any additional weatherproofing does not hurt! Thanks for the comment!

I noticed a tiny crack between the rail and the bulkhead seal. I'm gonna wedge some stripping in there too to make sure there's zero leakage

I ended up with a gap at the front between the bulkhead and side rails. I used some silicone to seal it. Will have to see how it works. I need to take it to the car wash to test it out and find any other leaks.

Does the G2 and MX4 install in the same manner so that you can still use the OEM rails for the cleats

But if you have a cargo devider it becomes useless with the rail on bottom. The brackets need tooling redesign in order to work. A simple fix

Actually, that's the BakFlip Fibermax. It's going to have a Fiberglass Reinforced Polymer top that has a very similar finish to the G2.

Sadly moving the rails makes them useless for what i want making this cover useless to me
