It's so strange seeing my city in a UA-cam video! Especially the metro stations that I visit daily. I'm so glad you had a good time here, and I hope you can come back again soon! Montreal is really beautiful in the Fall, the views from Mont-Royal are breathtaking. :)
1:52 so you translated it as a "lunch danish" but it would actually be a breakfast danish. The reason is that in quebec we say "déjeuner, diner, souper" for breakfast, lunch and dinner. But in france, they say "petit-déjeuner, déjeuner, diner".
As a mom, I just love that you have your mom with you. Seeing the two of you together, warms my heart as it brings nice memories of my daughter and I and the way we were. ♥️♥️
Love your vlogs so much, I'm trapped in bed, battling bone cancer, in strict isolation. Your vlogs give me the happy escape I need to help me pass my days. I don't get to see my Mom much, so I definitely enjoy watching your adventures with your Mommy Oh.
Hello from Texas just want to thank you for taking us along to Canada. And showing us so many great places to eat to see. And please say hello to your mother from me much love continue to stay safe and well. ❤️🙏
With your background in graphic arts & architecture, Montreal ~ Montréal must have been like going to Disney World in France! ♥ ... From the food, as well, this 24-hours was a feast for your eyes, intellect & stomach! Talk about a Bon Voyage & Bon Appetite! ♥
I think it’s really fun to think Mina is the reason I want to eat healthier. As well I want to eat more Asian food they look much more delicious and nutritious. So just thank you Mina you are really helping my weight loss journey as well as bring the joy of watching your videos. I can’t wait till I am older and get to travel the way you do I want to try all the foods you get as well as see the places you do.
Thank you, Mina and Mommy Oh for sharing your fun trip with us! it was a much-needed break during this quarantine! looking forward to many more videos! Stay healthy and safe!
For all the tourists in Mtl: There is a 10$ metro pass for tourists (or locals) that allows you to travel all you want for a day ! Unlimited ! I would suggest it if you have more than 2 stops in Montréal that are far apart.
To add to that, a weekly pass is unlimited and costs $30. We got ours right at the airport and more than got our money's worth. Kids ride for free and the transit system (subways and buses) is simple to navigate even if you don't speak a lick of french. It's clean, safe and on time. Skip the uber. Use the public transit system whenever possible that's how we found some great random spots.
Pro tip: Joe Beef requires getting a reservation well ahead of time. If you can't get one, you can try Livepool House next door by the same chefs. If again you can't, there's Vin Papillon next next door and that one is walk-in only, so you always have a chance to get a table.
I just stumbled across your channel and I'm obsessed! I was actually in Montreal the exact same time you were and I have never ever felt so cold before! I didn't get to go to as many cool places as you showed so I'll def have to return to see and eat more! :)
Montreal poutine is so diverse which is why it's so unique! There's a poutine for every one, you just need to find the right place. Some like it thick and savory, or crunchy, stretchy.. the list goes on!
Thanks for reminding me of all the good places we've got ! Can't wait to go back out once we are out of confinement! Next time, you should try St-Viateur bagles! And I had no idea peanut butter dumplings started here!! Also, a little clarification for the danish. In France, "déjeuner" means 'lunch' (and 'petit déjeuner' is breakfast) but here in Québec, we mostly refer to breakfast as 'déjeuner', lunch as 'dîner' and dinner as 'souper', which makes a little more sense with the egg in that danish! :)
Really great video representing Montreal! Our winters can be quite harsh as you saw but we grow use to it. Mid-End summer and beginning of fall are the best times to come, especially for the farmers market at Jean-Talon and Atwater. Looking forward to your next video!
What a nice video for Mother's day weekend. Hello Mommy Oh...enjoy your day, because Mina picked the sweetest video to show how much she loves your company.
Your voice is so relaxing whenever I feel stressed and boring I watch your videos and will get relaxed immediately and your nails I love them 😍 you are giving travel 🧳 inspiration I’ll keep watching your videos for ever and ever . Never stop keep going and most importantly keep posting videos. Loads of love from india 🇮🇳
Wow, Montreal as I live it! So great to watch a “tourist video” so down to earth... It was like if you knew the city already and were not in a touristy rush. I enjoyed seeing Montreal exactly as it is (especially in winter with wind and snow- I note that you had 2 coats 😄). I will travel the world with confidence trough your other videos because I know you have this talent to show things as they really are :-)
I can't get over the fact that you went Chez Claudette! That is next level 'live like a local' stuff. Also Fondation Phi is one of my favourite art spots in the city. I hope you get to come back again soon with your mom. She seems so nice!
I love your montreal videos, allows me to discover my hometown haha :-) Next time, you should go to "Ma Poule Mouillé", they have amazing portuguese BBQ, and a great poutine, and right in front is "La Banquise", which is open 24/7 and is reknowned for their poutine (basically their main meal - side note, yes squeaky cheese is important for a poutine, but the gravy and fries are aswell! Maybe try a poutine at McDonalds also, it could be fun to compare them! ), you should also compare St-Viateur Bagels to Fairmount bagels, there's been a long debate on which ones are better! Notre-Boeuf-de-Grace, La Belle et le Boeuf, Grand burger, JukeBox Burgers (although in the west island and out of the downtown core) for good burgers, Lov and Aux Vivres for great vegan/vegetarian food, Park Restaurant (although expensive) for japanese food with Korean/Argentinian twist, Saint Sushi, Yokato Yokabai for the world's best ramen (or at least Montreal's best ramen haha), For breakfast/Brunch: Chez Fred & Café Bazin for pastries and bread, Regine Café is amazing, L'avenue restaurant is great, you must visit the bathrooms when you go as well (music can be loud tho), Tommy café is also beautiful, café olympico for coffee. Ca Lem ice cream in summer is amazing, Alati-Casserta for delicious italian pastries, and so many more! I would maybe come back in the fall, best season in my opinion! Its gorgeous (if it's sunny) and not too hot (and especially not too humid like our summers can be), but definitely not freezing. Enjoy!!
I live in Canada and have only passed thru Montreal. You got the good stuff the poutine and smoked meat. There is so many versions of poutine now it is hard to keep up with them. Glad you enjoyed and can tell Mommy Oh enjoyed herself too. Stay safe
Thank you for pronouncing poutine correctly! When cheese curds are squeaky, they're fresh! But personally, I don't like when they squeak haha! It's so nice to see you explore my city :)
I live about 2-3 hours away from Montreal but I do have to go there frequently for medical stuff. I even have family that lives there, and your videos make us discover new places we never thought we would think about going in! Amazing work! Hope you are doing good at your house in this pandemic 💜
I’m so glad you came to my city and liked your time here! Be sure to come back when it is safe and especially, during summer! We have so many festivals and activities around june and july
My favorite memory of Montreal was seeing a group of little girls in yellow jumpers and Madeline hats. It was in the old town and it was a perfect afternoon.
Hi Mina ! I loved your video ! I’m Drummondville, the birthplace of poutine, and yes, the cheese should definitely be squeaky but how the gravy tastes is just as important.
Watching this makes me miss Montreal, moved away last year 😢 I’m surprised you didn’t try St. Viateur bagels, they’re some of the best in the city. Whenever we’re all able to be out again and you can make another visit, I highly recommend getting breakfast there!
Oh my god ! You were so close where i live. Chez Clodette is just one street down from my place. I'm french and i live in Montreal for 11 years now. I really love your videos, your personality and your mom ^^
The cathedral in the beginning was jaw-dropping beautiful! Mina I also like the wonder and amazement you have when you encounter snow and cold. I've had cold, snowy winters all my life so it's fun to see how a non-snow native reacts to snow. :D Also I just bought a new winter coat this winter and it reminds me a bit of yours!
I love a fresh butter croissant with my coffee in the morning. A good almond croissant if I can find it. Not many places here in L. A. to find a decent fresh croissant. Nothing like what one might find in a French bakery.
Montréal looks so different during the wintertime. I went there during the summer, and I couldn’t recognize it at first in the video. Love your vids Mina💜💜
Miss Mina, I am late to this video but I have to thank you so much! I live in Toronto and I have been to Montreal many times but seeing my favourite city through your lens and just before the pandemic gave me a great smile!
it is very important to have squeeky cheese. It makes the poutine taste better. I’m so glad you came to montreal!! I hope you had a beautiful journey in montreal 🥰
Thank you for the jacket review because as you said, it's important to know of products that work when you travel to areas with different weather. Stay safe!
Thank you so much for posting this your adventures give me life I hope you and mumma are taking care during this. That butter croissant tho had my mouth watering 🥐
Wow, this is the best travel video of Montreal I've seen so far, and weirdly I've seen a lot even though I live here lol... It really seems like you are made for this city, and your choice of places to visit was excellent. Hope you will come back!

Man New Yorkers love Montreal so much! lol! Glad you had fun in my hometown! :)
Schwartz deli and Montreal bagels; best in the world. Oh and BTW, I consider Montreal the coolest city in North America if not the world! Thanks for the beautiful memories of a most favored city.
Your french pronounciation is spot on. The ''r'' sound is perfect! Are you a native speaker or you just have a incredible ear for learning languages? Ok after a few minutes into the video, I figure your are not a native speaker, but still. You nailed it! If I was your french teacher I would be so proud!
Baisses tes standards, t'es beaucoup trop exigent. XD
Next time, if you'd like a bit of a history lesson on Montreal, I suggest you visit the Pointe-à-Callière museum - it's also located in Old Mtl! And I had to read Le Libraire as part of my high level French course's required readings in CEGEP (general and vocational college, usually last 2 or 3 years and takes place between high school and university) and well... I don't think anyone really found it all that interesting from what I vaguely remember. All I know is that I got through it really quickly and never touched it again lol.

Don't you just love hearing Mina pronounce those French words? Sounds like a pro to me.
@SMG Eh no... She is really close, way closer that a lot of Anglophone I heard... coming from a French Montrealais
@SMG Bro my native language is French and her pronounciation is actually way better than most second-language French speakers, almost perfect.
oui 😏

oouuu Canada is def on my bucket list. Thanks for sharing the awsome information! Looking forward to traveling again!
I love Montreal and Old Quebec! Can't wait to visit again. I miss poutine and Montreal smoked meat sandwich !
Schwartz deli and Montreal bagels; best in the world. Oh and BTW, I consider Montreal the coolest city in North America if not the world! Thanks for the beautiful memories of a most favored city.
Wonderful personality and so articulate.
Thank you for visiting our amazing city!!! ❤️
Miss Mina, you are the cutest when you say hello darlings at the beginning of each & every one of your videos😊
YESSSSS UVE BEEN TO CHEZ CLAUDETTE!!! I've always recommand that place to tourists 🙌
Great to know you've finally made it to Montreal as well. You have a big fan crowd here :)
Thank you for the video!!!❤️❤️❤️
