I was wondering about sizing and I’m glad because this video convinced me to get an 8 in the future for when I do buy these shoes. For most of my shoes I wear a size 9 (Vans, Nike, New Republic), but with my boots/dress shoes I wear an 8.5 as well as Converse as those are known to run a half size bigger. The company of Koio even told me themselves that their capris do run slightly on the larger side, so if you got an 8 and still have room I bet that’ll be the case for me as well.
If you have a ruler you could try to measure your foot and compare it to their size chart. That would be the safest bet to make sure you get the right size.
@@EricTMeraki I got my common projects in Japan for 100 dollars and they were in great condition. its a bit of a hassle to find, but regarding second hand fashion you can find some great prices in the country. Try mercari or yahoo auctions :)
Friend from r/ here. :) I loved the quality of the edit. If I have to be picky, as a viewer I think I would appreciate better sounding audio, because the video edit is already top notch. Cheers and stay connected :)
I just received mine yesterday but I will probably return them. They fit great but it is much lighter in person compared to video and their website . Going to exchange it for black with white sole or white with light gum sole
Hey everyone! Check out my review of the Koio Capri. These are premium Italian leather sneakers. Koio was gracious enough to supply me with a promo code as well for a free cleaning kit. Promo Code for Free Cleaning Kit (active starting May 29, 2020): CONSUMERDOSSIER Share your thoughts as always!
Still on the fence on what size to get since the sneakers I mostly wear are either half size bigger, and half size smaller. with that said I wear a Adidas Samba: 7.5US Mens , Chucks 70 low: Size 7 US mens, Both of which have a 25.5cm from heel to toe. What size can you recommend?
They kind of run large so I would say size down if you're in between sizes. Go with the majority of you shoe sizes if you're unsure what your actual size is.
i have 3 pairs of koio from the koio store. I just noticed my white and castagna say "koio new york city" on the tongue but the sandstone has the symbol on the tongue. Did they give me two fake versions? I have not seen any video with koio new york city on the tongue. The ones I always see have the symbols like yours.
@@EricTMeraki Thanks. I actually went to Koio store in SOHO today. The ones with the lettering are newer and have a softer tongue. If it wasnt for your channel I would have never known about Koio or beckett simonon. I have to say that I think my simonon reids are more comfy. at least for my feet. Great Channel!!!
I see that koio has a wide fit. I am a size 10 in cloth sneakers but I go up to 10.5 in leather since I have slightly wide fit. Do you recommend I buy 10 wide for 10 regular
It could lose it's shape after some time. I wouldn't worry too much on getting a shoe tree, even stuffing it with paper or cardboard can help too when not wearing it. The key for leather shoes is to give it some time to settle in after you wear it.
For light scratches and scuffs, this should work. Get the appropriate shade for your sneaker. www.kirbyallison.com/saphir-pommadier-cream-shoe-polish.html

Thanks man! Wish YT felt the same way lol

Yeah trying to perfect the craft. Thx man. I see you pumping out those vids.
Awesome Review, very easy to watch, with useful information 💯🔥
Thx bro!
great video, thanks for the review. was thinking to pick these up.
Great alternative for Common Projects. I'm hoping to do a video on CPs if I can find them on sale.

For me the size was inverted, I wear 13, tried 12 and 13 to no avail, and 14 is rare to find on eBay.
Thanks for sharing your experience

What's the red button down shirt you had on in this video?
I honestly don't remember the brand for it. Don't own the shirt anymore unfortunately.
How about this compared to cobbler union?
Don't own a pair of Cobbler so can't say.
Just ordered these. I was torn between these, greats, or allen edmonds.
To me, these have the cleanest and most minimal profile. If you want one that similar to CPs these are the closest IMO.
Just received mine. They're smallest size, size 7, leaves a 3/4 inch gap when I push my toes all the way to the front toe box.
do these fit narrow? i tried on a pair axel arigato and they are too narrow for me. Was wondering if these fit narrow or have a bit more room?
They don't feel narrow to me, but I don't have wide feet so can't really say for sure. They are similar to CPs in terms of fit.
I got my regular size and they fit fine.....I have them in triple white and also blush

I haven't bought anything from them since these shoes. Maybe they changed their branding?

Probably up it for a wide.

How do you remove scuffs and scratches?
Look into a leather repair kit for shoes.
Eric T Meraki any recommendation please?

Eric T Meraki thank you. I have the same shoes, same color. Since it is veggie tan, they are prone to scratch. I guess will get the light brown.
I reckon wearing 'no show' socks would be more fashionable 😉
Got any good brands you can recommend Steve? I only have the ones from Uniqlo which are average.
@@EricTMeraki , I'm getting mine from Lululemon. Usually great quality, however I'm from Sydney Australia so not sure if it's an international brand.
We got lulu over in the states as well. Thanks!
It’s still overpriced. 200 is the max they should be charging (excluding tax).
