We bought a "Queen" for our Coleman 17B.
We found this mattress on a lighting sale on Amazon and bought it with 14 minutes left on the sale.

Since I mentioned him in this video, it is only fair that I include a link to "Traveling Robert's" channel. This is also the episode where he installs his new mattress.

We are traveling in a one of a kind Coleman 17B. The 17B is the lowest priced RV in the market for its size. I tend to think of the 17B as a starter kit that owners can personalize to fit their own needs and tastes. Virtually every one is a “one of a kind” project. We have completed over 50 upgrades or modifications on ours.
I recently bought the same camper, and bought a similar mattress. I’m a widow doing all this stuff by myself, and while I’m not in terrible shape, unboxing the mattress and setting it up was quite a workout! I video’d it, but opted NOT to add that part to my video. 😂
I know! They are unbelievably heavy and unwieldy..
If you open it upside down, it is tough.
I was a nervous wreck from the get go! I knew it was upside down but you couldn't hear me! Haha! I'm glad it worked out well. I have a back ache from watching you two carry that million pound mattress! Good Lord! This is the Mrs. btw.
It looks amazing and very comfortable, congratulations on the new mattress. Can't wait for more videos

Just that easy. huh. Love it.
So the mattress you got is a queen then- 60” wide x 80” long. I think the original was a rv queen 60”x75” long? It looks longer than a standard mattress
Yes. We measured and measured and decided that the mattress hanging over, and resting on the "shelf" would not be a problem.
We actually removed the "Teddy Bear mattress" and put in a thick memory foam on top of it, before our first trip. This worked well enough for comfort, but was so hard to makeup. A fitted sheet, of any size just would not work.
Speaking of mattresses, check out the conversation about it on our latest video about the 17R.
What Vehicle do you have? I liked the size. Thanks
Coleman 17b, towed by a Lincoln Navigator we purchased used. It does a pretty good job of towing. We don't even feel the trailer. One of our next purchases will be a stabiliizer bar, but we hardly seem to need it.
I think it will take more than one short camping trip to make a good review, but so far we really like it.
The product comes with a 120 Warranty. so there is no big hurry. We might decide to put our memory foam on it. This is what we have at home, but for now we are fine without it.
I assume you bought the 10". Did you think of buying the 12"? Why or why not?
The 10 inch seemed like plenty. We were also concerned with bumping our heads on the shelf. For the person sleeping next to the wall, getting in and out of the bed is an interesting maneuver. You have to do a bunch of weird crawling and scooting while the other person bends and moves their legs out of the way. I worry about her hitting her head every time.
We are glad it isn't any higher.
BTW- We used it this past weekend. We really like it.
